I am a tad bit excited as I just ripped and burned BG S1Ep1 to my iPod!!!! Now I can "watch" Helen and Nikki at work. Shhhh!!!

No doubt I am late to this party and others have already done this. That being the case, I have a few questions to ask regarding methods. I used CloneDVDMobile to do this and sadly it plays the entire ep and I can't jump to scene. Have you used another method so this is possible? If so, would you share your software and any suggestions?

Being able to burn my R2 disks to my iPod is killer because then I can just hook it up to a friend's tv and don't have to worry about them having a R2 player. Yeah!

Watching S1Ep2 now. :-) Love working and watching <g>.

So far I have ripped up to S3Ep13. I L-O-V-E being able to take my BG on the road with me. Had it on today at work when a bud came by to share with me the latest Dr Who from the UK. He saw my BG and then had me help him order an iPod video and hook him up with the software so he could convert his dvds, too.

BTW, he is going to borrow my BG dvds next week so we'll see if I can convert him too. LOL

But, when I watch an episode on my ipod, it's possible to make a fast << or >> (recul ou avance rapide)

I have a video ipod since 4 months and at the beginning I put just BG video clips. Now I have put the 2 first series.

I have bought the DVD series, but as I didn't know how to ripp it, I have loaded the episodes thanks to bittorent.
(Now I know that you can use "ripp it after me" (www.ripp-it.com) to ripp DVD).

Once you have the ripped or loaded episode, you can use "WinAVIvideo converter"
http://www.winavi.com. Its' very easy to use and allow you to advance quickly.

OK, I hope you understand what I'm saying (because first I am french and after I'm not good in computer technology) !

Thanks Angie. I checked out ripp-it, but don't know French enough to figure out the page. LOL Forgive me. I appreciate the help and did click around a bit to see if there was an English version of the page for the French-impaired (me). Downloading Winavi now and will give it a try.

i'm planning to buy an iPod video soon, i'm just waiting for the sept 12 Apple announcement, hoping they'll release a 6th generation soon.
ideally i would just want the H&N scenes + music clips on my iPod but i only know how to rip the dvds, not how to edit them. the Larkhall Projector Room has all the H&N scenes available for download but they're in a .rm format (real media) and i can't find any conversion software to convert .rm to either .avi or .mp4

Lis...I have been searching and have found a few programs but have yet to try any. They claim to be able to convert many formats including .rm.

BTW, I am trying WinAvi now on the avi Wire in the Blood file which I "acquired" recently. Will see how that works once it is converted and on my iPod.

Also, I had been waiting and waiting as there was always going to be another iPod release. Finally gave in in the beginning of the year. :-)

I tried to convert the Larkhall projector room files (.rm format) in MP4 video format. It's OK, no problem with the conversion (with WinAVI).
This is the procedure :
-1 clic on the second icon from the left ("batch media file convert")
-2 select "add files"
-3 choice "any to ipod"
-4 selet the file you want convert (select the format file "any file(*.*) : I don't know why it's a failure for me with another format)
-5 select the directory in witch you want to put the converted file
-6 clic on "OK"
- 7 clic on "convert"

You can convert several files in the same time (and you have to do again the step 2 from 6) and at least you clic on "convert".

I hope that my explanations are clear enough. But it's easy (if I can do it, everybody can !).

Tasha Yar, "ripp it" is a french software but you can choice the language (french, english or spanish). But, you could probably find a similar software in english.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I'll try it out. I have successfully converted my Bad Girls .avi files to mp4 files so I can play them on my ipod and I have a a/v cord to hook up my ipod to my tv so I can watch Bad Girls on my tv now. The thing I'm trying to do now is just get the Helen and Nikki scenes edited together using my .avi files, later converting them to play on my ipod. Does anyone know how to do this? Or what software I can use to do this?

Yeah there are a few programs you can get to convert flv files.

But most of the good ones cost, unless you know someone who can get you codes to get them free online.

The program i use is called flv to avi,mpeg,wmv,3pg,mp4 ipod converter.

Thanks for replying aussiebadgirl, but what I meant to say was that I have Series 1-3 on .avi files and I want to somehow edit them so I just have the Nikki and Helen bits! Does anyone know how I could go about doing this? Sorry for my confusing previous post.

well there are several programs you can use to edit for the just the helen and nikki parts - i actually did it myself - series 1-3 overviews stay on the pod at all times!

i use a program called tmpgenc - and basically i worked my way through each ep - grabbed the things i wanted and then merged all the parts together and eventually converted to ipod format.
