Yes, Nikki has passed her Exam - I am not too sure what the final qualification was - or if we found that much out? Shed had it somewhere I think on their site or on the series 4 DVD's in a tiny outtake or something? Either way, it wasn't something that was really announced!

I also have a question, I think I may have asked already but can't find it. Laughing

Did anyone ever find out about *that* mystery song? I read about it when I was lurking years back, and had already noticed the song in question.

The mystery was solved some time ago - Its apparently is:

"Back Against The Wall" By Loveday and Loveday.

And, you used to be able to get a copy from:

Music House International
2nd Floor
143 Charingcross Road
London
WC2H 0EE

Tel No: 0207 434 9678
Fax No: 0207 434 1470

I didn't get one, but apparently someone did - but I never heard that confirmed personally just what was going through the rumour mill at the time, but I do know this is definately the place that dealt with the song and the artists at the time.

I sent this question to Shed, but never heard back from them.

With Bad Girls being so damn popular in the UK and hopefully soon here in the US, where's all the merchandise? We merchandise to death here in the states, if something is popular we make everything from t shirts to mugs, etc. I can't even find a Bad Girls t-shirt on line. Did they ever make any merchandise regarding the show?

Yes, she was. Di mentions it in an outtake (I can't remember whether it's on the series 2 or 3 dvd) when she introduces herself to Nikki in the garden.

This is something that has been asked again and again of SHED - I reckon if they had even managed to produce small merchandise in the very beginning it would have gone through the roof!
I accept they were (and in many ways) still are a small TV production company with limited staff - and who are in the business of making TV first and foremost....... but imo I think this was a vital area that SHED badly missed out on!
It isn't that hard just to make some basic stuff up (and not that expensive) - keyrings, mugs, coasters etc.

I doubt it will now ever happen and like I've said, it was something people kept asking about time and again. Poster, calanders - you name it, people were desperate to buy it in the first 2 or 3 series and beyond!

You wouldn't believe what I've had to make on my own just so I could have some bad girls stuff. I ride a motorcycle so I had the opening of Bad Girls, you know where the bars turn to "Bad Girls" and the sun is shining through, I had that airbrushed on the back of my leather motorcycle jacket, it turned out pretty cool, but really we need some official merchandise, but again you're probably right the time for that has probably passed.

PostPosted: Fri Sep 23, 2005 2:50 pm Post subject: On "oh what a night" and DVD Regions

Hi there all!

I know a lot of the hype has died down over Bad Girls, but being in a country that doesnt know good tv if it bit them on the arse [australia], im still only at the beginning of series 3 [and yes, am really only interested in the nikki/helen plot... although i think yvonnes great as well] I have a couple of Q's that i am DYING to get answers to! So any help would be appreciated!

Firstly, i know the DVDs of the first few series are available and i just wanted to know what does it mean by "Region 1", "Region2" etc??? lol. i have no idea!

And secondly [ i dont want this 2 sound crude] but exactly how far did nikki and helen go in "Oh what a Night!" [final ep, series 2]? i have a feeling that we were only shown a "censored" version where theyre only seen kissing for bout a minute- what did everyone else see???

any help would be great
thanks
scarlette

PostPosted: Fri Sep 23, 2005 3:13 pm Post subject: HI Scarlett

Hello there.
Basically the "Region" stands for DVD compatibility.
For instance, Region 0 DVD 's I believe play on any DVD player
Region 1 is usually DVD's devised to play in North America, ie, Canada and the US.
Region 2 is formatted for the areas of: UK, Europe, Japan, South Africa, and the Middle East.

So bottom line is the DVD's that I order from the UK will not play on my DVD player as I am in the states, but they will play if I have a Multi-Region or Region 0 DVD player. So depending on where you live you need DVD's compatible with that region or they won't play on your DVD player. Since only Series 1 is out here in the States, I purchased Series 2 and 3 from the UK and played them on my computer. I don't know if I explained that properly and forgive me if I have confused you more. Another poster might be able to explain it better.

As for Helen and Nikki, the only thing shown on the DVD is the kissing and unsnapping of the nurse's uniform, followed by Nikki and Helen being in bed talking and holding each other. There is a deleted scene from Series 2 showing them doing more kissing and collapsing on a sofa with Helen straddling Nikki, and Nikki hands touching Helen's breast briefly . It is a much more involved scene and far more passionate then the one that got through the censors. Who am I kidding, the scene is downright HOT!!
Hope I helped a bit!
HA

Lol, thanks for getting back so quickly. yeh, that helped heaps now. its porbably not a good idea for me to buy region 1 or 2 dvds then! i think australia is region 4, but ill have to check.

yeah, bout the nikki and helen scene in "oh what a night" cos i read in an article that apparently it was "one of the most steamiest [or words to that affect?? cant remember the exact quote] lesbian scenes ever" and then i saw the episode, and im like "did i miss sumthing? that was nuthing [not that i was hanging out for it or anything!!! ]". im thinking maybe the article refered to the deleted scene... or theyre jus soft.

anyway, thanks for getting bak so quickly

PostPosted: Sat Sep 24, 2005 12:46 pm Post subject: No Problem

If you want to get the Region 2 DVD's you can get them to play on your computer most likely. That is what I am doing until I can afford the Multi-Region DVD player.

As for "The Scene", they had to be talking about the deleted scene because the one broadcasted was tepid at best. I don't know if you have ever seen the American show: The "L" Word, but in comparison, the sexual scenes they show make Helen and Nikki's scene look like a church picnic. But, to be fair, the "L" Word is also a cable show and they have much more leeway than regular broadcast television. '
I'm just glad that they did allow Helen and Nikki's intimacy some sort of recognition on screen as it could not be left out of such a beautiful love story.

Well, glad I could be of some help.
Take Care
