I am new to the forums.

I have always been a huge Nikki fan and I feel I am similar to her as I have dark hair like her, like books, speak our minds and are loyal to people who deserve respect like Monica and Barbara. I am glad that she won her appeal in "Coming Out" but I wish she'd have stayed a series or two longer, long enough to sort out Dockley and Fenner.

Maybe she should have just got her sentence reduced but still had to stay in Larkhall for a couple more years as it was sad to see her go in S3.

But I would like to know whether she was 33 or 34 in S1 in 1999? In the 4th or 5th episode broadcast in May 1999, Nikki says "In 10 years time I will be 44" so born about 1965 yet a couple of episodes later she says "In 10 years time I will be a 43 year old ex con with a degree". Or could she have meant that she'll be nearly 44 in 10 years when she gets out and if she said 10 years, it probably wasnt slap bang on 10 years, maybe a few months added???

Sorry to sound obsessive but I would like to pin an exact age to my 2nd fave TV character after Del Boy.

According to the Bad Girls book she was 35. I always took that to be her age at the start of her sentence.

Thanks for the reply. It is a bit confusing. I dont think though she was as old as 35 when S1 began in early 1999. She said she'd be 44 in 10 years then 43 in 10 years so she had to have been only 33 or 34.

Unless she was 35 when she got out in 2001? I wouldnt have thought that she was 35 when series 1 began in 1999. It was probably that she was maybe just turned 34 or nearly 34 in the spring of 1999 when she was in the 1st series and was 35 by lvery ate 2000 or 2001??

I think Mandana Jones was only 32 when S1 started.
