As people who've watched the show know, Season 3 was never released on DVD (or VHS, for that matter, far as I know). I'm aware that the (crashed or permanently down?) L-word site (3sympatico.ca) had outtakes of the fledgling lesbian romance, but I really want to see the whole season, uncut, if possible.
If anyone recorded it & is willing to snail-mail me copies, I'm more than happy to send bucks to cover shipping & whatever media form you've got it on or can record it on (DVD, VHS)--or trade for books or whatever you'd like.
Mpeg or something like that would be massively convenient, of course, but... anything at all would be great. PM me if you'd rather. Thanks all, --ellen

Season 3 of O&A now has a theoretical release date of Oct 2006. Not holding my breath, but it'd be nice.

We saw season 3 of Once and Again here in New Zealand about 3 years ago if memory serves me right ,a great show i thought and then they pulled it and i dont think thet made any more. I just hate itwhen they do that. But the Jessie Lesbian story line was sweet and touching then nada shit happens
Also for me a big bonus in that show was the georgous Sela Ward Very Happy .
Cheers Chris.

Hi Chris,
I started watching it kind of randomly, initially I thought Ugh, this is going to be just too too straight for me, but that's part of the show's appeal, in a way: to take these totally ordinary (very white, very upper-middle-class) people & put just a bit of a twist on their mainly very ordinary lives. Of course it's still a soap but it's the small things they do that almost always surprised me. Whenever I think a scene's going to be predictable... it's not, quite. I found myself respecting the producers for that, a lot. As for the lesbian thing, I know it's minor, but Wood is an uncommonly good actor & I wanted to see what she did with it. Thanks for writing, lucky you, got to see the whole thing! --e

I have no idea how i did that double post so sorry. :shappens
Dunno, I should be able to delete the duplicate because I'm a moderator but not in this forum, I guess. If you feel strongly abt it you can edit your own post & just leave a little 'x' in the field (you can't post something with no content). No big.
I did see thirteen & thought it was pretty good. I can't believe American audiences were so shocked at its content, how long ago were these people teenagers, the dark ages? At any rate, I got it particularly because I wanted to see what Wood did with 'older' material, and because I've never seen Holly Hunter act badly in anything. And sure enough, Hunter was excellent as always, but (imo) the entire movie is headed for that one goal, the scene on the floor at the end w/Hunter & Wood. And god was it incredibly good or what? Major award material. Wood was more than capable of holding her own there, & Hunter is a fine enough actor to let her. Pleasure seeing them work together! --e
Can one add a reply to something in the Archives? Let's find out.
My Netflix Queue says, of season three: cancelled.
Bummer. Not looking good. If you have it, I'm still interested in swapping or finding a way to record it. Thanks.
ekny, good heavens girl, is it you
again?!
well, what now?
nooo sh--. um. golly. really? after all this time?
awright, awright, i get it, you're persistent. so--where is it, already?
figures.
I don't know if it'll be seeded forever, so for anyone else interested, my thoughts would be along the now-is-better-than-never lines. :) It's a big download, 3 sections, each about 2+gig. The 'short' versions aren't currently being seeded, at least not the first half.
well... alright then, thanks for sharing, i guess.
You guess? Try to be gracious here, huh?
um. you are talking to yourself, you know.
Fine. Be that way. :eek  :silly
etc.
