Just wanted to confirm something I'd heard and wondered if anyone on this board, especially if you're in the UK can confirm if Wire in the Blood S6 is scheduled to start airing in April this year?

If someone has read anything, and can send me a link to an article or a scan of it I'd really appreciate it. I'm the administrator for the Wire in the Blood - Case Closed Group on Facebook and I'd like to post an update regarding air dates if any have been announced in the UK. I'm based in Singapore so it's a big challenge for me to get hold of some articles.

I would doubt it as they have not long aired season 5?!

We've still not heard much about this, but the filming for Series 6 did take place about 2 to 3 months earlier than the last series - so allowing for the airing having taken place for series 5 in July last summer, although April *might* be a little soon, it is possible, and May is very possible.
Having said that, the filming might have changed due to other project commitments by Robson in particular, or even the production company.

So the actual air dates might not be a reflection of filming dates this time around. We really don't know at this stage.

If we spot anything, we'll let people know here as soon as we possibly can. :)

Thanks guys. I was thinking along the same lines too, but some members in the Group were saying that, that was what they read and I just wanted to see if I could find an official confirmation.

We can all hope I guess. Whenever it comes on I'm definitely there, Simone has done such a great job in this role. There's been no news of series 7 being commissioned, I'm wondering if this is going to be the last season given the new Val McDermid series they've taken up.

I'll miss Simone when she moves off screen again. Such a great actress and a joy to watch.

Im not sure about air dates and stuff but my mam's boss works as an extra and he has just been filming a scene for Wire in the Blood, which he is in with Robson Green recently, i think he filmed it a couple of weeks ago. Im not sure whether that helps with when it might be aired here in the UK.

Thanks for that one Lizi. If they are still filming its not likely to be an earlier showing then. It tends to take around 4 to 6 weeks after filming something to get it through the rest of the production process before it can be shown for most series (although soaps and other shows can have less time between using a slightly different set up), so if they haven't quite finished filming in the last couple of weeks I would be surprised if its before May or now into June for showing.

But we still keep an eye on various places, hoping to spot an announcement so will post it here - and of course if anyone else does spot a date we would appreciate it if they also posted it here for everyone to see. :)

Series 6 is suppose to be broken up into 8 episodes so I wonder if they're going back to the old format of splitting each story into two parts.
