Well, when Billie Piper leaves Doctor Who they will be looking for a new female actress to play The Doctors companion.

I was thinking that the show needs a more mature character. While watching Simone in action in Bad Girls a thought struck me. How great would Simone be in Doctor Who? Not great. Perfect.

I would love to see her acting alongside David Tennant and I think the two of them together would give a fantastic performance. I really do think it would be excellent. We'd get to see Simone every Saturday on BBC1!

I'm not aware if Simone is a fan of Doctor Who or even if she likes it but I think she would be brilliant in it. So I'm writing to Russell T. Davies, the producer of Doctor Who to send him this request. Also, if Simone is reading this then I think you should really consider it! ;)

I would imagine they will go for someone around the same age again as Billie Piper.
I agree, I think Simone would be great in the role, but I suspect she would be too old unfortunately........ but it would most certainly suit her and I can imagine she and David Tennant would work well off each other.
I would also like to see her do more lighthearted/comedy as well which it would give her.

And of course it depends on what contract she has with Wire in the Blood and filming commitments for them?

I've actually sent an E-Mail to BBC Wales suggesting that Simone would be great as the Rani. For those who don't know the Rani was basically an evil female version of the Doctor. She was rumoured to be played by Zoe Lucker but I think Simone would be brilliant.

I think Simone would be excellent at playing an evil bitch, for some reason that idea really appeals to me. But then before Simone I was (and still am) a massive Abby fan (Knots landing), her cunning and scheming ways far surpassed those of Joan Collins in Dynasty and the acting was much better!

I really liked Simone in fallen, as she played a baddie in that. Only we didnt get to see much of that side and I would have preferred her to have spoken with her normal scottish accent.

Personally if I was an actress I would much prefer to ply "the bitch" because that role would be a lot more fun, than playing a do-gooder.

When I say I would like Simone to play a bitch, I mean more of a Tanya (footballers wives) style of bitch where she manipulates people that deserve to be treated like that, not an evil bitch who goes round abducting children!

There is no way I would watch that programme, unless of course Simone turned up in a nurses outfit, I'd definately reconsider then.

How about simone in a uk version of the l word? america is always re-making british shows into american ones so we could re make l word with uk cast- simone, claire king, claire goose- it would be great!

as for current shows- there are few good uk dramas on tv at the moment. How about simone as a nurse in holby city- we would see her every week and she would have to wear a nurses uniform which wouldnt be a bad thing

mmmm what would i love to see Simone in - to be honest i dont watch tv much. I only watch a tv series if my mum and dad buy it coz it looks good. If i like it i watch it. Thats how i became a fan of Simone my mum and dad brought Bad Girls. So now i watch whatever she is in but dont really watch tv enough to know what kind of stuff is on. I dont watch the bill but my dad does so have seen it a few times and know i would love to see Simone in it. Then i wouldwatch it religiously lol

funny you should mention the L word, cos I was just thinking the other day after I read that interview where Simone said she may move to LA, that I would be so sad if she moved. And then I thought not if she got a part in the L word I wouldn't!

To be honest I dont think Simone would play the part of a lesbian again, thats just kinda the impression I got, dont know why but thats just what I think. I just kinda got the impression that she didnt like all the attention from lesbian fans, and so would think twice about putting herself into that type of role.

Who knows, I'm probably totally wrong, its just a feeling I get!

mmmm in not sure, i didnt get that impression, not that i have ever spoken to her about it mind lol. It may more be a case of the fear of being type casted. I think a few actresses worry about that. I mean in a sense Simone is already type casted as a career, strong willed woman. Although this role suits her well, and lets face it we love it coz it reminds us of Helen Stewart lol, Simone is a brillaint actress and is fantastic in all her roles. In fact the best thing i have seen her in was Long Haul.

So if Simone does not play a lesbian again it may be more the case of not wanting to be type casted as a gay charcater. But im not sure she would turn down a good role just because she was given the part of a lesbian. Yes if it happened all the time she probably would. Maybe Simone liked being a gay icon, maybe she didnt, who knows. Ill ask her later SW2 when she comes to see me lol.
