Ok i couldnt resist lol - i could not find the screen captures - which is good coz it gave nothing away and i still got to see a pic of Simone. She looks hot as usual. God you would nopt believe she is 41 and had a baby less that a yr ago - hope i look that good. (lol i wish) dont even look that good now lol. Loves her hair as well perfect length i think.

LOL - temptation nearly always gets in my way!
There's a row of images along the bottom and there's one of a camera with "screen" underneath it - click on the camera and there you go.
She looks amazin in the show and I hope she goes on to make another series.

ah I clicked on the camera and it works, when I looked before I was thinking "screenshots, what screenshots".
With regards to you (SLFAN4EVA) saying that Simone looks good for her age, I am not so sure, in some of the shots, she looks as though she should invest in some anti-wrinkle eyecream, and quick! In others she looks much better. When I say that I dont mean to be critical, infact I always thought that in BG her under eye area made her look older than she was at the time. With or without Simone is still gorgeous!
So far i have been lucky, I just turned thirty today and every1 always thinks I am 24/25, and I dont have any wrinkles yet. But still the eyes are always the first area to go, and if i keep squinting at this computer screen the wrinkles are gonna develop! Infact i bought some under eye cream just the other day. i plan to stop the wrinkles before they begin!

Yeah - there are a hell of a lot of screenshots that don't get her looking at her best but I think that is generally due to the subject matter and her role. As she is dealing with a serious subject and most of the time she is talking about murder or murderers, it doesn't give her much of a chance to raise a smile.
Most of the the colours used for the screen are dark and gloomy which isn't very flattering, and it would also look a bit odd to have her made-up and glamorous while investigating! ;)

mmmm i agree with you SW2 her eyes were like that in BG - i call them laughter lines as im sure Simone does lol - ok gonna look at the screen shots - thanks for pointing me in the right direction
slfan4ever - August 21, 2006 09:32 PM (GMT)
wow they look great - didnt look at them all dont want to spoil myself lol. Im getting really excited now. I loved the book Torment of Others and Mermaids Singing, the books the series is based on. I didnt know there was a program of it till Simone was in it wish i watched it before. It is even more amazing now tho Simone is in it and i cant wait till it starts.
I see what you mean bout some of those pics SW2 but i believe it has a lot to do with the type of character she was playing - the same as with Helen Stewart. When i see pics of Simone as herself she is totally gorgeous

have to say, after seeing 1 & 2,simone does look great.the screen shots don't do her justice as it really is the part she plays.always stunning though! she really shows her versatility as an actress.i love her in this role.always been a fan of w.i.t.b so u can imagine how excited i was to find that it would be simone taking the lead!!!

I am glad I havent read the books, that way I can watch the show for enjoyment purposes, rather than thinking they didnt do this or that.
In my opinion if you read the book first and then watch the TV show of film its never gonna live up to expectations, because you will have built up your own mental picture of the scenes and then the TV/film is always going to be different.
I am really looking forward to the other 2 eps

I agree with you there sw2 which is why i have not read the book Wire in the blood yet, thought i would save that one till i have seen the show.
