Since I am from Sweden I thought it was appropriate that I should bring this up.

Ace cinematographer Sven Nykvist has passed away 83 years old.
Nykvist became famous for his "realistic" light to several important films by Ingmar Bergman. Lasse Hallström also worked with him on two films. Even the Bergman fan Woody Allen hired him to lit his film Celebrity and this film became one of the last films Nykvist ever worked on.
Nykvist also worked with such famous filmmakers as Roman Polanski among others.
Nykvist also directed a film: The Oxe in the 90`s.

He is survived by his filmmaking son Carl-Gustaf who once appropriately made a documentary about his legendary father.
