Mandana played Dr Mary Holland in a BBC series called POWERS that appeared on the ABC channel in Australia earlier this year.

I've managed to get some screen captures.

Wow, thanks a lot of posting these. I love the long hair on her! :D

I love the long hair too, which I did NOT expect, because I thought she looked absolutely spectacular with short hair on BG. Her character was much softer on Powers, and it made me realize what a stretch it was for her to play a character as aggressive and assertive as Nikki, because her default is more of a kind warmth. Which of course underlied Nikki's character as well, which is part of what has made us all like Nikki so much.

This was an unexpected but most welcome MJ fix for me, thanks! Strange to see her with longish hair, but it suits her too, but then again I suspect almost anything would. She looks a little bit like Audrey Tautou in the last caps.

How many episodes was she in?

She was one of the four main characters, so she was in every episode. I think there were 12? I've seen the first 8--it's not a bad show, actually, although it's definitely targeted for kids/tweens. Very earnest.

I agree Abzug. I didn't expect that i would like her with long hair, but it suits her.

Although i do find her more attractive as Nikki, but that is mostlikely because i don't know the character she's playing in Powers.

I agree, very strange to see her with long hair. She is also gorgeous but I prefer her with short hair.

There's one shot there with her hair up where she almost looks a bit like Sandra Bullock. My favourite scenes are from the Future Box episode where she's wearing that black shirt and pants and the long tan coat.

The show was aired during the 'ABC Kids' time slot. Those two episodes are the only ones I've seen but I'm hoping they will run some repeats.

She suits her hair tied up like that, and down lol Mandana looks great!

I'll differ from everyone here, I'll say Mandana looks nice long hair, but it makes her look like anybody.

She stands out with shorter hair, not because it makes her look gay, but because she looks striking with shorter hair, and I don't mean the ridiculous cut of season 1 in bad girls, I mean something like late season 2 and season 3 as well as in many on her out and about photos with Simone for press where she is herself with short hair.

Besides, in short hair she looks more creative, full of a younger wilder energy, like more of an artist, a musician, a someone.

I thought Mandana's hairdo looked very nice in certain episodes of S1. In particular the scene in the library with Helen, Ep9 - Mandana' s hair style was very attractive indeed.
