I am happy to accept feedback openly by readers. (BOARD NOTE we would recommend if any length i.e. more than a couple of points, it is done privately away from the story itself).

This is my second Nikki and Helen FanFiction. Two years have passed since Nikki's reconciliation with her parents and her confession about Bodybag. The couple have just had their relationship blessed and have left London for the quiet Sussex village of Chailey near Lewes. Nikki's latest book was a sales flop so for that reason Helen and Nikki have set up their own solicitors business, Stewart And Wade Solicitors Of Law. But, Helen falls hook, line and sinker for their receptionist, 30 year old Selina Roberts, who is a bisexual attractive woman. Does Nikki find out or does Helen end her infatuation with Selina without Nikki knowing anything?

I have also done the speech in a new way. Rather than keep adding "said Nikki" I have put their names at the beginning in block capitals in front of every bit of their dialogue eg, NIKKI This will work.
CHAILEY VILLAGE STREET. THEIR PREMISES.

Helen is shaking hands with a client. He then exits the office. Nikki is looking through the emails on the computer. Helen is now sifting through paperwork on the desk with Selina.

HELEN God, we have no end of clients now. Still, it will drum up business.
NIKKI Yes it will darling. We have been running this for just over 6 months and are making profits.
HELEN Yes, I am well pleased.
NIKKI You must be as well Selina?
SELINA Yes I am. I have been working in offices for 10 years now and have never had as good employers as you two.
HELEN That is good to hear Selina. Our profit is going up anyway.
SELINA Does this mean I can have a wage rise then?
NIKKI We'll see.
HELEN Actually she is a good worker and we wouldnt have got this far without Selina's help, so I reckon we should give her a wage rise of say, £20 a week.
NIKKI (gulps) £20. I would have thought £10, and even that was pushing it.
SELINA I am not worried either way.
HELEN Selina, I am putting your wages up to £20 a week as from next week.
NIKKI Sorry Selina, my apologies. Yes you have been a support to this business.
HELEN Just last year we were living in London's East End. Full of vice, crime and people from all over the world.
SELINA I know, I grew up near there in Stepney. The Crutchley Estate.
HELEN Really? A Cockney then?
SELINA Yes. I left London when I was 22 and stayed with a cousin here in Sussex while I got myself a job and a flat.
NIKKI I lived in London for 22 years before we relocated here. I am from Essex originally but lived in London for a long time.
SELINA I dont mind the fact that you two are...well.
NIKKI Lesbians? Dont worry you can say it. You are our friend now. I suppose you dont mind that one was an ex convict either do you?
SELINA It is because I have been with men before, but I have also had liasions with women as well. To put it plainly, I am bisexual.

Helen cannot resist blushing.

HELEN Wow, so us three are virtually in the same boat then.
NIKKI Yes.
SELINA My parents were quite supportive of it as well.
NIKKI Unlike mine. I was a full blown dyke and my parents threw me out when I was 16. I only reconciled with them 2 years ago.
SELINA I am sorry to hear that Nikki.
HELEN I did like men but I couldnt resist my feelings for Nikki here and went lesbian for her.
NIKKI And you have never regretted it have you?
HELEN No I havent.
NIKKI She gave up a bloke for me when I came out of prison.
SELINA That must have taken some guts.
HELEN (winks at Selina) Yes it did.

The phone rings. Nikki answers it. It is a client. Helen turns round in her chair. She is wondering if she is developing feelings for Selina. If she is, she worried whether she will act on them. She puts her head in her hand for a few seconds then continues her paperwork.

Nikki has gone round to visit a client about a house selling dispute. Helen and Selina are in the office working away. Helen is on the computer whereas Selina is doing paperwork. Helen keeps eyeing her up. After the 3rd time, Selina notices it.

SELINA What's up Helen?
HELEN Nothing, I am just looking at the calendar on the wall over there. I have to visit a client next week who was arrested for suspected fraud. I am trying to help him when the case goes to court.
SELINA Oh right. I thought you were admiring my new high heeled shoes.
HELEN (hastily) Err no I was just looking at the calendar. Selina can I ask you something? What is your opinion of Nikki?
SELINA She's alright. Why do you ask?
HELEN Oh nothing just I wanted to know if she has any bad points?
SELINA She has a bit of a temper, oh and not forgetting her conviction for manslaughter. Then again she was protecting her girlfriend from having her knickers pulled down by a bobby.
HELEN She has changed and it is hard to believe that she is now a solicitor helping people who have been wrongly convicted or suspected of these things.
SELINA Helen, you have been acting strangely for the whole morning. I have noticed you looking at me about 3 times today and you keep trying to get close to me.
HELEN Its because.....I dont know how to say this, but I have feelings for you Selina.

Selina looks on in astonishment.

SELINA F..feelings for me? Are you serious?
HELEN I wouldnt say something like this if I wasnt serious.
SELINA Oh my God.
HELEN I love Nikki, but I have a crush on you Selina. I try to hold back my feelings but I cannot control them. They say you cannot help who you fall in love with.
SELINA Why me though? Is it because I am not a cop killer, and that I didnt once push a prison officer down a prison stairway once while she was strugfgling against rowdy prisoners?
HELEN How did you know about that?
SELINA Nikki told me a few months ago. I was flabbergasted at the time. I feel uncomfortable working round her now. She is dangerous.
HELEN Yes, even I can be scared of her at times. I cant believe that she told you about it.
SELINA So this is why you have feelings for me is it? Because I am a mild mannered younger candidate for a lesbian lover?
HELEN I know that if I do act on my feelings, I will never forgive myself but as you said, Nikki isnt exactly an angel is she?
SELINA Me being bisexual must have something to do with your feelings must it? How long have you had a crush on me?
HELEN I have been having sexual thoughts about you for about 2 months now. Sometimes when I am cuddled up in bed with Nikki, all I think about is you Selina.
SELINA Right. I dont know aht to say Helen. Listen can i go for my break now? I need a bit of time to think about your bombshell.
HELEN Yes, go for your lunch. We're not too busy at the moment.

As Selina goes out into the back office, Helen carries on typing on the computer. She cannot believe that she has told Selina about her feelings for her.

This is the first time i've ever commented on a story I have not read! After reading the intro, I just new I could'nt bear it. I guess I don't think Helen deserves Nikki in this scenario. Nikki nad Helen are in bed. Helen is racked with nervousness about what she should do about her feelings for Selina. She lays in bed thinking. Nikki rouses and touches Helen on the shoulder but Helen flinches and gets out of bed to put her dressing gown on.

HELEN I had better get rerady to open up the shop. We have hundreds of clients to deal with.
NIKKI Its only 7:30. We dont open until 9am. Take it easy for a while girl.
HELEN I have a lot of paperwork to do Nikki and I think you had better get up as well.
NIKKI Helen is something bothering you? Is it weaird dreams of Bodybag trying to rape me in front of you? Ha (Laughs)
HELEN No I am just tired and it is that time of the month as well.

Helen goes into the bathroom, leaving a slightly bewildered Nikki tucked up in bed. Nikki turns over and goes back to sleep.

AN HOUR LATER

Helen is on the computer. Selina walks in with her briefcase. She doesnt even say anything just goes straight to the small cloakroom to hang her jacket up. She then sits at her desk and opens her briefcase.

HELEN Morning Selina.
SELINA Oh morning.
HELEN What did you do last night after work?
SELINA Why do you ask?
HELEN Nothing just asking?
SELINA Or is it part of your plan to woo me?
HELEN Selina, I know you have been quiet since my bombshell yestarday but can you at least put on a smile for our customers?
SELINA Helen I am not interested in you. Cant you take the hint?
HELEN Nikki will be down in a minute but before she does come down, admit that you do feel the same way about me? I know you do.
SELINA I have work to do.
HELEN Ok I wont pressure you but I know you feel the same.

Nikki walks in with a tray of coffees for her Helen and Selina. She hands them out.

SELINA Thanks Nikki.
HELEN Thanks.
NIKKI Anything for the woman I love.
HELEN Dont worry about it.
SELINA Actually Nikki.....(sudeenly realising that telling her about Helens feelings for her and adultery plans is not such a good idea)............dont worry. I was just going to say that I am pleased to work with you Nikki.
NIKKI And Helen. Not forgetting my lovely lady.

Nikki kisses Helen.

HELEN Nikki, not in the shop. Anyone could walk in.
NIKKI We are not open for another 25 minutes. Chill out babes.

Nikki exits out the back to put the tray back in the kitchen upstairs.

HELEN Were you going to tell Nikki about me just now?
SELINA Yes but I bit my tongue a bit. Maybe you should do the same before trying it on with your receptionists.
HELEN Selina but...
SELINA (cuts in) Any more of this Helen and I shall be walking out that door and will not be coming back.

HELEN turns round and carries on the computer.

Its good to have an update, but I can't get my head around Helen fancying someone other than Nikki - I don't like it. But then of course, that does leave Nikki free for me :D

Helen is already making a mistake by opening up her heart to Selena.
I think she will regret it. Stop and think first.

Helen and Nikki are drinking cocktails at a nice bar in Brighton. The bar has a few evening drinkers, girls and men who have just finished work.

HELEN I was on the phone recently to Larkhall.
NIKKI Oh yeah. Who to?
HELEN Mrs Hollamby, well Nicholson. Fenner has been dead for 2 years now. Joy Masterton is still the Governing Governor. She used to be as hard as nails but has softened up a lot. I was having quite a goodold chin way with Bodybag.
NIKKI Glad everyone wanted that bastard Fenner dead. Did you slip into the conversation that it was me who pushed her down the steps 7 years ago at Larkhall?
HELEN Dont start that. We promised that we'd never talk about that again.
NIKKI All I can say is I hope that bastard Fenner was laying in a pool of blood.
HELEN He was. His wife Di was accused of murdering him in the old cellar at the prison where Yvonne Atkins was murdered by him. But it wasnt her. Shell Dockley was shipped to an institution, whereas there is a new bitch there called Natalie Buxton. She gets on quite well with new screw Kevin Spiers. Finally there are two old age pensioners who have had more plastic surgery than Michael Jackson. They are Phyl Oswyn and Bev Tull.
NIKKI Any relation to Jethro??
HELEN I hear that Selina comes in here on occasions when she is in Brighton. She visits the town a lot.
NIKKI Does she? You seem to mention her a lot. Is it because she is a fellow dyke?
HELEN No. I just think she is a good secretary.
NIKKI With a nice pair of tits you must think? (laughs) Only kidding Helen. She has got a new girlfriend.
HELEN (startled) What?
NIKKI Why are you so suprised?

NIKKI She has been friends with her for weeks but they decided to become a couple, about, 2 weeks ago. They slept together for the first time then. They have known each other for about 4 months. She told me yesterday. I am pleased that she has found someone.
HELEN Yes..I bet she is.
NIKKI We might have to look for a new secretary soon as well.
HELEN Why?
NIKKI Her lover Laura works for a top insurance company in Eastbourne. They want more staff and Selina told me that she is thinking of applying for the vacancy of Admin Accountant there. Her lover has already put in a word for her.

Helen tries as hard as she can to contain her thoughts and jealousy so that Nikki doesnt suspect anything.

HELEN I am just going to the ladies.
NIKKI Dont be long, sexy bums.

Helen leaves the table and walks to the ladies toilets. She stands in the corrdor and shakes her head then puts her head in her hands and sighs.

NIKKI Helen, what is wrong. You have been acting all strangely since our drink in Brighton last night. You hardly spoke to me. You went to bed early. I had to sit up and watch EastEnders on my own.
HELEN Its that time of the month thats all. Where the hell is Selina. She's 5 minutes late.
NIKKI I know, she has a doctors appointment at 10am. She wont be in until half eleven.
HELEN Oh for gods sake. Does Selina tell you everything. It seems I am the last to know round here. Its as if she is your business partner and not me.
NIKKI Helen, calm down. Why do you fly off the handle when ever I mention Selina? What was so bad about me telling you about Selina's new relationship last night? Is something bothering you? It is very odd that you'd react to something that is no skin off your nose.
HELEN She is a good worker. I dont want to lose her. I am nervous that she will leave her job.
NIKKI We can get another replacement. God there are thousands of university students who have just graduated who are out there crying out for a cushy job like this. Relax woman.

Nikki carries on typing.

AN HOUR LATER.

It is now half past 11 in the morning. Selina walks in with her briefcase and sits at her chair.

HELEN Selina, can I have a word in the office please?
NIKKI Can I accompany you? You wont be giving her a hard time will you?
HELEN Nikki, for once, just mind your own business. It is about why she should be telling both of us about her dental appointments rather than just you. Both of us are her employers.

Helen and Selina go into the back room. Helen closes the door behind her. Nikki starts to look suspicious.

HELEN That is not why I called you in here really. Well it is, but its about your new relationship actually. Why did you only tell Nikki?
SELINA Do you want to know what I had for breakfast this morning? I dont have to tell you anything.
HELEN Why didnt you tell me though a few weeks ago when I was obsessing over you? Then I would have backed off rather than lust over you. I cant stop thinking about you Selina. I cant sleep at night, I cant think straight. All I think about is you and me.
SELINA There is no bastard you and me. How many more times? That day when you opened your heart to me and admitted your feelings was the day after I had first slept with Laura my new girlfriend. That is why I am not interested. Besides, I wouldnt want a Scottish haggis like you. I wouldnt lesbo with you if you were the last woman on earth. How many times have I got to drill that into your thick Scottish skull hey? Would you really have backed off if I told you sooner? You are willing to do the dirty on your own lover, so why would that stop you trying to come inbetween me and Laura?
HELEN Selina.
SELINA Right. I am handing in my resignation as of now. If I stay here, I might just tell Nikki about your harrassment towards me. If you want to leave Nikki for someone slightly younger, then get a job in a creche.

Selina storms out of the back room. She starts packing her stationary.

NIKKI What is up Selina? Has Helen upset you?
SELINA I am not going into it, all I can say is I am resigning. Find yourself another mug to wipe your arses for you. It looks as if I will get that job in Eastbourne. Saves working for some shitty small time lawyers. If you want some answers, then talk to your lover.

Selina grabs her briefcase and storms out of the building.

NIKKI What have you said to her!!
HELEN Nothing. I just told her to communicate with both of us and she went into a huff.
NIKKI No it is more than that. Is there something that you are keeping from me?
HELEN Nothing.
NIKKI I wasnt born yesterday. Have you two been getting up to anything?

Helen is in deep trouble. She realises that if she tells Nikki she has had feelings for Selina, then their relationship will be over. So she decides to tell a lie.....

HELEN Selina has been coming onto me. She has been doing it for weeks now.

NIKKI I did wonder why you called her in the office for a petty thing like telling only one of us about her dentist appointments.
HELEN I told her it had to stop. Now do you believe me?
NIKKI (pauses)...I'll kill her. The little tart.

Nikki leaps from her chair and begins to run to the door to run after Selina but Helen restrains her.

HELEN Nikki!! Calm down. Nikki! Stop struggling to get past me. I will not let you past until you have calmed down.
NIKKI I'll kill the rotten bitch.

Helen wrestles Nikki and pushes her into her swivel chair but nearly sending her on the floor in the process.

HELEN She has gone now. She'll never be coming back.
NIKKI he must have left her home address and contact details.
HELEN They are all in her briefcase.
NIKKI Electoral registers.
HELEN No, I think she will move to Eastbourne quite quickly now in the fear that you might go looking for her. Go into hiding as we say.
NIKKI If I find her, after I have finished with her, I'll no doubt be sharing a cell with this Natalie Buxton character. Or even be fondled by Bodybag. If I go to Eastbourne and ask around, and if I do find her, Ill use her kneecaps as ornaments for the mantlepiece.
HELEN If you do such a thing we are finished. I did tell you, no more secrets, no more crimes.

Helen's latest words make Nikki rethink.

NIKKI And if I ever find out that you frondled or fingered her back, I'll be more than happy to end up having to share a cell with this plastic Phyl Oswyn and rubbing Masterton up the wrong way. Do I make myself clear then?
HELEN Crystal.
NIKKI Deal.

THAT EVENING.

Helen and Nikki are walking through the high street of Lewes near Chailey.

NIKKI Fancy getting a bus into Brighton? The seafront must be bursting with nightclubs and bars.
HELEN Why not. I think there is a bus stop around the corner.
NIKKI We have had 2 new clients. Business is booming. We are getting more clients by the minute. I reckon we should open up another solicitors and hire more staff.
HELEN That seems a good idea.
NIKKI Put Richard Branson and Sir Alan Sugar on the dole queues hey? Call ourselves Wade and.....

Nikki is stopped mid sentence as soon as her and Helen walk round the corner. Nikki spots Selina standing at a bus stop. Suddenly, anger washes over her. She takes a huge gulp while she starts to grit her teeth. Helen also notices Selina. Before Helen can restrain her, Nikki starts charging over towards Selina.

NIKKI You Bitch!!!!!!! I'll Kill You!!!!!!!!!!

Selina turns her head and sees Nikki running to her shouting. Her face turns to sheer horror. She is probably thinking "Why is Nikki angry with me, it was Helen that was doing the chasing" but obviously Helen has twisted things to make Selina look bad. Selina starts running away from Nikki.........

Selina starts running down the street. Nikki catches her up, grabs onto her jacket and sends her flying head first into a pile of rubbish bags outside a restaurant. She then grabs Selina by the throat and pins her down.

NIKKI You dirty old slut!!!!! Trying to shag my woman!!!
SELINA (screaming back) What??? I dont know what you are talking about.
NIKKI Liar!!!!!

Helen grabs onto Nikki and tries to pull her off. Nikki starts repeatedly slapping Selina across the face but is pulled off by Helen and two pedestrians in the street. By now, everyone in the street is watching, and a small crowd has gathered around the shop front. Selina starts running off. Nikki begins to chase her but if restrained by Helen and the two men.

NIKKI Run all you like bitch!! I'll get you in the end.

Nikki wrestles with Helen and the two men to let go of her.

NIKKI Alright! Alright. Get off.

This is a small trick. Nikki has them believing she is calming down but as quick as a flash, she sprints off down the street. Helen doesnt have any time to catch her. But by the time she runs round the corner of the street, Selina is nowhere to be seen.

NIKKI Shit!!!!! Bastards!!!!! I'll get her.

Helen runs up to her.

HELEN Nikki, this is no way to go about it. Do you want to end up inside again?
NIKKI She is a dirty bitch. She tried to get onto you. No one does that and gets away with it. I will get her.
HELEN No you wont. Look she has gone now. She wont risk coming back round her knowing you will be around. And you will not be following her to Eastbourne. Thing is, I had integrity and ignored her.
NIKKI Ah but did you?
HELEN Meaning?
NIKKI Sure you didnt try it back on her. I am sure you didnt resist. She is only 30 whereas I am 42. You must have had temptations for a younger woman.
HELEN I did nothing of the sort. Honestly, I threatened her with police action if she continued.
NIKKI And I was born yesterday.
HELEN I think we had better go home and talk about this. We have a lot of talking to do.
NIKKI What about Thomas, Sean and Dominic McAllister?? But they all have something us girls havent got. I dont need to explain what I mean. When Jim Fenner fondled you between the legs, I bet you couldnt wait for him to stick it in you. You just cant help yourself. If it isnt men, then you are shagging women.

Helen slaps Nikki round the face.

HELEN You listen to me Ok. I have always been faithful to you Nikki. I have stuck my neck out on the line for you countless times and this is how you repay me. I have not ever once tried to respons in any sexual way towards Selina's actions. She came onto me.
NIKKI Whatever. I am going back home now. I think we have a lot of talking to do.
HELEN I am coming with you.

Helen and Nikki are sitting on the sofa.

HELEN Selina wouldnt stop. She kept calling me "my darling" "sweetie". I told her that she was sick and that if she carries on, she would get sacked. I didnt want anything to jeapordise our relationship.
NIKKI Bitch. She is lucky she got away. I'd have throttled her otherwise.
HELEN I am being totally straight with you Nikki. I love you. No one else. One thing is for sure, Selina will not ever be back again.
NIKKI We have had a good peaceful life since we left London and now some tart has to try and ruin it for us two.
HELEN I know.
NIKKI We dont need any assistants at our solicitors. We can manage quite well by ourselves. Its not like we are overloaded with work is it?
HELEN No. And if Selina ever does come back or I see her again, I will probably do to her what you did, only this time I might not let her run off. Anyway, shall we go down the local pub and have a few G&Ts then
NIKKI Why not?
HELEN Give me a few minutes to put a bit more maekup on and we'll be off.
NIKKI I'll just brush my teeth.

As Helen is in the bathroom, she gets a call on her mobile, It is Selina. Nikki has heard the phone ringing through the bathroom door.

HELEN (on phone)Selina What do you want?
SELINA (on phone) What was all that about earlier on. Have you been twisting things and saying that it was me you bitch. It was you who was coming on to me. I will make you pay for this.
HELEN (on phone) Selina, I needed to find a way to get myself out of trouble as Nikki was questioning it all the time. I just couldnt have any time to think clearly so I came up with this excuse.
SELINA (on phone) And drop me in it. Great.

Nikki walks towards the bathroom door suspecting that it may be Selina who is calling Helen. She puts her left ear to the door.
HELEN (on phone)I had feelings for you, and I wanted to be with you. But when Nikki kept on asking if I ever responded, or if it was me, I had to lie and say it was you instead.
SELINA (on phone) You twisted person.
HELEN (on phone) I understand why you didnt want me as you have a girlfriend, but you are younger and prettier than Nikki and that is why I wanted to be with you.

Helern is totally unaware that Nikki is eavesdropping on the other side of the door.

HELEN (on phone) I'll talk to you more tomorrow. Ring me. When I know it is you, I'll pretend you are a client and will reply by saying "Hi Mr Mason or something. Then I'll go upstairs and pretend I am getting some papers.

Nikki goes into a state of shock and disbelief. She frowns heavily and shakes her head. She walks back to the settee in shock.
