BAD GIRL SIMONE'S BABY JOY

SCOTS star Simone Lahbib is celebrating the birth of her first child.

The 40-year-old actress and husband Rafaello Degruttola, 35, are thrilled at the arrival of daughter Skye.

Stirling-born Simone discovered she was expecting the day before her husband of two and a half years - who was in Saving Private Ryan - was due to take a fertility test.

A friend of the couple said they were "delighted" after having their daughter earlier this month.

She added: "They are so happy - absolutely ecstatic and over the moon. She's a beautiful baby and her parents couldn't be prouder."

But new mum Simone is already planning to get back to work - she makes her TV comeback in grisly detective series Wire In The Blood in January.

Congratulations to Simone and Raffaello on the birth of Skye.
Typically, this morning we were late getting online and so got a whole host of reports sitting in our in box lol

We are going to begin a separate thread to allow people to write their congraulations that can then be printed and posted to the agents for Simone and Raffaello.

More general congraulations and talk over the baby can take place on this thread - thanks for posting it ML btw.

Just a very small head shot was used - a known picture of Simone. We have got the article but time pressures elsewhere have meant we just haven't had the time to scan and put it up but we'll let people know when we have via this board and the main site news.
