Well, a friend has got a virus on his pc and wants me to get rid of it. Seeing as a look after my pc very well and never having to deal with them i don't really have any experience in dealing with them. Whenever i have something go wrong i just format. So can someone please give me some advice in clearing a virus. Software and tools to do the job would be great ;)

Dont get many virus's and when l do l just re-ghost my C-drive.
There's a few virus scanners around like Spybot, Stinger3, but l'm no expert, l cant even tell when a bots posting. <_<

Spybot isnt a virus scanner, Stinger isnt a virus scanner either, it just picks up on about 20 of them... so like... not too good....
As for virus removal..
ONLINE virus scanner
Google it "Online Virus Scanner" there are a few good ones, but basically you want it to detect the virus, once you get the virus name, google that and see if there are instructions on how to remove it.
Give that a shot

I got a virus not too long ago n AVG Free managed to fix it up pretty much, 1st virus id had in years
