ComingSoon.com is reporting that Silvestri is doing the score.
Why? Does he have a daughter that begged him? :right:
Each new assignment is better than no assignment! I am officially excited and hope that this does not mean that he can't score night at the museum 2 anymore. Imagine... if he now also has hannah montana, that means we are getting a massive 4 new scores next year! Thats the highest silvestri dose since... well, almost 6 years!
I just find it a bit strange that we found out about this new assignment via comingsoon.net and not from emile.
Yes, I can confirm that Alan will score this movie. Peter Chelsom is directing. He worked with Alan on Serendipity and I can remember he wanted to work with Alan more.
So emile, what does that mean for NATM 2? Do you have any news on that one too? Will alan even be able to score it anymore now that he does hanna montana?
edit: nevermind... just checked the main page ;)
For what we know, the movie will be the first since 2007's beowulf to carry Silvestri music (and will then be followed just a week later by NatM2).
I wonder, since music and especially pop songs will obviously play a huge part in this film, is Alan already involved early on to compose songs that will be used in the picture? Emile, do you know anything yet? I would think that he is even forced to work on this earlier than usual because of the overlapping post pro time frame for NatM2.
The movie's success could be bigger than expected. Earlier this year, there was a concert 3-D movie called hanna montana/miley cyrus: best of both worlds which was only released into a bit more than 600 theaters but made more than 60 million in total.
