Blind Date
Helen was so mad, at herself she let Claire do it to her again. Claire had promised her just three weeks earlier it would be the last time, she should have known better. The only thing keeping Helen sane during times like these was the fact she knew Claire truly loved her and only wanted her to be happy. Ever since Claire had meet Michael a little over a year ago she had been relentless pushing Helen to settle down as well. Helen and Claire were not only business partners but best friends. Helen knew Claire was up to something she had placed coffee and a bagel on her desk this morning. I will just let her stew in it for a while I'm not going to ask her what she wants or needs just yet I'll make her come to me, knowing Claire it won't be to long.
Helen was right fifteen minutes later in walked Claire with a Cheshire Cat smile on her face. Good morning Helen and how are you today? I am find Claire Helen said deciding to play along and thanks so much for breakfast. Speaking of eating what are you doing for dinner tonight? Helen looked up she could not help but laugh at her friend there it was she had lowered the boom another blind date. This time Claire did not give Helen time or days to come up with a reason to cancel as she had the last two times this date was set up for tonight right after work. Don't worry Helen you won't be alone this will be a double date. Sean and Thomas are both friends of Micheal's it will be great. I will forward the directions to the restaurant to you and with that Claire was gone. What just happened Helen said out loud Shit I let her do it to me again.
The day had gone by relatively fast and before Helen knew it was time to head to the restaurant. Helen used the whole cab ride to try and come up with excuses to leave early she had a sicking feeling she would need one. She took a deep breath and followed the hostess to their table. Helen walked over to the table where the two men were talking and extended her hand for introductions. She had to count to ten to keep her temper in place as the man she was introduced to as Sean eyed her up and held her hand longer than necessary. Hello my name is Thomas it is a pleasure to meet you the other man said reaching for Helen's hand as well.
Earlier that day across town Nikki Wade was just finishing a meeting when in walked Caroline and Yvonne. Are you ready for lunch Nik I could eat a cow Yvonne asked. Yea, just give me a minute to grab my stuff. Nikki had only been in her position a short time, she had meet Yvonne and Caroline on her first day and they had become fast friends. Nikki needed a new start she had broken up with her girlfriend of nine years and everything around her reminded her of their relationship so she asked for a job transfer packed up her bags and headed to London. Nikki how did the meeting go you were in there a long time Caroline asked taking a bit of her salad? It was going great until Monica started telling everyone that I was new in town and did not know to many people within two seconds Karen was on the phone with her cousin and I have a blind date with one of his friends tonight at 7:00. She had me locked down and cornered in no time, I was just standing there with my mouth up. I had already told Monica I had planned to work tonight so I could not give an excuse to get out of it. I am meeting Thomas tonight for dinner at 7:00.
Thomas, that is a man's name Yvonne said as laughter began to pour out of her. Nikki what are you going to do Caroline did not find the situation funny at all she had planned to ask Nikki out tonight. There is not a lot I can do, as you lot have convinced me that I should be here a little longer get my feet in the door before I tell everyone I am gay. I will go to dinner and go home how hard could it be. Nikki's day went by like a flash and before she knew it she was standing over the table introducing herself to the people sitting there. Nikki made her way around the table and almost feel over when her eyes meet the most beautiful green eyes she had ever seen. Hi I am Nikki Wade, Helen Stewart she said as she offered her hand. Sean broke the spell wow you are both gorgeous I do not know which one I want. Helen and Nikki looked to each other like I can not believe he just said that, Thomas lowed his head. Thomas knew he had to step in or it would be a very long night. What can I get you ladies to drink, vodka straight Helen answered same for me was Nikki's reply. Oh yea I love it when woman drink like men Helen did not even turn to look she knew it was Sean. I am going to kill Claire with my bare hands thank god Nikki is here or this would be a very long night. Helen caught herself why did I just think that I don't even know this woman? Helen and Nikki ordered quickly both wanting this night to be over but for very different reasons. Helen wanted to get away from Sean, Nikki wanted to get away from Helen. Nikki did not think she could take sitting next to this beautiful woman ,that she was getting alone with so well, for much longer before she took her in her arms.
Nikki had to shake her head twice she thought she heard Sean ask Helen how much money she made because he wanted to make sure she did not make more then him. Nikki stood up I am going to the bathroom, I will join you Helen said as she stared back at Sean. Sean said wait a minute why do women always go to the bathroom together, both Helen and Nikki looked at Sean and without thinking said because you Sean. Sean simply smiled and took it as a compliment. He thought they meant women did not trust their girlfriends to be alone with him while they were gone. Sean had a bit of an ego problem. Neither Nikki or Helen could believe men like Sean still exist, they felt sorry for Thomas he seems like a nice guy but Sean had not let him get a word in. Once they were in the sitting area of the bathroom Helen turned to Nikki and asked why are we here? We are two intelligent, independent, funny women. And you are gorgeous Nikki I do not understand why you would be on a blind date. I can say the same and more about you Miss Stewart, why are you on a blind date Nikki asked? That is easy Nikki I am a 38 year old female lawyer in London, the good of boys capitol of the world, who co- owns her on firm. I do not have time to date I have a business to run. And you how did you end up here tonight?. I could not think of a reason why I could not make it quick enough. No, really I just moved here a short time ago so my co-workers are taking it upon themselves to make sure I am not lonely. Do you fancy a drink Nikki let's get out of here? Nikki and Helen went back to the table and each made excuses and left. Sean turned to Thomas how do you think it went, but before he noticed the growl on Thomas' face he said oh shit we forgot to get their numbers and got up and ran out of the restaurant just in time to see Helen and Nikki get in a taxi and drive away.

Helen took Nikki to a small bar not far from her office. That was a total train wreck my friend Claire must really think I am desperate if she thought I would like Sean Helen said turning to give Nikki the drink she had ordered. Although, I do not think yours was that bad. You want him you can have him he is not my type was all Nikki said. Well then Ms. Wade if a dashing doctor is not your type what is? Nikki wanted to yell out you as loud as she could but said we will have to hold that conversation for another day have you looked at the time? Nikki thanked Helen for the drink and went to grab a taxi. Helen quickly caught up with Nikki and gave her a business card and just how are we going to do that if you can not find me. Without warning Helen kissed Nikki on the cheek and went to find her own taxi to take her back to the office to get her car. Once safe inside the taxi Helen let out a deep breath what was that all about why did I kiss her? Nikki was so excited she could barely sleep, and when she did finally fall asleep she dreamed of Helen Stewart.
Helen had barely entered her office before Claire hit the door all excited. So how was it, how was your date last night Claire asked sitting on the edge of Helen's desk? I have been sitting here staring out the window trying to figure out what went on last night. You lost me Helen, what do you mean? Sean he gives women a bad name he is a first rate jerk Helen answered. Ok, no second date what is there to figure out. Nikki, the other woman Thomas' blind date got completely under my skin. You mean in a bad way right asked Claire? No, Helen said I means she is one of the smartest, funniest most attractive people I have met in a lone time. NO, no no no no that is not possible smart yes even funny but women do not find other women attractive Helen that is not what you mean. Yes, Claire it is, this is as clear as day to me that is why I am so confused. I was attracted to her, not Sean, I wanted to be on a date with her not Sean. Helen you were drunk I mean you were not it your right mind. You are not in your right mind now telling me this Helen. Helen I would not be so sure I am not bigged and if I were you I would get this nonsense out of your head Claire said as she stormed out leaving Helen both hurt and more confused by Claire's behavior. After all Claire was her best friend if she could not tell her about Nikki without a bad reaction who could she tell. Helen understood now why people stayed in the closet.
Nikki was walking through the parking lot heading toward her building when she heard a very familiar voice so love how did you make out last night any hot gossip to tell me Yvonne asked still laughing? How did you and Thomas get on? I would rather go to the gynecologists. Nikki he could not be that bad I have meet him I thought he was quite nice and sort of a looker. Well why don't you date him? Saturday's good for me Helen if you are sure you don't have to go. Do you want to meet at my place Nikki say around 7:00 Helen ask ignoring Nikki's earlier statement. Seven is good for me Helen do you like Jazz? Helen took a deep breath and sat back in her chair I love jazz Nikki. Excellent I will see you Saturday at 7:00 bye Helen. Saturday came around quickly, Helen had gone shopping for the perfect dress she wanted to impress Nikki even though she said she was only getting the dress because she needed a new one. Helen's door bell brought her back to reality it was 7:00 on the dot. Helen open the door to Nikki standing there in a black Armani Suit with a white shirt that did not seem to have any buttons. Nikki looked on trying not to laugh as Helen looked so serious. Here Helen you need a drink and Nikki pasted Helen a very large drink. Yea, thanks it might help Nikki Helen said taking the drink and taking a large gulp all at the same time. I hope this does not shock you Nikki I mean it sure as shit shocks me Helen said taking another drink. No Helen it doesn't shock me. I mean I feel the same way I was attracted to you as soon as I shook your hand. It's just I can hide it better than you. Nikki wanted to say years of practice but she could see how scared Helen was and she did not want to scare her off before she had a chance to get to know her. Maybe we should not make such a big deal out of it Helen can't people be attracted to each other for who they are and not for what sex they are? After a few drinks absolutely was Helen's answer. Now what Nikki what happens now? Why don't we concentrate on getting to know each other tonight I am going to take you to a great jazz club that should be nice and then we will have a few more dates and spend sometime together I mean I think that is how they do it. Nikki was right the jazz club was fantastic, Helen was having a great time.
The walk back from the club was nice Nikki and Helen seemed to talk about everything Nikki learned that Helen's father was a lawyer also and Helen was a very big daddy girl molding her life after him. It was her father who wanted her to be a lawyer her mother wanted her to be an artist. Nikki informed Helen that her parents were dead dying two years apart and she had been more of a mama's girl. They finally reach Helen's apartment and she asked Nikki if she wants to come in Nikki said maybe another time because she knows she can't handle being close to Helen without touching her and Helen was not ready for that yet. Nikki helped Helen open the door and kissed her good night. First a soft and gentle kiss that began to heat up before Nikki pulled back. Helen's first reaction was to look around to see if anyone saw them. I don't think anyone was watching Helen Nikki said. Sorry, Helen said as she looked away. Can I see you again Helen. Ok, was Helen's reply. Nikki kissed her again and said good night and left. Helen was so upset with herself, she wonder what Nikki thought of her looking around the hall like she had done something wrong. Helen was sitting in her bed talking to the little devil and the angel on her shoulders. The little devil said yea, you were acting like the police were going to come at any minute and put you and Nikki in jail for kissing in the hall. The angel spoke Helen Nikki knew you had never kissed a woman before, she knew how nervous you were, she likes you she asked if she could see you again didn't she. With that said the angel won and Helen finally fell asleep. Helen dreamed about Claire she was screaming at her you are gay, do you know what people will say about you, you are different from everyone else now Helen. You can't be gay you have to fix this. Helen woke yelling I am not gay I am not gay Claire.

Today is was Yvonne and Caroline waiting for Nikki when she got to her desk. Von had told Caroline all about Nikki's date and the beautiful Helen Stewart Caroline did not sleep at all last night. How could this be happening, how did Nikki go from a blind date with a man to going out with some beautiful lawyer Caroline did not understand but she had to find out the answered and find a way to stop it. You two are really really bad can I at least have a cup of coffee before I have to deal with you prying into my personal life Nikki said to Yvonne and Caroline. Yvonne reached into a bag on the floor like this one Nik, she said with a laugh as she passed the coffee to Nikki.. At least you come prepared so what is it you want to know since you have paid in all Nikki said holding up the coffee with a smile. Before Yvonne could get a word in Caroline was firing questions at Nikki so fast she could barely understand her. Hey slow down Caroline what did you do stay up all night making a list Nikki asked not aware of just how right she had been. Helen gave Yvonne her best , a little help here, look and Yvonne told Caroline they had better get back and give Nikki a chance to get her day going. Von walked Caroline back to her department and doubled back to Nikki's office. Ok, Nikki what gives, what's going on with you and Caroline? You mean what's not going on Nikki answered. Caroline asked me out when I first got here we hung out a few times but I never gave her any reason to think it would be anything else. I started to pull away a couple of weeks ago because she was becoming possessive. If this morning was any indication it hasn't done much good. I promise you Yvonne I never slept with her, hell I never even kissed her. I believe you Nikki Caroline is a bit strange. Well why do you hang around her so much Nikki asked? Nik it's not me she is hanging around before you got here I did not even know Caroline's name. What was Nikki's only reply. She knew she had to break all ties with Caroline before someone got hurt. Helen did not fair as well when she got to work Claire was sitting in her office waiting to pounce. Why are you waiting for me in here like some stalker Helen asked Claire? Because someone has got to talk some since into you was Claire's reply. You can't be attracted to a woman Helen. Why Claire because if I were people would look at you differently? ready for her, she took the bottle of wine from Helen as she came through the door. Your apartment is great, Nikki it's bold. I told you it not as neat as yours. Nikki you are an artist I did not expect it to be. Nikki took Helen in her arms and kissed her hey, I'm glad you're here. I'm glad I'm here to Helen said with a smile. I hope you like salmon or we have a big problem. Nikki said as she led Helen to the kitchen. Dinner was lovely Nikki Helen said as she settled on the couch with a glass of wine. It feels so good to have someone cook for me hell to have someone want to cook for me. Thank you again Nikki. I have a confession to make I thought about you so much today I hardly got any work done. I'm glad Helen I would hate to be the only one Nikki said as she took a seat next to Helen. Nikki and Helen continued to tell each other about their child hood; things that shaped them into the people they are now.
Nikki grew up watching her parents work in jobs they did not like because they had to, she vowed only to work on projects she was passionate about only on jobs she loved and so far that's what she did. Helen was just the opposite Her father taught her to always have a plan, never take risk and always know what her next move was. That was why she's so cautious. James reminded Claire that he was still the senior partner in the firm and ordered her to sit down. You started this thing now it's Helen's turn to defend herself. I am dating a person, a wonderful person who happens to be a woman. And it bothers me to and it shouldn't but that's neither here nor there. Fine, but I don't have to like it and I don't have to continue being her friend Claire said as she left the office.
Yvonne, walked into Nikki office to find her deep in thought, so what's up mate love sick already. Nikki turned quickly to see if Caroline was with Yvonne. Sort of Yvonne I don't know what I am going to do when I got to work this morning there was four dozen long stem roses in my office. Four individual vases each with a card. The first said I, the second love, the third you, and the fourth Nikki.
At first I thought it was Helen being very sentimental because we made love for the first time last night, but then I recognize the hand writing and it wasn't Helen's it was Caroline's. So she did not sign them then. No, she was probably to embarrassed because they were delivered she didn't want to take the chance that someone would read the card, plus she knows I know her hand writing she has helped with several projects and we have talked about how different her hand writing is. This morning I went to get a cup of coffee and my friend Dominic asked me when he was going to meet Helen and I told him she was supposed to drop by sometime today and I would call him or drop by. I know she heard me, she doesn't know I saw her listening, but I did I think that's when she came up with this plan to make Helen think I'm cheating on her. Nikki just tell Helen the truth. What Yvonne? You heard me Nikki tell Helen the truth, that way she knows you are honest with her and you take away all of Caroline's power plus women love the whole get away from what's mine routine, trust me on this one Nikki. Alright Von, but you had better be right. Don't worry I will be here when Helen comes to back up your story just in case Caroline tries to gets away with something.
Helen decided to give Claire one last chance. She knocked on Claire's door can we talk Claire? About what was Claire's only words? About your feelings, about our friendship, was Helen's reply. If that's what you want to talk about there is nothing to discuss. Fine Claire, then you can just listen. Claire you are my friend I don't want to lose you. Now, I am not sorry I was honest with you. I want to be honest with everyone. I know deep down inside you are a loving person and that you love me and right now you are scared because I am doing something that is so alien to you, so distasteful to you that you can't get past that. I understand it confuses me to, but I need to go through what I need to go through and I am willing to give you all the time you need I just hope that you can forgive me for not being you. That's all. Claire never acknowledges Helen's presence so she finally leave Claire's office.
Helen's evening schedule was to crowded to go and meet Nikki's friends but she promised to still meet her for dinner. After what Nikki did for her last night she would do just about anything for her right now. Helen began to day dream her mind wondered back to last night. She still could not believe how
much her life had changed in such a short time. It had been almost three weeks since she had first meet Nikki. She should send Sean and Thomas gifts if they had been better dates she and Nikki might not be together now. No, there was no stopping them, if she was honest, she had been attracted to Nikki as soon as she saw her walked through the door. She could not take her eyes off her as she watched her walk to the table. Helen was so far gone she did not here the knock on the door Nikki was on her third knock before Barbara told Nikki to go on in. Nikki opened the door and gently closed it behind her as she saw Helen staring out the window. Nikki picked her angle carefully, target in sight Nikki kissed Helen softly on the neck. When Helen did not jump Nikki Got worried what if Helen had a lover at work, someone who kisses her neck all the time. Nikki had been in deep contemplation when Helen took out her cell phone to call Nikki. Helen spun around as Nikki cell phone rang to find Nikki sitting on her desk. Nikki what are you doing here? The question is how long have I been here and why didn't you know I was here and even better question if you did not know it was me why didn't you turn around to see who had just kissed your neck. The famous Wade Temper was about to be unleashed. Helen walked over to Nikki standing right between her legs and said my mind was full of day dreams about my night last night. You see I have a new lover and girlfriend she is amazing. I have had three meeting already today and I can't tell you what happened in any of them, but please don't tell my secret. Now that depends Nikki said to Helen. On what Helen played along? Just what do I get for protecting such a powerful secret. Nikki had chosen her words carefully. Helen looked at her watch 6:20 then back at Nikki what time are our reservations again 8:30 why? Lets go home Helen said. Sorry babe we don't have time, but is that a bathroom over there. Helen considered it for a fleeding moment before she told Nikki no she could not risk it at work.
Helen remember Nikki had not told her what she was doing there. They were suppose to meet at the restaurant. Nikki you still have not told me why I have this honor. Nikki looked at Helen her expression suddenly becoming serious Helen we need to talk. The hairs on Helen's arm stood up she knew she was not going to like this already. Nikki told Helen about Caroline she told her everything and promised her that she did not have any felling for her she had not known how Caroline felt until today when she received the flowers. At first I through they were from you for a job well done. Helen blushed and turned her head. That's when I noticed the handwriting and I knew who it belonged to. What kind of flowers did she send Nikki? Red roses why Helen? How many did she send? Four dozed in four different vases. And the cards where are they? Cards, Nikki was about to panic? Yes Nikki are the cards in your pocket? Babe why don't we call the restaurant and see if we can change our reservations and make them earlier? Nice try Nikki but you do realize you are dating a lawyer now, may I have the cards please. Nikki pulled out the cards and placed them it Helen's Hand. Do you have a picture of Caroline? Again Nikki complied she gave Helen the picture in her wallet of the last office party she pointed to Caroline. Helen was about to take Nikki Hand and led her to the bathroom when their was a quick knock on the door in walked Rosin collecting money for this weeks charity. Helen and Nikki denoted fifty dollars each since it was for the children's cancer fund. Rosin walked over to Nikki to thank her for the donation also to tell her how beautiful the flower were she sent last week. Helen had gone to give Barbara some documents that were ready to post when she came back in she found Rosin practically standing in Nikki's skin. Without thinking Helen asked baby are you ready and Nikki replied I don't know sweetheart I'm I. Oh, you lets go before I change my mind. Nikki walked up behind Helen close enough for her to feel the air on her ear what are my choses if you change your mind. Helen turned to face Nikki and simply said later I promised. Helen and Nikki completely forgot Rosin was still there. Good thing Nikki saw her out of the corner of her eye right as she decided to kiss Helen. Well Rosin it was good to meet you and good luck with your charity work. Rosin came over to shake Nikki hand, thanks you very much Nikki. Helen notice Ros held Nikki hand a little longer than necessary. Nikki noticed it as well. What they did knot know was Rosin had made a special trip up to Helen's office to meet Nikki. Ros was not at her desk when Nikki came in but the replacement receptionist filled her in as soon as she returned. Rosin had to meet the woman who had broken through Helen Stewart's defenses. Helen had more walls up then a fort.
After dinner Helen and Nikki were walking and Nikki said I have an idea, I want to go dancing I want to dance with you. Now, Helen asked her mind was already some place else she had not been able to concentrate on dinner because of it. Dancing, where would we go Nikki Helen asked again. You'll see follow me. Helen could not believe she was entering a gay bar, she had seen one once but she had never been inside one she had barely been to a regular club other than jazz outing. Come on I'll get you a drink you big baby. Nikki thought Helen was pouting for a totally different reason she wanted to go back to Nikki place since it was closer then her house at the moment and make love until morning. Helen I promise we won't stay long, I just want to dance with you. Helen and Nikki walked through the crowd Nikki was very much award of all the stares she and Helen were getting after all they do make a striking pair. And Helen was a truly stunning woman. Helen and Nikki finished their drink and made their way to the dance floor. Helen had not been prepare; her new lover was an excellent dancer they stayed about an hour and Nikki said lets go baby. Why baby is something wrong? No, but I love it when you call me baby you and I have another appointment and we can't be late. In that case we had better go Helen said making her way off the dance floor and toward the door without looking back. Nikki that was a lot of fun how did you find out about this place. A friend of mind took me dancing their one night. What kind of friend Nikki? Helen I had only been in town a little over two week when I met you. And we have been together since the first night we met Nikki now what kind of friend? It was Caroline she brought me to the club she said she looked it up on line. I had no reason not to believe her my straight friends go to bars with me all the time. So you spent a lot of time with Caroline the first two weeks and then you met me and you don't have time to hang out any more. I guess I never through of it that way, maybe I should apologize to her she did keep me company while I was waiting to meet you.
Finally they were home Nikki open the door and as soon as Helen step in she pushed her back against the door and kissed her passionately. Helen had been so horny all day her body was way ahead of her. She grabbed Nikki by the hair and pulled her even closer. Nikki I've waited for this all day. Yes, you have and you were a very good girl I have a very special treat for you tonight. Helen flipped Nikki so that her back was now against the door. Last night Nikki had done most of the work but tonight she wanted to return the favor. It was all she could think about all day she was going to taste Nikki Wade tonight. Nikki noticed the look of pure lust in Helen's eyes and just smiled. Ah newbies it happens every time. Helen was so busy taking Nikki's clothes off she did not even notice the look. Five, six minutes tops Helen had found her target and boy was Nikki surprise she did not think Helen was ready for this and especially like this. Helen was like a woman possessed, she wanted to make Nikki scream and so far she was doing a good job if she had to say so herself. She had caught Nikki totally off guard. Helen heard Nikki breathing turn heavy, Nikki grabbed both side of Helen's head Nikki was trying to be a big girl and hold on be Helen was a bad girl tonight Helen knew Nikki couldn't hold on much longer. Helen was trying to remember everything Nikki had done to her the night before to make her feel so good. So far she felt like a very good student someone who was about to get an A+ on their very first assignment. Nikki couldn't hold back any longer she gave Helen what she wanted oh Baby you gonna make me come was music to Helen's ears. Helen only wanted to make Nikki as happy as she had made her the night before. She had been so nervous last night that she was not sure if she had done right by Nikki, but she would make sure Nikki got hers first tonight. Helen took Nikki's hand come on baby lets go to bed.
The next morning Helen and Nikki were in the bathroom getting dress and Helen asked Nikki what she wanted to do tonight, Nikki told her that she had a lot of work to catch up on so she was going to stay at her own apartment and work tonight if that's ok with her. Helen got a very funny look on her face one that Nikki did not miss. Are you upset Helen. No, Nikki I know you need your space after all we are barely dating. Helen it's not that I don't need any space. We have spent a hold lot of time together in a short time I thing a little time apart is healthy. You are absolutely right Nikki I am just being needy. I'm sorry for being needy, I am never needy. Helen you are not being needy. Yes, I am if you could see inside me you'd know. All of Helen's insecurities were coming back. Nikki give Helen a kiss on the neck you are just being silly. Helen seems to ponder Nikki's statement and says you are right I am and walked out of the bathroom. Nikki got a chill when Helen walked out she knew something had just happened something bad, but neither one had time to sort it out this morning they had to get to work. After work Helen went to her house and Nikki to hers for the first time in eight days they spend the night away from each other. Helen was so angry with herself she had only known Nikki for a month and now she hated being without her. Helen knew she couldn't do that she had to get her life back the way it was before Nikki Wade. The next day after lunch there was a door on the door it was Claire. Claire if you have come here to tell me how much I have let you down, or how much I repulse you save it I'm not in the mood. Helen I didn't come here to say any of that I came here to apologize. Did I just hear you say you came to apologize. Yes, Helen I did. Well who put you up to it Claire my shrink. No, one put me up to this I just wanted to apologize for behaving so badly. I guess I was just afraid, afraid of losing you. Afraid that if you were gay well maybe I could be, or my husband could be I don't know it just brought up so much doubt. And then I realized that it doesn't change who you are. That's all I wanted to say. Claire started to walk out, Claire you know I would hug you but I don't want you to think I'm coming on to you. Nice Helen very nice Claire said smiling as she left.
Helen went over to Nikki's for dinner. I thought we would order in Helen is that ok with you? Would you like wine or a drink Helen said yes. Ok, wine it is and Nikki took the wine to the couch where Helen was siting. Are you alright Helen Nikki asked. No, I'm not we need to talk Nikki. Before Nikki could sit down she knew trouble was near. Ouch, the ugliest words in the English languish Just let me talk Nikki before I lose my nerve. I am crazy about you Nikki, but the funny thing is I don't know if it's love,or you or infatuation or the fact that it''s taboo that makes it even more stimulating. The fact of the matter is I don't think that I am the sort of person who can go through with this. What does that mean Helen? Well ah it means that it takes a stronger person then me to buck society. I don't think I can take it the judgments, the repulsions, the stares I feel like some sniper is going to come and shot me for being a lesbian and once again I'm not. It makes me feel so weak and spineless and I don't like that. And the funny thing is so much of this is good. But then there is the other part it's like I'm having two conversations all the time one with you and one with myself. I can barely cope with the one with myself I feel like it's enough to send me off the deep end and I'm uncomfortable. And it's not fair to you. That's a load of shit and you know it Helen. What you really mean is it's unfair to you, which is fine. Look I can be in this with you or I can not be in this with you. The truth is you might not be able to be with anyone ever. And that's what this is all about. It's not about being unfair to me. See now Nikki I wish I could really do this cause right now I really do like you. But can I be petty just for a minute or two so it doesn't matter to you whether you are with me or not is that what you are saying? No, that's not what I'm saying. Helen I'm gay, I am going to be gay today, tomorrow and the next day understand. Oh, I see so just how many women have you slept with? I don't know Helen I have been gay since I was fourteen a few. So is a few single digits? Nikki shook her head no. Helen's next question double digits under fifty? Again Nikki did not say yes she looked like she was trying to count. That's just great Nikki so what was I to you just another pretty face. No Helen you are the only one I ever really cared about. See now Nikki you sound like a guy. Sorry, just trying to be honest Helen. Why now, why didn't you tell me you were gay before. I didn't want to run you away I wanted you to get to know me the person before I became Nikki the lesbian do you understand Helen. I already had to deal with the whole coming out process so it makes thinks a lot easier for me. I'm sorry Nikki I have no right to be upset with you I am getting all possessive with you and I don't even have the balls to be gay or to be bi-sexual or even to be with you. Helen you are just scared, you are human you are allowed. Nikki I am a human nut case I see a psychiatrist three times a week. Why are you so abnormally normal? I'm just a free spirit I guess, I don't know I just don't let unnecessary things get me down. Come on you are a daring person after all you did kiss a girl. Yea, Nikki I did, but I just wish I could be another sort of person you know. I don't Helen I wish we could have seen where this would take us. I am crazy about you Helen and I don't like admitting that either. Are you sure we can't give us a try Helen. Nikki don't temp me, it's better this way before my heart gets completely broken. I would just fall apart sooner or later we both know it. Ok, Helen we will just be friends Nikki said as she took Helen's hand and they agree to go their separate ways. Yea just friends Nikki. I'm glad I met you Helen. I'm glad I met you too Nikki Wade. But since I was not planning on doing this speech until tomorrow what do you say we forget about it just for tonight. Now that's a good idea Ms. Stewart Nikki said as she took Helen's hand and off to the bedroom they went.

Nikki stopped suddenly. “Helen, I don't think we should do this. If I make love to you tonight, I am going to want to make love to you tomorrow night and the next night. You have make it clear that is not what you want. I would be setting myself up to get hurt. Perhaps it is better to end it here and now. “
“Of course, you are right, Nikki. It would be the right thing to do.” Helen said as she pushed Nikki into the bedroom until she fell across the bed. “I completely agree; we defiantly should not make love tonight.” Nikki watched Helen as she took off her clothes and joined her in bed. “I cannot think of a worst thing for us then making love again.” Helen continued as she unbuttoned Nikki shirt and pants. “We are in total agreement, Ms. Wade.”, as she pulled Nikki on top of her into a passionate kiss.
Nikki was totally breathless. “What the hell what could one more time hurt?”
“It's up to you, Nikki. After all, I would not want to force you into doing anything you are dead set against.” Helen said, taking Nikki's nipple into her mouth.
“Why do I get the feeling I am going to need your shrink's number after this?” Nikki laughed. “Well, Miss Stewart, if this is truly our last time together, lets make it a memorable one.”
Helen had no idea what Nikki could possibly mean by that. Their sex life was incredible, what more could there be? In the short time Helen and Nikki had been going out she had read books and watched several videos on lesbian love making, and from what she could tell Nikki was doing one hell of a job.
Helen's mind was racing, she did not want Nikki to get the upper hand but she was a little scared. She was not scared of Nikki, but herself. It had taken her two days to work up the nerve to break it off with Nikki. But in the end, she could not do it. Helen knew making love to Nikki tonight would not be the last time she just did not have the guts to admit it to herself, not right now. After all the hard part was over all she had to do was walk away. She never had to see Nikki again. How could she do that when this woman had become her every waking thought? She convinced herself making love to Nikki one last time would allow her to close this chapter of her life. It would be one last memory of their time together. After tonight, memories would be all they have, so why not go out with a bang.
Nikki, on the other hand, had other plans. She had given Helen a way out and she turned it down. She knew Helen did not want to end their relationship, that she was just scared. Nikki had been through this with many straight girls, she called it the coming out nightmare. Nikki knew the next move was totally hers; if she went through with her plan Helen would not be going anywhere soon. But, is that what she really wanted? Nikki thought back to the first night she met Helen. She had told Helen it was time she grew up and had a real relationship.
She had to admit Helen was great. She was beautiful, funny, intelligent and just a little crazy: all the traits Nikki loved in a partner. So, why the hesitation? Nikki was not sure if she could go through the straight girl thing again or even if she really wanted all the emotional drama that goes along with dating a straight girl.
Helen took Nikki’s hand, rubbing it across her cheek. “Are you OK, Nikki?”
As brown eyes met green, Nikki had her answer. She would do whatever necessary to make this woman hers.
Nikki gave Helen a playful kiss. “I am just fine babe…how would you like to play a game with me? But, before you answer, I need you to listen to the rules.”
“This game requires you to do what ever I tell you to without question. You can only say ‘Yes, Miss.’ Is that understood?”
Helen stared into Nikki's eyes; she saw a mischief there that intrigued her. She felt her body answer for her. “Yes, Miss.”
“Good. I was hoping you would say that. Now, I need you to turn around toward the head of the bed and close your eyes and do not open them until I say so.” Helen did as she was told.
Nikki jumped off the bed, first going to her closet, pulling out a small travel bag with wheels, and then dashing to the kitchen to the refrigerator. Nikki was pleased she found everything she was looking for. Nikki was surprised Helen was still lying in the same spot with her eyes closed. “Very good. Helen, you have passed the first test. Are you ready for the game to begin?”
“Yes, Miss.” Helen replied.
“Rule number two: at anytime during the game if you want me to stop I want you to say ‘clown’. You might have to say it more than once. You cannot say ‘stop’ or ‘no’; it has to be ‘clown’ do you understand?”
“Yes, Miss. I understand” was Helen's answer.
“Third and final rule: you have to trust me; any and everything I do tonight is strictly to bring you pleasure, but in order to do that you must give me complete control. Can you do that Helen?”
Several seconds went by before Nikki heard a very shaky voice say “Yes, Miss.”
Nikki opened her mobile toy chest and took out four pair of cuffs. “Do not be alarmed, Helen, I promise you will not be sorry.”
Helen took the deepest breath of her life, she had never purposely surrendered control to anyone; she was horrified and excited at the same time. Helen felt Nikki place something on her wrist then she heard the click immediately. She knew she was being handcuffed to the bed. She was about to yell “clown” when Nikki took Helen’s nipple in her mouth as she crossed over her to do the same to the other wrist.
Nikki's hands stroked their way down Helen's body until she got to the former prison governor’s ankles, placing restraints on both as she'd done with her wrist. Nikki sat back looking at Helen. “You are so beautiful, Helen, and tonight you belong to me. The thought of Nikki sitting between her legs staring at her naked body made Helen’s temperature rise.
Nikki took the feather she had taken out along with the handcuffs and began to stimulate Helen's body. She ran the feather over Helen's neck from one side to the other, her cheeks, and her eyes before going lower and touching the feather to her breast. Helen gasped as Nikki ran the feather over her nipple: first the right and then the left. Nikki ran the feather in circular motions all the way down the smooth skin of Helen's stomach until she reached her navel lightly dabbing the tip in and out of it.
Helen was trying to remain calm but her breathing was speeding up. Nikki removed the feather from her navel and replaced it with her tongue. Nikki let the feather run down the inside of her leg. Helen giggled as Nikki ran the feather over the bottom of her feet. “Does that tickle?”
“Yes, Miss.”
Nikki ran the feather gently up the other leg pausing slightly over Helen’s center. Nikki took the cup from the side of the bed placing an ice cube in her mouth she began the same routine she’d done with the feather! Helen jumped as the cold ice cube touched her nipple. Nikki used both the cold of the ice and the warmth of her hands to keep Helen’s body guessing. The ice cube was soon replaced with whipped cream in a very special place topped off with a strawberry. Nikki had made Helen her own person sundae.
As Nikki licked, bit and sucked her way all over Helen’s body Helen started yelling “Nikki please I cannot take it any more I need you. Please stop teasing me.” Nikki completely ignored Helen.
Helen was bucking out of control as Nikki licked up and down her upper thigh. “Nikki, please, please stop I can’t take it any more. Nikki gently blew on Helen’s center touching only the tip of her tongue to Helen and starting all over on the other thigh. “Wade, I am going to kill you when I get out of these things.”
Nikki continued her assault this time biting down slowly across her center and retreating. “Nikki, stop. I am not kidding let me out of these things. Shit, Nikki I want to feel you inside me now.”
Nikki was in worst shape than Helen. She wanted nothing more then to finish the job.
“Helen, say the damn word already. Stop fighting me and say the damn word.”
Helen’s mind was racing. “What word…oh shit, shit, shit…clown CLOwn CLOWN!”
