Alan seems to be at ease with big band-style jazz music. I'd be curious to know which music artists he likes to listen to. He obvioulsy has a great deal of respect for the works of Williams, Goldsmith and Herrmann when it comes to film music, but he's got strong pop sensibilities for sure. A cue from his Identity score even sounds a little bit like U2 music :D
