Because of horrific spam on this board, we have changed the way new members are allowed onto the board.

We have email validation implimented already, but an additional measure is a new member can only post in a hidden area of the board. This is to ensure we can filter out the members who are eligible for full membership against those who are not.

Those who are genuine will then be allowed full access by admin or moderators on the board.

We looked at having Admin email validation but this does run the risk of having genuine applications being refused.

We apologise for having to take these measures. Spam, whatever the situation, is a big problem. We can only do what is best for this board overall. And thats stopping some really nasty spam, which in turn is confusing members, even upsetting them at times, and causing us hassle tracking them down to then delete and ban the membership.
