I know someone who can make these from Delrin for about £20 a set. If lots of people want them, i can get them cheaper .

From what ive been told by a couple of mechanical engineer types (cos i aint no expert myself), Delrin is the best cheaper alternative to brass. It has very similar properties to brass, but is alot cheaper. They tell me that nylon is too soft and PTFE is too brittle so prone to cracking over time.
I only enquired cos a couple of mates asked if i knew somone who could make these, n this is cost price (2 me) for single sets. So no money making excercise on my part. I think (cos it was a while back when i asked), the price comes down to around £15 for more than 20 sets in one go.Would have to check to be certain :)
