Anyone have a clue how they managed to make it look like Nikki stabbed her self in the hand!
I mean, yikes that looks so real it makes me wince.

It's all smoke and mirrors innit?.

I only have youtube to go by and can't control it well... this is based on a sequence of four shots....

FIRST OF ALL >>>TURN OFF THE SOUND....when you watch....the sound cues you to things which don't even happen...

Shot 1) Medium shot of Nikki starting the jam the gardening fork motion
Shot 2) CU fork goes into hand (no blood)
Shot 3) Medium shot Nikki winches in pain
Shot 4) CU fork sticking out of bloody hand

Simple....Shot 2) is done in reverse...it actually starts out with the fork in place sticking out of a prosthetic part of the hand...and the fork is actually pulled out....reverse the shot, which is very short, and it goes into the hand....no blood yet so viola.
Shot 1) sets the brain into the motion Shot 2) is the cheat Shot 3) Nikki winches and moans Shot 4) fork sticking out of hand that's now dressed with blood....Good quick picture editing like so much of the show...(you only notice it if it's bad)...
Now add the sound...sound of fork going in to hand plus off scene grunt, moan , yelp for Nikki....there you have it...smoke and mirrors...
