I laugh everytime I hear that line...
i know this was posted AGES ago but i LOVE that line! Me and my sister use that ALL the time. i think it is possibly the best line ever! that and "don't you wish it was electric!"
EDIT: :o i just remembered! i love the bit in series three when Helen tells Nikki about what Jim did to her but not to do anything about it and Nikki goes to torment Jim. i can't remeber then exact line but it is something about Shell being good with a bottle and then she says something about so is she. the look on jim's face! Wasn't there another thing I was suppose to check for you? With that damn video from hell taking up all my time/resources/strength I lost many things I thought would stick in my brain (I should really know better and start writing things down)

Okay I slowed it down to 50%, cranked up the volume and it is in fact "cared" past tense "for Nikki" - we all know that to be a BIG FAT LIE!!!!

i have had 2 pay that much 4 a cab, our sat nights r the most expensive thats when our drivers but the fares up a bit more but i made sure my friends got home first i went past my house twice that night but as the say third time lucky. but if i remember she wood of had 2 go to trisha's first then onto the airport i guess it was just 2 make sure as she needed 2 sort things out with trisha first. All the quotes everyone's mentioned are brilliant. Thanks to the writers for giving Nikki such great lines...and to Ms. J for delivering them so well. But my absolute favorite is "don't you wish it was electric". It's almost a throw away line the way Ms. J delivers it. Believe it or not, I actually missed it the first time I watched that episode. I literally whooped with laughter when I heard it the second time around. That entire scene is one of my favorites. That one and the one between N&H in the art room where they share the most sweetly gentle & intimate moments of their entire story. Makes that scene all the more precious to me. Talk about feeling warm and fuzzy! I also like the scene where H wakes up N in her cell...Oops, sorry.... getting off the thread here meself...! *blush* Basic

'Cause there's that scene with Babs where Babs asks Nikki if she believes in soulmates and Nikki smiles and says yeah, she thinks she does. So you know that's where she's going with her feelings for Helen. It's huge for her...much more profound than anything she's experienced before...

One of the things that affects me most about their story is that both Nikki and Helen are such strong women with powerful convictions and high principles. I love that about them. It adds such depth and potency to their relationship...makes it that much more meaningful. And although they say some really vile things to each other, you know it's because they're such passionate people who are totally frustrated by the untenable situation they're in. Basic

I understand there was some interest in doing a tv movie following up on Nikki and Helen (something about them running a bar in Glasgow), but the actresses weren't interested; they were ready to move on. Thanks abzug. Interesting. Doesn't surprise me, though. They're both very talented actresses and I can see why they wouldn't want to be stuck with Nikki and Helen, as much as we may want them to! There's another consideration, too...their stint on BG was so good and has gotten so much positive feedback perhaps they made a very savvy decision to leave well enough alone. No doubt there's a myriad of other possibilities as to why they opted out of a follow-up.
Hey, notsuchabadgirl...I bet we could use up a substantial amount of space on this board speculating about Simone and Mandana and whether they had feelings for each other or not. For me, that's a sensitive and private issue and it just feels wrong to me to speculate about it. Ummm...my previous karma-speculative posting nothwithstanding!
The SA trailers and outtakes indicate they got along really well, though, don't they? Perhaps one day M&S will share what it was like for them to play these roles. To her credit, I think M gives us more than an inkling of what it was like for her in her chat in the extras on Series 3. Basic

I would absolutely love for their story to be continued, too! I just posted something on the Helen forum in the quotes bit about how their relationship has affected me. Again, went off the thread a bit. Oh well.
But I wonder if Mandana and Simone would be into it? Maybe they'd like nothing more than to distance themselves from the characters of Nikki & Helen. I just wonder how much playing those roles may have impacted them.... Basic

i know what you mean about simone and mandana given that they are both straight women i can understand that they would not want to be typecast as lesbians. watching them in many of their scenes i find it ivery hard to believe that they didnt have feelings for each other it looked so real. I understand there was some interest in doing a tv movie following up on Nikki and Helen (something about them running a bar in Glasgow), but the actresses weren't interested; they were ready to move on. I wonder if they had waited a few years and seen how hard it was to get roles as good as their BG roles, whether they would have been more open to the idea. The Garden Assistant

ok this is embarrassin 2 admit but i cant remember what ep it (i hurry 2 get the dvds out so i will no) but the line i like from nikki is when she throws 'while i obviously cant' the way mandana says it has me in giggles everytime (i cant believe ive seen it so many times & i still cant remember it Simone really needs 2 get out of my head, only 4 that line 2 stay n there then she can go straight back in again ) The Number one

For me, that's a sensitive and private issue and it just feels wrong to me to speculate about it. Ummm...my previous karma-speculative posting nothwithstanding!

Oh yeah. It is definately making me nuts! Especially since BBC america decided to run an extended episode of footballers wives this week and didn't put BG on at all!
I was so completely disappointed. I have to admit sometimes I think I may be addicted.

If only I had my dvds....I wonder if they have even been shipped yet...oh no now I am getting paranoid...what if they don't come...what if they were damaged during shipping...

You know I hate to admit this but I love the scene in s2e2 (I think that's right) after Nikki is sent down the block when fenner was looking for the cell phone. The second time Helen comes into the cell while Karen is there. You know I hate to admit this but I love the scene in s2e2 (I think that's right) after Nikki is sent down the block when fenner was looking for the cell phone. The second time Helen comes into the cell while Karen is there. Nikki is just sitting there staring at her and then replies to her question with "It's piss off just like I gave that other tart" ...that kinda turns me on...
