PTGN Red Faction Rules

Please take the time to peruse the in game rules for the SwiftGames Red Faction Server.

Server Rule Breaches

Game Administrators may carry out the following punishments on a breach of the rules: Admin killed, forcibly kicked, temporally banned or permanently banned.

Language and Conduct

Offensive name calling, racist, derogatory and foul language will not be tolerated. Please remember there are people of all age groups playing (young and old) who wish not to hear foul language. Swearing and racial remarks are unwelcome and will get you removed from the server.

Spawn Camping/Killing

Players can and do get killed at spawn, this is only fair if the players are not "waiting" on the players to spawn. While this is a hard rule to clearly address, I will leave it up to the best Judgment of the Admins to make the appropriate ruling. If you get killed as you spawn by someone on the run, it's simply part of the game. Please remember the objective of the game.

Excessive Use Of Rockets

Players are discouraged from the excessive use of the Rocket Launcher for two main reasons.

1. The adverse effect it has on game performance.
2. It is annoying and impacts on those trying to play the game competetively.

Game Admins are entitled to kick you from the server after sufficient warning against excessive use of rockets. Basically, if all you want to do is blow stuff up - make your own server and blow that up.

Cheating/Exploiting

Anyone caught cheating or Hacking will be removed and banned from the server. Cheating is for losers. Modders will be removed from the server.

Pings

Pings over 450 may be removed if this is causing server performance issues.

Team Stacking

Please try and keep the teams balanced. Joining a team that already has more players defeats the purpose of fair play.

Camping

While camping can prove to be a useful strategy, excessive camping that doesn't contribute to the teams objective may be deemed inappropriate.

Amp / Hmg etc

The Swiftel server runs unmodified. All weapons and powerups are available and usable. This includes the HMG, Damage Amplifier and Invulnerability (should it be included - rare). Complaining about someone using these is pointless - if you don't like someone using them - stop them by shooting them before they can get them!

Actually Justice, if you're on Cable, you have a static IP address.

And if he does have dial-up/DSL, where he renews his IP by restarting his modem, this is one dumb ****** if he posts about being banned here.
