I just wanted to express my appreciation. I had never heard of Bad Girls before seeing Seasons 1-3 on Logo last year. The promos they ran didn’t really draw me in, but at some point I was watching and caught the “flat-packed furniture” conversation. From then on I was hooked. I’ve watched a fair amount of TV in my time but I have never been obsessed with a show and a relationship to this extent. I see from this board that I am not alone.

This weekend Logo is running a BG Marathon . (Clearly they don’t want me to have a life.) Watching some of the earlier episodes again I am enjoying it even more. I think the first time through I was always focused extensively on the H&N story, but today I was appreciating some of the other characters and storylines more than I did before. Looking at H&N all day is no bad way to spend a winter day, either. Gorgeous individually and so intense together.

I’ve been reading some of the threads here and also visiting the BG Annex, and it has really deepened my enjoyment of the show. In particular it has brought my attention to the ambiguity of the writing, which could be seen as frustrating, but actually makes the show a lot more interesting. It almost requires you to spend time thinking about the meaning, emotions, and motivation of the characters. Driving to visit family over Christmas I missed my highway exit in a BG reverie.

Anyway, I’m going to keep reading and enjoying the amazing discussions here, and feed the obsession while it lasts!

Welcome LauraK! It sounds like you jumped in at just the right episode--that flat-packed furniture scene is a definite turning point, and it's when the show captured my fascination too.

There's a ton of great discussion on the board, and you should always feel free to revive an old thread if it's on a topic you want to discuss. And I'm glad you enjoy the Annex as well--it's a very rewarding labor of love. :)

I can only echo the sentiments of Abzug & others in enjoying your enjoyment, we've all got it pretty bad, yep! :D Very glad you're enjoying the Annex, I find the closer I look at the show, the more it rewards me, and suspect others feel the same. ...Have a great time here, but keep an eye for those turnoffs, eh? I know just how you feel... I have days where I'm so spaced out thinking about Bad Girls I'm likely to forget to tie my shoes! --ekny
