Just voted and added the news to front page of website! Fingers crossed for her.

if we all vote(and get friends to vote) we can surely get simone at least onto the shortlist so that she is there on the night-well lets hope. unfortunately there is a lot less simone/bad girls fans around these days and the type of people who vote in these things tend to vote for the well- known and populist faces and programmes so simone will probably lose out.

I know, i was thinking the same vir332, but if u well get people to vote, we could at least get her onto the short list, and also there are alot of Wire in the Blood fans that we dont know about, so they might vote for her too :) we never know what could happen :)

We also have to remember she was eventually liked by quite a few of the Monarch of the Glen fans - and certainly there are a lot of WitB fans who have taken to her! So its hopeful she is in as good a position at the moment as anyone else.

does anyone know when the shortlist is revealed? It must be fairly soon. Hopefully we have managed to get simone onto it . It will be pretty disappointing if simone isnt, particularly if the list is filled with people from soaps. I know we are biased but simone definitely deserves more recognition than she seems to currently get.

I wonder when they are going to release the short list of nominee's, the awards is on in around 2 weeks or so. I really hope Simone is on the short list, ive got everything i can possibly cross, crossed! :D Simone so deserves to be on that list and win it too! :wub:

Hands down and two thumbs up, way up! Simone deserves to be on the short list, the shortest list for BEST Actress. She is an incredible actress. She knows how to take a character and bring her to life--in multicolor!

Unfortunately it does not look like simone has made the shortlist nor wire in the blood in the drama category so simone will not be there. I am not really surprised as i have said before- people tend to vote for the most well -known faces. Simone is only on 4 weeks in the year and is not a household name so is not widely recognised. I think a few years ago when there were huge amounts of fanatical simone fans on the web we might have been able to get her onto the shortlist but not now with fewer about. It would have been nice to have seen simone in a sexy frock.

That would be a real bugger - especially since WitB is most certainly one of ITV's flagship dramas! But unfortunately as has been said, its only on for a few hours in total - 4 times a year, and unless the voting takes place right in the middle of it being shown, it just doesn't generate the same interest as other dramas.

Let's hope this changes for next year!

I join the protest - i was gutted Simone did not make the short list nor WITB. Which means Simone is less likely to be there. But still i have my ticket and i look forward to going - i went a few yrs ago and it was ace.
