Iv just read a piece on val merdermids website and she says that the new series will be aired in the autumn:


The TV series of Wire in the Blood continues on its upward trajectory. Coastal are currently filming series 4, which includes an adaptation of The Torment of Others. I've seen all the scripts and I think they're even better than before, hard though that is to imagine. I was on set yesterday with the cast and crew, and I have to say I think this series is also going to look even better than before. There is a dramatically new look to the police station, and I think we're going to end up with some very exciting TV when the series airs in the autumn.

damn, I thought it would of been sooner than that??

Anyone got a date on this yet?
Theres so much crap on the TV at the moment we need this to come on like now :lol: xx

The last known rough date given (and has been the one for some time) is showing in the Autumn.

No other information than that at the moment I'm afraid.

It seems so long ago that we heard about this being filmed, I hoep ITV doesn't change its mind about showing it after all their recent Drama *Flops*

They better bloody not change their minds! Ive been well looking forward to this! Its been far too long since Simone has been on our screens, and Simone+Robson=Compulsive viewing! :P

Its not scary is it? I never watched it before cos it sounds as though it might be scary, oh well I'll have to watch it anyway!

Ok i have never seen Wire in the blood, yet i was going through my book collection the other day and goes knows how but i actually have one of the books the story is based on lol. I read it and thought it was brilliant - god knows how long i have had that book and suddenly my fav actress is in it. Brilliant love it - cant wait till it airs, i have missed Simone on our screens

The latest tx date available for the UK is September, but I can't believe it's actually going to be after it's already started in Australia tomorrow - lucky people that they are!

It's about time us Aussies got something first...I can assure you though, having just seen Simone's first episode, it will be worth the wait :D
