ScootRS in 'complaint about forum' shocker.
If memory serves right, he posted on here to complain about something that was said about a product he supplied. Further... he was faced with the evidence and never came back.
In fairness though, one thing you can't blame him for is shit bodgeration scooters out of Nam.... that one is not something he's responsible for.

I've used SootRS a few times now. I must admit that I've never bought anything mechanical form them but the dealings I have had with them have been really good. Everything has arrived on time and has been good quality. I still use SIP for anything engine / safety related though.

Bought a few small parts a few years ago and wasn't impressed so decided not to bother again, I'd not lost much so no bad feeling. Having said that I'd not assume all their products are of that below par standard and certainly some of their higher level stuff gets rave reviews so it's your call.

When I bought my LI it had a scootRS exhaust and PWK carb. Both were spot on.Good quality products. The pipe was revvy and the carb responsive.
However they did have a big beef with Beedspeed and the Sterling products they sell.

I thought it was Taffspeed that had the beef with them? Something to do with the Sterling looking a lot like their pipe, but being 13mm shorter.
Oddly, there are apparently 13 seperate welds in the pipe too! Coincidence or what? :)

were scootrs not threatening to stop suppying to shops that were sellin sterling products?
coz that bloke that does sterling used to work for them and then set upon his own
sterling pipes are pretty good on a tuned motor, powewr band is high up the rev range so you gotta thrash the nuts off it tho

the pipe on the 200 was ok, did the job all right. all standard did 70 only holed one piston on a 118 jet (poss reason was 4% on a premix once i cut it to 3 never had any more probs. must say i do fancy one or more of their long range tanks for my lamby.... :banging
Disco Dave - November 5, 2009 10:21 PM (GMT)
The scoot RS pipe was based on an early PM not Taffspeed as via an article in scootering the sterling one was very similair

Boght a disc brake set up a few years ago for a Lambretta
Is was a complete nightmare.Either the system would not bleed or the piston jammed !
However it was there soon retified, they replaced it free with the upgraded nissin version that used Japanese soured parts and that worked peferctly.
fatfuk - November 6, 2009 09:27 AM (GMT)
