Title: Back To The Future: An analysis
Description: Film Music Course in Gothenburg

As many of you probably know, I study film music at the University of Gothenburg and our latest assignment that we got was to do an analysis of a specific film and it`s score.

My group had The Illusionist with music by Philip Glass. But one of the other groups had Back To The Future. That was fun to listen to an analysis of that score. I must admit that even if I had listen to that score so many times before but know I will listen to it in a way that I had not done before. You should have been there.

The Other films (or should I have said filmscores) that got analyzed was The Matrix, Requiem for A Dream, Eternal Sunshine of A Spotless Mind, Bagdad Café and Rendition.

BTTF is indeed a very interesting score to analyze. From the excellent spotting that has no score during the introduction up until the moment when we see the delorean for the first time to the nice playing with the theme. BTTF has a lot more to offer than many people like to think.
