Title: Garden Party
Description: What's in your backyard?

Loon - July 22, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
Where do you live? Where do you play? What makes home, home? What kinds of curious critters, loony lawn ornaments, silly signage, stunning scenery, fascinating flora, or quirky characters do you get to see everyday? Whether you live in the city, suburbs, country, or somewhere in between, take a picture, no habitat is too humble.

So come on, get out your camera and pull up a lawn chair, this cat is dying of curiosity!

To start off, what’s a garden party without some flowers?...

Loon thanks for sharing natures beauty .

They are really beautiful .

Sackville your Fur Baby looks like he is surveying his domain with his right ear from behind just slightly tuned into what is happening behind him in the house .

Nice photo's too , Clouds are mother natures way of adding beauty to this earth .

Loon - July 25, 2006 03:26 AM (GMT)
Oooh, I love it. Is the feline always that vigilant or was he just putting on a good show?

Baby pictures…erm…would you believe my dog ate them?

I agree Ningi, they’re that dynamic component that do so much for mood.

Here’s a little Canadian scenery…I just call it a glorified mosquito hatchery.

How about some wildlife…Lions and tigers and…squirrel?

Loon it might be just a glorified mosquito hatchery but still it is a nice looking place .

I like the squirrel :) .

Keep posting more Pics please .

sackville - July 25, 2006 01:51 PM (GMT)
Hey that's the squirrel my cat was watching! ;)

I've got 6 kitties that keep watch each day. They have a nice bird bath outside the window and tons of chipmunks, birds, and squirrels (2 babies plus parents) to watch. Luckily, I've got 8 oversized windows with "perchs" in front of them... so there normally is only cat fights when there are only 3 open windows... and more than 3 want to sleep in them. ;)

I'll have to dig up some fall pics and take some of the little artsy things in the yard.

Keep the posts coming. :)

P.S. - Ningi... you are right.. my kitty was keeping tabs on everything all at once. :)

Loon - July 28, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
I agree the scenery is great...it was just that I was standing in a swamp when I took the picture.

Does each cat have his or her prefered post?

I wasn't lying down on the job, I swear.

Cool photos!!

As to the kitties, they all have their favorite spots. Most of the time you'll find 2 trying to share a spot... most of the time they are good at sharing... but other times they'll try to pull "rank" and get the spot for just their own enjoyment. I think.... there is a spot for each of you... view is the same... just spread out... but nooooooooooooo. ;)

Well ladies, I live in the city. Here is a pic out of one of my back windows on the second floor, this window happens to be to my office. This view is the common area of my condo.

A very eclectic collection of lawn chairs your neighbours have. Is the pool usually very busy or was it just the time of day? (I’m assuming it was evening because one of the tenants has a porch light on.)

I’ve got a few more pictures.

It’s this type of scenery that makes me think I’ll go stir crazy in an office job.

Loon,

That pic was taken at 6 AM before the pool was opened, I was thinking about waiting for the cute blonde in the white bikini to come out before I snapped that photo, but.......

Ah, the fine line between curiosity and voyeurism “where doth ye lie?”

What a lovely thing!

Sent to me by a friend of mine. Thought they were worthy of a post.

sackville - August 2, 2006 11:14 PM (GMT)
Loon - Great photos!

Toni - Wow! How adorable are those?!

P.G. - Psst... remember to NOT use a flash when you take a photo of the cute blonde... or you'll be busted. Wait! Maybe you should try to get one of some being "busted".... no bra/top in the pool. ;)

HuskiesFan - August 3, 2006 12:23 PM (GMT)

Loon - August 4, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)
It's great! The horses are like gentle giants.

I may just have an overactive imagination, but can anyone else see a sort of mask figure made by the trees?

I kinda see something between the 2nd and 4th tree (not counting the tiny bit of a tree top on the immediate left of the photo in the numbering scheme) that is mask like...

This is a typical scene in my backyard, but it is unusual to have the fawns come out of the woods to graze.
