Title: Any chance of James scoring The Lovely Bones?
Description: (Peter Jackson's new film?)

My guess is that Howard Shore isn't running back to PJ after the whole Kong fiasco, but will James? I'd really love for JNH to score this film, the story seems fitting for him. Will he be able to squeeze it in his busy 2008 schedule?

I'd also like James to score this movie. If Peter Jackson ask him I hope he will find some room in his busy schedule.

I think if Jackson asks him he will try to find room in his schedule ;)

Well, the movie comes out late 2008 and if i am not mistaken, all of the movies on james schedule should be released by the end of summer at least, so there must be some room. But I would really prefer it if Jackson would go for someone else this time. Not necessarily howard shore though. What about alan? ;)

Well I think James would be the perfect candidate for scoring this film. I have read the book and feel that he would be able to flawlessly convey the story's emotions, however interpreted by Jackson.

Here's hopin'...

I think this film has great potential to be nominated for a variety of awards, and I think JNH needs to attach himself to more films like that.

I agree with you guys this movie is perfect for James.

It has been announced that The Lovely Bones will be released on March 13, 2009. That shouldn't clash with any of James' currently scheduled projects. ;)

Why so sure that PJ isn't 'running back' to Shore? Yes, they parted during King Kong but all reports were that they are still friends and willing to work together (they must be, because I want 2 Hobbit scores).

I'd be really happy with either composer, I'm just saying I think putting down JNH as a dead cert is a little premature.

For me, neither howard nor shore (wow what a pun :D ) is a sure bet, because somehow i have the feeling that PJ might go into a completely different direction with lovely bones and thus going with a completely different composer this time.

If that's not the case though, my money is on shore rather than howard.

Someone at IMDB said Brian eno's name appears in the soundtrack credits; I'm not sure if that's for songs or score or both. the film has been pushed back, it was going to open later this year.
