Helen's Shower
Nikki had been up all night cooking and getting the house ready for Helen's Wedding Shower, after all it was her duty as Maid of Honor to throw a great party. How do I always get myself into this shit? Nikki's mind took her back six years to the day she first meet Helen. It was her first day at her very first job as Head chief. Nikki remembered being so nervous when the owner told her a customer wanted to speak to her she thought she would be sick. Helen brought a very important client out for dinner and he totally loved his meal so much he signed on the dotted line without much effort from Helen. After he left Helen wanted to thank the person who had made her job so easy, and she had to admit she really enjoyed her meal as well. After that night, Helen and all her friends became regulars. Helen made sure of it she told everyone she met about Nikki. Soon everyone from her office was going to Yvonne's for business dinners as well.
One night after work, Helen stopped by the restaurant for a quick bite and was surprised to find Nikki sitting at the bar. What is a no hoper like you doing sitting here all alone? I finally convinced her to take the night off Yvonne yelled from behind the bar. She has not left this place since I hired her, I told her she is beginning to stink up the place. That is a good one Von as Helen playfully hit Nikki on the arm. So what do you have planed for your night off Nikki Yvonne asked as she passed a glass of wine to Helen? I think I will let someone else cook dinner for me tonight. Helen laughed me cook why do you think I come in here so much. Nikki simply replied to see me of course and that was the beginning of the Nikki and Helen story.
The doorbell brought Nikki back to reality. Nikki heard her younger brother James telling Trisha she was in the kitchen crying. I am not crying I am cooking Nikki yelled as she finished cutting up the onions. Dam Nikki you look like shit, have you been crying again? No, well maybe a little I am so stressed about the shower I have been up all night trying to make sure everything is perfect for today. Don't worry Nik I have plenty of concealer in my bag it will make you look five years younger. I do not need concealer Trisha I need a new life. Come on tell me why you are so stressed. Trisha I love Helen but she is a major control freak on top of the shower she asked me to be her maid of honor I can not believe she ask me. What is the problem Nik you guys use to be inseparable what happened? You know how friendships go you change they change life goes on and you go your separate ways. Sometimes it's for the best Nik you were roommates for four or five years I know how hard it can be living with someone unless you are having sex. Trisha did not notice Nikki's expression as she continued her thought. Sex does make it easier to get around all their annoying habits.
So Nik are you still seeing that guy you told me about. What guy Trisha? You know the one blond, green eyes, great ass what is his name again. For the life of her Nikki could not remembered the name she had make up she quickly scanned the room for help, her eyes landed on a bottle of Jordan wine sitting on the table. Jordan Nikki blurted out good of Jordan. Was that it anyway why haven't we met him let's call and invite him over, give me his number I will call him. Nikki had to think fast no Trisha he would not come it is much too girly for him no football involved. You did not say he was that type Nik. Wow dodged another one Nikki thought Trisha had no idea she had described Helen. She hated lying to her friend but when she and Helen first got together five years ago, she made her promise to keep their relationship a secret until she was ready to deal with it. Helen never quit make it out of the closet. Ten months ago at a party someone made a joke that she and Nikki fought like an old married couple and all of Helen paranoia started all over again. The next day at work the joke continued John asked so how's the wife Helen? That was all it took Helen went off the deep end. She was convinced Nikki had told someone. That was the beginning of the end. Helen moved out two months later.
Part 2
I cannot believe I said yes to Helen I must have been out of my mind. You are driving yourself crazy Nik and to be honest you are beginning to drive me a little crazy to; here have a drink you look like you need one. I just want this party to go off with out a hitch you know how demanding Helen can be. I really do not know why I am stressing myself out about this it really does not matter how perfect it is. She is going to find something I did wrong anyway. Who is coming to this little chin dig is Helen's mom coming? Yes, and her cousin Julie, Zandra, Crystal, Shaz, Denny, Monica, Thomas' mom and course Dominic. Great I cannot wait to meet Monica every ones says she is so nice. Hold that thought Nikki said as she dashed off to answer the phone. Yes, Yes, I did it all look I have to go I will see you in a little bit Nikki said as she hung up. Who was that Nik? Helen, Nikki replied. Helen, she knows about the shower? Yes, of course how else can she make the perfect entrance? She is going to pretend it is a surprise. You know she had to get her hair just right, her nails done, pick up a new dress and what ever else she has to do before she comes out in the day light. I think she is just using me because I have a nice house and I cook. Helen lied to me Nic I am hurt. Trisha promise me you won't tell her I told you she knew I know how you get promise me. Come on Trisha promise me and I will tell you a secret Nikki knew Trisha could not resist. Trisha looked like a little girl ok ok I promise what. You are going to love this and led Trisha back to the kitchen to show her where she hid the good wine. This is for Zandra, Crystal, Dom, Helen, me, you, all the good guys. This Nikki said pointing in the refrigerator to a couple boxes of wine is for everyone else she said laughing.
At that moment the doorbell rang, it was Dominic it was his job to pick up the wishing well. Where do you want this thing Nikki and could you please tell me what this well is for? It is a wishing well. Well all my wishes had better come true I nearly broke my back carrying it. So what do all the girls throw a penny in the well and make a wish I still do not get it? No, Trisha spoke up it is for little gifts you know the side gift, the gag gift, toys you know the kind. Oh, do they sale these I have to get myself one Dom said with a cheeky grin. You wish Nikki said as she gave Dom another big hug. Dom and Nikki had been friends since University they met at a gay club and have been friends every since. I am starving come on let me see what you have done Dom said as he walked toward the dinning room. Oh, Nikki this food is beautiful it looks to good to eat, but for all your hard work, I will make an exception. Do you think it looks good really; I am just so nervous I hate showers. All the pretending normally you hate the gift but you have to pretend to love it even if it is your fifth toaster, then you have to go and exchange half the stuff. On the other hand, it is a good way to get a lot of gifts. I hate it either way. Nikki what is really going on why do you have a hair up your ass what’s wrong? I will take this one Trisha said, she is a little mad right now she thinks Helen only asked her to be the maid of honor because she has the best house and she cooks. Hell yea Helen maybe a lot of things but she is not stupid as he continued to scan the table looking for what he would try first. See Dom agrees with me. Come on you guys look at it as a way to get pissed and have a laugh with all our friends. I love showers one day I am going to have one I am sure of it. I need to catch up with you what are you drinking Trisha. Come with me Dom do I have a glass of wine for you. As soon as they were out of ear shout Dom grabbed Trisha we have to do something about Nikki, we have to dress her look at her she looks like the chief-boy-are-dee-don't.
Dominic and Trisha took Nikki to her room to help her pick out something to wear. Dominic is totally disgusted with what he sees. Nikki I have to take you shopping at the mall the things in here are older then I am. I hate the mall you know that. I like garage sales. I can tell by looking at your closet. You make a shit load of money why don't you spend some of it on yourself instead of always walking around looking like a chief. I am a chief and I do spend money I just do not like malls. You spend money on your house, on your friends but never on yourself. You never use to look like this before Helen moved out now I am sure she was the one dressing you. Trisha did not know just how right she was. I had a reason to dress up then; Nikki caught herself as Trisha gave her a funny look. I mean Helen was always bringing her clients and work colleagues home I could not walk around looking like a chief all night now could I. Nice save Dominic thought to himself. Trisha you look I can't find anything Dominic said trying to distract Trisha before she could start on Nikki again after all he did feel a little responsible for starting Trisha down that path in the first place. Trisha went to the closet to try her luck. Who is coming today Dom asked Nikki. Shaz, Denny, Barbara, Thomas' mom Monica and his sister Spring Dawn Nikki recited. Did you say Spring Dawn what the hell kind of name is that? Yep, it use to be Shell but she changed it to Spring Dawn when she became a porn star. Hey, Nik is Karen coming. Oh, shit I forgot about her I am sure she will be the first one you know she will have to snoop and try to find something wrong so she can report it to Helen as soon as she walks through the door. Dom said I am glad she is coming its always funny watching the two of you go at it. You know she will show up with the perfect gift, wrapped perfectly with a silk bow to match Helen's dress. Wow, we are really hating Karen today aren't we? She is always trying to out do everybody, especially me, especially when Helen is around.
Hey what do you think of this Trisha turned around with the sexiest dress Dominic had ever seen. Yes, definitely that is the one it's beautiful. They were both so excited neither notices the look on Nikki's face it was the last thing Helen brought her before she left. Nikki where did you get this and why have I never seen you in it Dom asked? Nikki heard the doorbell and used it as an excuse to get out of the room shouting back at her friends you have to help me today I am a wreck and with that, she headed down stairs to greet her guest. Nikki you have to get dressed let James get the door, both Dom and Trisha shouted trying to catch Nikki. Nikki was in such a hurry to get out of the room she did not heed her own warning and came face to face with Karen. Nikki opened the door allowing Karen to come in with her perfectly wrapped gift with the light blue bow. Trisha greeted Karen with a kiss, Dom said that gift-wraps looks just like a Martha Stewart knock off but in a good way, great job as always Karen. Karen just glared toward Dom as she made her way over to drop her other gift into the wishing well. Would you like a glass of wine Karen Nikki asked oh I would love some please tell me you are not wearing that today of all days are you Nikki. Why Karen are you today's wardrobe monitor. Dom and Trisha came to Nikki's defense. Give her a break Karen she has been working all morning she was just waiting until everything was done to change. Dom why are you here did Nikki hire you as the waitress. No the bouncer and you are looking more and more like a rubber ball. Nikki returned with the wine for Karen she turned to Dominic I am going to kill her before the day is over I just know it. Don't worry I will help you.
Part 3
You go get changed Nikki we will keep Madam Company. As soon as Nikki hit the stairs, Karen began to make her rounds. Karen stopped in the dinning room I have to change the tablecloth she said to Dom and Trisha as she pulled a full size designer tablecloth out of her bag. You just had a hunch I suppose Dom asked Karen. Well yes, I did; we all know what Nikki's taste is like I knew the tablecloth would be too bland for this kind of event. Well don't just stand there help me change this Karen told Trisha and Dominic. Not wanting Nikki to hear they quickly complied hoping that she would not notice the different cloth on the table if that put the food back as she had arranged it. Much better Karen said as Trisha nodded her agreement and Dom looked on in shock. They finished just in time as Nikki entered the dinning room looking stunning just as Trisha and Dom had thought the dress was lovely on Nikki. Nikki came in modeling the dress looking over at her friends. Wow, momma Said Dom, you look fabulous Nik Trisha threw in for good major. Nikki was all smiles until she looked at her table who changed my tablecloth, both Dom and Trisha motioned to Karen. Why did you change my tablecloth Karen? It was bland it did not match the occasion Nikki. Just as Nikki temper was about to spill over the doorbell rang once again saving Karen for the time being. Nikki went to get the door. It was Barbara Helen's Mother. Barbara had become like a mother to Nikki, as well, she was very pleased to see her.
Barbara and Julie, Helen's cousin, made their way into the dinning room to greet everyone else. Oh my God look at all the food you are really going to make me fat Nikki this is wonderful. Helen will be so pleased. Nikki is a great cook Julie you have to try everything Barbara said as she started to nibble her way around the table. Thank you I will Aunt Barbara. I have heard so much about you from Aunt Barbara and Helen I feel like I already know you. Helen is always saying how Nikki did this or Nikki does take I feel like you are part of the family. She is Barbara said turning to smile at Nikki. Nikki introduced Julie to everyone as Barbara began to brag on Helen and Thomas. Helen and Thomas make the perfect couple am I right Nikki? I have to go check my dishes in the kitchen I do not want anything to burn. Nikki was gone so long Trisha went to look for her. She finally knocked on the upstairs bathroom door and Nikki answered. I have been looking everywhere for you let me in. Trisha was very surprised when James answered the door and Nikki was over the bowl being sick. Nikki what is going on are you all right. I am just a little sick I’m ok I will be down in a minutes I told you earlier it's just nerves. Trisha looked over at James she's ok every since she was a kid she hated people looking at her when she was sick its ok I am here with her. Karen heard the voices and of course, she went too investigate. She stood outside of the bathroom door eavesdropping just as James made a joke that Nikki was not sick she was just making room for lunch. Karen slipped back downstairs before anyone noticed her outside the door waiting to spread her latest rumor about Nikki's eating disorder.
Nikki was beginning to feel better Trisha decided to stay with James in case Nikki needed anything. James what are you going to do at the shower? I don't know I will find something to do. No, James just for today please just stay out of the way. Nikki loved her brother and he got on well with Helen but he was a little off key sometimes he was too hard for even her to take. James is a musician. He has his own rock band he writes most of the songs they perform. The doorbell rang again this time it was Crystal. A good friend of Helen she was the resident psychologist of the bunch. Right behind Crystal was Spring Dawn Dom and Trisha fought to open the door neither could wait to meet this woman. Nikki took the present from Spring Dawn and almost dropped it. What is it a bowling ball Nikki joked? Wow, is it that obvious Spring asked? I was only Kidding Helen does not bowl all of her friends agreed. Well she could have fooled us she goes with us every Tuesday night its league night. Helen is the only one without her own ball. Thomas thought it would be the perfect gift it matches his perfectly. The next to show up was Zandra. Zandra has had a pretty ruff year she lost her baby girl a month after she was born, she has been trying to get pregnant again every since. Everyone is trying to support her but Zandra won't talk about anything else. She carries around photos of her dead baby and shows them to who ever will sit still long enough to look at them. All Zandra's friends feel awful for her but they are at their patience level with her. She even stole all of her boyfriend Bobby's underwear because they were briefs not boxer and brought them to the shower so he could not wear them. She said he was strangling his testicular so he can't get her pregnant. Nikki tried everything she knew to calm Zandra down finally she gave her a bottle of wine and told her to drink it to stimulate her ovaries.
Part 4
Karen was up to her old tricks again she loved making Nikki upset. Karen waited until Nikki was in perfect position to see her and opened the stove to take out the trays Nikki was cooking. Nikki ran over to her what are you doing Karen? I’m find I don’t need any help please just go in and have a good time. Karen decided to make a seen so that she would have a witness when she told Helen that Nikki would not accept her help because she was jealous of their friendship. After all Nikki use to be Helen's best friend but Karen firmly believes that was her job now. Why do you hate me so much Nikki Karen asked very loudly? That's funny coming from you Karen I thought it was the other way around. Crystal came between them telling them to calm down this was Helen's shower and neither of them wanted to ruin it for her they had to get along for the day. Nikki spoke first I will try but four hours is my max everyone waited for Karen's reply ok four hours but that's it. Dom came running in she's here he had been the look out he finally spotted their car pulling up. Everyone took their positions to yell out surprise. Trisha was still very upset that Helen knew about the shower and lied about it, but she had her camera ready to capture the big entrance. Helen came through the door with a total look of shock on her face and fooled everyone. She looked beautiful in her light blue dress and matching jewelry.
Karen grabbed her present and shoved it toward Helen. Wow another amazing wrap by Karen Helen said as she took the very large box. Nikki thought she was going to die as she watched Thomas and Helen profess their love and seal it with a very long kiss right in front of her. Karen went into total flirtation mode so Thomas Helen gets to have you all to herself for the rest of her life why don't you stay and have a glass of wine with us girls as she grabbed Thomas by the arm squeezing his muscles. Maybe just one if it's ok with you honey? Ok, but just one Helen gave a nod and Karen lead Thomas to the couch and order Nikki to bring Thomas a glass of wine and added Helen needs one to. Everyone knew what Nikki's temper was like so they began to scatter, but to everybody surprise Nikki simply said coming right up. Helen said I'll help you as she spotted Dom and Trisha she wanted to be close to her real friends. It had been a very long ten months for Helen. She had chosen a new live but she still missed her old one a lot. Truth is she missed Nikki more than she ever thought she could miss anyone. Where did you hide the good wine same place Nikki I need a drink? Come on we'll all have one Dom said as he put her down from the huge hug he just gave her. Trisha, Dom, Helen and Nikki head to the kitchen like old times to have a drink. Heres to the three greatest inventions in life wine, garlic and sex Nikki said. Sex what's sex? it’s been nine months I’m climbing the walls. Thanks for reminding me Nik Trisha said with a laugh. That's the great thing about being in a study relationship if you want sex it's there and if not you roll over. You sound just like a man Helen Nikki said giving her the evil eye. Everyone stood around laughing enjoying the company. Helen was enjoying herself so much she realized just how lonely she had been and how much she missed hanging out with these guys and Nikki of course. Trisha made a toast heres to Helen and Thomas as everyone clicked their glasses Nikki turned away and pretended to get something out of the refrigerator an act Helen did not miss. Cheers Nikki Helen said anyway. Nikki did not answer. Nikki saw Karen felling Thomas up so she pretended to trip spilling wine all over Thomas. I am so sorry Thomas. No problem Nikki it's time for me to go anyway. Tell Helen I will pick her up in a couple of hours. Nikki turned to Karen what was that all about did you think you were going to get a pre-wedding screw Karen you are so sad.
Helen made her rounds saying hello to all her guest she asked where's Shaz Nikki. She called she is running late she and Denny had a fight you know how that goes. I really miss her I never see her anymore she is so consumed with that relationship. She doesn’t go any where with out Denny. Crystal answered Helen its call codependency. Well I like codependent relationships Nikki said that means you are never lonely. Everyone gathered around Helen in the living room as they continued the conversation. We need to find a nice boy for Julie Barbara chimed in. No Aunt Barbara I'm to shy. That's ok men like that believe me every woman needs a man. Look at Helen she waited and found the right guy she was always shy. Really, asked Julie? Yea, Helen did not have a real boyfriend for years then she met Thomas and she knew right away. Don’t you worry Julie your husband is out there somewhere waiting for you Barbara continued. You really think so Aunt Barbara Julie asked? Look you can't change destiny what ever is meant to be will be. I don't believe that actually mom I think you can change destiny if you try hard enough you can. I have to believe that or I broke up my family for nothing Helen had a very sad thought. What's wrong with you Helen? Nothing, so when do I get to open my presents Helen asked as Barbara gave Nikki a questioning look.
Part 5
Everyone looked toward the door as they hear a very loud argument coming from outside, in walked Shaz and Denny going at it as usual. So that's it just walk away you can't handle it right Denny shouted at Shaz. I just can't understand why you are making such a big deal about this Denny. Because it is, a big deal Shaz and I want to finish it one way or the other. Shaz turned to face everyone I'm sorry I'm late but we got hung up. Barbara was shocked Denny is a girl she said out loud without thinking. Denny was so mad she shouted back at Barbara what the fuck does that mean. Helen was losing her temper I can't believe this. Don't worry Helen I will be up stairs painting I won't spoil your little party. Shaz why don’t you come and find me when you make up your mind what you really want and Denny stormed off. Shaz this is embarrassing this is my shower I just wanted it to be perfect. Nikki said she could come and paint in the studio I could not leave her home like this we had to finish this fight. Everyone turn to look at Nikki. I don't see what the big deal is she is going to be upstairs in the studio painting all day. Barbara asked Shaz what is so urgent you had to bring it to Helen's shower? We are in a crises Denny wants to be exclusive and I don't know if I am ready for that. This is a crises Shaz Helen asked this couldn't wait until later I don't even know why you came. Helen I am here because I want to be here I am sorry this just happens to be going on in my life right now but I don't need this shit from you too. I don't believe this. Don’t worry honey I hear those Lesbians are just like that you know fighting all the time that whole macho thing. Nikki looked at Helen and walked away going to find their friend Shaz to make sure she was ok. Shaz do you love her? Yea, I do I mean I think I do I don't know any more Nikki I don't know. Maybe you are just scared Shaz. I'm not scared I just don't like to feel smothered I want to be free. Shaz you are the most jealous person I know, every one of you relationships have broken up because of it how are you going to deal with your girlfriend seeing other people. I'm not what are you talking about Nikki. You just told me you want to have an open relationship. Yea me not them. Oh, I see you are crazier then I thought if you think Denny is going to go along with that. Why wouldn't she? She doesn't want to date anyone else. Now I'm scared that actually made a little sense when you said it. Helen entered the room I'm sorry Shaz, will you forgive me I'm so sorry I guess I'm just jealous Helen said as she hugged Shaz. I miss you so much Helen was staring directly in Nikki's eyes. I'm sorry for being late Helen but I did not know what else to do. Nikki broke eye contact with Helen looking away Helen simply closed her eyes to hold back the tears. I know Shaz Thomas and I hate leaving fights unfinished.
All forgiven every one went back to the living room shouting wedding questions at Helen. So where are you going on your honeymoon Helen. Italy, wow Nikki you are Italian aren't you? Yes, half-and-half French Nikki answered. A lethal combination Trisha chimed in everyone laughed. Have you ever been to Italy Nikki? No, we were suppose to go but we never made it Nikki said as she caught the apologetic look on Helen's face. Thomas has wanted to go there since he was a little boy Spring Dawn added. Helen you are only one week away from becoming Mrs. Waugh I can't believe it Crystal said. I can't forget the day you meet him Helen you called me up and said I just met my husband Trisha added. Yea, I did didn’t I. I said that's great Helen can I be in the bridal party? Thomas is such a catch he's good looking, he's a doctor and he's got money what else could a girl want Barbara asked. I am going to have the most gorgeous grand children. Nikki was getting a headache she didn't know how much more of this she could take. She was really regretting her decision to try to brave this out she knew next week would be twice as hard but she had given Helen her word she would be her maid of honor. Nikki felt Helen had only asked her because she wanted Nikki to have closer to realize it was really over between them. Nikki did not know how wrong she was. Helen knew if she could say her vows looking into Nikki eyes she really did have a chance at being happy with Thomas maybe she was over Nikki even though her hearts told her everyday that she wasn't. Deep down Helen was praying Nikki would stop her she dreamed Nikki would pull her away and tell her what a mistake she was making, that they belonged together. Her dream always went the same way Nikki would object in front of everyone and say she can't marry you Thomas because she's in love with me and only me. Then Nikki would take her in her arms and tell her all is forgiven the only thing that matters is here and now, you and me, us. She wanted Nikki to forgive her and take her back so badly, but she knew how much she had hurt her when she walked away she was just too afraid of rejection to try. Helen was brought back to reality by Spring Dawn calling her name. You are so lucky Helen I hope I find someone like Thomas. I know I really lucked out he's one in a million. I hope I find anybody Karen said, someone to make cards for, someone to hold me at night, someone to wrap gifts for me. You are going to be a beautiful bride; it's like being princess for the day. Thomas spoils her so much she is a princess everyday Barbara throw in. Helen he can't be that perfect tell us about the fights. There aren't a lot he’s easy. Alright, Thomas is a little upset with me right now because he says I am a control freak and I avoid intimacy by talking on the phone for hours and watching TV. That is how you are in a relationship Helen. What are you talking about Nikki? That's how you were when we were together, oh come on tell me nobody here knew. It's alright Helen its history you're ok now you're normal you are getting married. Thomas is the best thing since sliced bread and you nailed him. Shaz laughed aloud as the rest of the room looked on completely shocked. What is she talking about Helen staring first at Helen then at Nikki? It's nothing mom I was going to tell you. So it's true? Wait a minute Trisha said holding up her hand you two were in a relationship, I mean a real relationship. Helen shook her head no, as Nikki said yea like holding hand, kissing, making love the whole nine yards. Spring yelled out does my brother know about this Helen have you told him. No, Dawn I haven’t told him yet. You can’t do this you were just going to marry him and not tell him that is indecent. oh and what you do is decent Spring Dawn? That's not fair and you know it Helen what I do is acting it's a job at least I don't lie about it. I can't believe you would do this to me Nikki not in front of my mother. I can't believe what you did to me, I can't lie anymore Helen. That said Nikki stood up and shouted Helen and I were lover for five years. The room went crazy each staring at the other in disbelieve. Why did you make me your maid of honor Helen did you want to stick the knife in and rip my heart out a little more. Nikki, can we please go somewhere and talk about this please. Sure Helen somewhere quite like a closet so no one can see or hear us.
Nikki come on you are not being fair. Helen, Helen I want to talk to you Barbara yelled taking hold of Helen's arm pulling her into the dinning room. Everyone moved closer to make sure that could hear everything. Nikki stormed off and did not look back. In a second mom, I need to talk to her. No Helen I need to talk to you now.

Helen why didn't you tell me you had a problem I could have helped you. What kind of problem mom I did not have a problem. How can you say that Helen obviously there was something wrong with you, I don't know maybe it's a chemical imbalance I don't know but if you would have come to me I could have helped you. I can't believe what I am hearing, mom you are so screwed up. Me Helen I am not the one sleeping with women. Mom I was not sleeping with women I was in love with Nikki why can't you understand that? Helen knew she could not avoid Karen forever but she tried. But finally she cornered her in the kitchen and the water work began. I am really hurt Helen, I mean is Nikki better then me. To Barbara's surprise, Monica was not shocked or upset by the news at all. It did not alter her felling for Helen in the least. She said the only thing that matter was she was with Thomas now. James was in the bathroom upstairs when he noticed a pregnancy test in the garbage. He slowly walked downstairs is pink positive or negative. Everyone yelled positive. Then somebody killed the bunny. Spring Dawn it ain't me, Thank God came from Monica, her mother. All eyes fell on Nikki, Helen turned to Nikki. Nikki are you pregnant? Yea, I am Nikki said with a big smile on her face. Were you inseminated? No, I actually slept with this guy a couple of months ago, I was curious I wanted to see what you left me for. I have to tell you babe I still don't get it. I cannot believe you Nikki. I did not plan it this way but I am keeping my baby. Zandra was not coping well with the news a Lesbian can get pregnant and I can't. As soon as Thomas left, everyone went to work yelling it show time. Everybody grabbed a hand full of flowers and went to the back yard where Nikki had gone to be alone she did not have a clue what had happen with Thomas and Helen. Nikki finally sensed someone around her. Startled Nikki looked up Helen what’s going on? Surrounded by all of their friends Nikki walked over to Helen what is going on? Nikki bear with me I have never done this before and that said Helen bent down on one knee. Nikki my one and only true love, will you marry me, have someone else's baby with me, be my best friend and my soul mate until the end of time? Nikki pulled Helen up I can't believe you did this in front of all these people.
Believe it I want to be true to myself and I am so proud of us. So Nikki will you marry me. You bet your sweet ass I will. Everyone let out cheers of joy as they went to hug Helen and Nikki. Helen pulled Nikki in to the most passionate kiss of her life, she was finally able to breath again. Nikki, Helen and Baby make Three.
