Filey is half way between brid (north of) and scab (south of) whilst whitby is 20 miles further north of scab. ;)

davy - November 5, 2004 11:14 PM (GMT)
gutted that Whitby is the pre-season do I thought it was the easter bash better weather and ride through -helmbsy? to laught at the born again greaser's on their R1's  as for the MODROPHENIACS do I'll be at that one albeit not riding there on a scoot. As for Helmbsy we stoped there the other year for a lunch break loads of bikes parked up on the main square the amount of snide looks and comments we got was unreal :wank: the lot of them

Guest:Rocket - December 29, 2004 09:44 PM (GMT)
did i hear someone say they've booked iow ,b&b already,im planning on
doing iow and mersa, do i have to book b&b already?if thats the case i better get my arse in gear!

Disco Dave - December 29, 2004 10:16 PM (GMT)
You won't get a b+b at mersea just a log cabin or camping, Oh and i rode solo from crawley to Bridlington took a slight detor total of 310 miles one way got company on part of the return journey. there and back no hickups unlike woolacoombe.

Guest:Trifle - December 29, 2004 10:50 PM (GMT)
Do people actually stay in those log cabins at Mersea?
I tried to climb through the window of an empty one but got scared that there might be spiders in there, and it was weeelly dark n stuff.

Rocket.... most people book up IOW a year in advance, as they leave the rally.

One of your best bets is the all inclusive chalet type settlements they have. They're not the Ritz, but hey, it's a scooter rally, it's compulsory to go out feeling a bit grubby.
Cabs are pretty cheap anyway, so it don't matter too much if you're not in Ryde.

Let me know if you want some names (not like Dave or Angela, I mean, like names of the chalet parks).

I'd love to Trif, but it ain't going to happen.

Guest:Trifle - December 30, 2004 04:54 PM (GMT)
Oh yes it is!

Right, I'm putting a fiver into FB's Holiday in Holland fund.
It's my thank you for allowing me the privilege of reading/posting on this site on a nigh on daily basis.

(I know a fiver aint much, but Christmas has wiped me out and I don't earn that much anyway, and I have a mortgage and a young child....and.....there are a lot of members on here .... ).

Come on you lot! Put yer little hands in yer long pockets.....

:point:
