Title: Smile?

First I guess I should say "HI" to everyone. So "HI". I'm Lisa from the Pennsylvania.
I'm excited about Wire in the Blood coming out on DVD. I'm had to make due with bits on youtube. (but now I see it's available as a bit torrent. :rolleyes: )
Anyway, my question/observation is this: Does Simone ever smile in this series? I can't remember more than a smirk, but never that trademark smile of hers. I noticed that not even in the screen caps is there a single one of her smiling.
I have to say, I miss that smile.

I think Alex is definitely a more serious character than any others Simone has ever played. I'm sure I've seen her smile at some point though.

Simone does smile in the series, she's smiled a few times although not as much as she has in other stuff. I remember seeing her smile when Alex is helping her son with his Tie at the beginning of the 2nd episode in series 5 and at the end of episode 4 in series 5. Those are the ones that stand out to me.

I didn't mean to say that she has never smiled, but they are definitely few and far between, and never the trade-marked tongue smile. I remember her smiling with her son more than once. Oh wait, I did just see quite a few in the screencaps for 5.4. (I haven't seen it yet over here in the US. I'll bit torrent it at home later.) The USA is Simone deprived. I think that's why our president is such a schmuck.
The show is obviously dark, and not meant to be filled with smiles, but I'd kill to see the smile that lit Scotland once again. lol :D

I miss that hearty laugh of hers. I remember how infectious it was on some of the outtakes / bloopers and extras on the Bad Girls DVDs.
Anyone remember the one with Claire King (i.e. when the pack of cigarettes spilled out) when they were shooting the scene for BG S2E7 where they discussed Nikki's case after Helen returned to Larkhall to head the lifer's unit?
That was my fav blooper...... :D
Wish Coastal would upload some Simone bloopers on YouTube to show the lighter side to production of WITB. So far they've only put up a couple of clips..... sigh.

That blooper is so funny! her leaugh is so infectious! lol :D
I also love the outtake of Simone and Helen Fraser where Simone is trying to say the line where she is shipping out Caroline and they keep laughing, love it! :D
