Scars;; A few scars from puberty on her face.
Most Notable Feature;; She's the only Asian for miles.
Appearance;; Abby has very notable features that make her unique among a face of blue eyes and blonde hair. For one, she has naturally raven black hair that has a bluish sheen that most asians have. Her hair is thick and sleek and seems to be very smooth to the touch. Her hair is cut in light layers and parted in the middle to give a nice look of innocence. Her face, like most eastern people is more square and has a wider face and has a very strong jawbone. Abby's eyes seem small and almond shaped to the appearance and are a plain dark chocolate brown. Although it seems to have a reddish tone when it is in the light. Abbys skin tone is a peach tone with rosy cheeks and a tint of yellow. She used to have very weak skin and has scars from zits and pimples from puberty and such. Standing at a mere five foot three inches, she's not quite the tallest in her class. She never was the biggest or the thinnest girl and was just part of the normal group.

Being so short has its disadvantages. Her legs are short and her torso is a little long, making her appear shorter than she actually is. Her arms are short as well, and often are the core of Frankie's jokes. Abby thinks the worst part of her is her cheeks. They are unnaturally puffy and make her face even wider when she smiles. She has a very low bridge on her nose, and this causes her glasses to slip from her face a lot. Although she uses her glasses, mostly she just wears contacts now for easier handling. Her glasses are black framed with a long rectangular shape to them. Normally Abby wears very casual clothes. Jeans and a teeshirt is enough to satisfy this girl. She doesn't really fuss with dresses and skirts and thinks that heels are a bitch and should never be forced onto anyone. Makeup is probably even more foreign to Abby, since she rarely touches the stuff. Sure, if there's a party maybe some mascara and a little lip gloss, but nothing really extreme. She doesn't even know what foundation is.

Personality;;
The first thing that you think when you've talked to Abby is laid back. And that's exactly who Abby is. She's never had anything that would make her freak out or talk in a high pitched squeaky voice. Or has she? Actually the first thing that you get from Abby would be a wrong impression. Infact sometimes Abby is kind of...hyper active and can be a little twitchy. If you want some kind of soft, kind, quiet girl then you've come to the wrong person. Seriously, she's not the kind of person to sit and talk for hours on end. She doesn't even do that with her mother or Lilah. What Abby is, is a teenager. Never without a smile, your real impression of Abby is happy. And she is happy. Why not? She lives in America as one of the few Asian Americans left in the country. Her home country is in chaos and she is glad to have a home somewhere safe. Even though her mommy and daddy died when she was young, she was lucky enough to have Scarlet and Hunter there to be her new dad and mom. Although they could never replace her parents. She is lucky enough to have a brother who respects her for who she is and defends her when she needs it. And she's lucky enough to have friends who care about her and love to have fun with her. Hell she should go file papers and call herself Lucky Whitaker. In all seriousness, she is one of the happiest people in St. Peter's. Almost perfectly happy with her life and the direction she's going.

Liberated.
This is a word that's often used to define Abby. Sure if she'd stuck with her Korean parents she'd be a geek and trying to study and get into Harvard or something. But when Scarlet became her mom, her happiness and health was all that was important. Grades were just a side dish. As long as she didn't bring home anything lower than a B than everything would be ok. Then again if you knew Piper then you're grades weren't really going to slip. Anyways, she was given a drum set and that was like the release of Abby Malone and the death of Abigail Lee. Of course, at sometime in her life she thought about being a genuine asian and studying her butt off, but she just forgot about it. That's one bad thing, she's very uncommited. Normally she can't make a decision unless it's forced upon her. Then she just excepts it. Just look at her original career aspects: ballerina, cowgirl, astronaunt, doctor, actress, singer, rock star. Not very commiting occupation choices. (Except the doctor, but she could never go through all that school.) Not many people think of her as someone who is afraid of commitment, but she doesn't really let people know about that side. She may not seem like it, but sometimes she finds it hard to let people in. She always thinks of herself as someone different from the groups of people in the town. Therefore completing the cycle of liberation. She's liberating but she likes to stay free away from commitments and keep herself away from groups.

Free Thinking.
Abby's never the one that you want to have a debate on. Sure, her political knowledge is seriously stunted, but she'll end up arguing you into defeat. Being free thinking isn't always a good thing, especially when Abby pairs it with determination. She never stops fighting for what she believes in, which sometimes is a bad thing. If you were in a debate with this girl about presidents, you'd mention Lincoln and she would fight you with Nixon. Her thought process never makes sense but you accept her. Abby was never one to judge people. Everyone is equal in her eyes and she knows that's why her parents moved her to this country. Everyone had freedom of speech and people could be the people they wanted to be. One thing Abby hates is hate crimes. Things like homosexuals being mistreated and blacks being beaten. Trust me, Brokeback Mountain was a hard movie for her to watch at the end. As a kid, she was easily accepting of a lot of things. She accepted that Scarlet wasn't her mommy, but she would be taking care of her. She accepted that her parents were dead, but believed that they were still with her. She believed that even if her brother wasn't her real brother, he would be her only brother. She'll never think of anything that would put your spirits down. At one time she thought about being a political speaker to talk about her beliefs, but again, she didn't really want to commit to it.

Independent.
If anything, Abby is independent. Give this girl a box and she'll live on the streets for weeks. When her dad and Frankie left and her mom was at work, she'd stay home and cook her own food along with put herself to bed. Even as a kid she was trusted at babysitting more than her older brother, who cuased more problems than solved. She is happy being alone. This also means that she is happy being single. After all along is equivalent to single in the world of romance. When Todd broke up with her, she was in pain, but she didn't cry as much as she'd thought she would. Being independent is a burden, but she never complains. It's just another exercise to help her with the real world. Abby tries to keep her mind on the positive when she's coarsing through life becuase she'll end up really depressed if she doesn't. When Abby actually breaks down it's pretty scary and people don't want to be around her that much any more. She's been known to go through five boxes of large kleenex.

Proud.
Pride is never a good thing, but it's something Abby has too much of. She's prideful and sometimes even a little arrogant. Pride can be defined in many situations in her life. Most of them you can guess about. She's proud to be American, as cheezy as it sounds. She's glad to be part of the country. Even if she was made fun of as a kid for looking funny she loves the country. Abby would call herself America if she every ran out of a name. She's proud to cry during World Trade Center and when she seems videos of the soldiers protecting home and country. She's proud to be Korean. No one gets to take that right away. She likes being different. Part of being original is being proud of who she is on the inside. If she just turned into a banana, yellow on the outside and white on the inside, she'd be lying to herself and that's not something she would ever do. She's proud to have a family who cares about her, and of course, she's proud to be the only Asian for miles.

LIBERATED. FREE THINKING. INDEPENDENT. PROUD.

History;;
If you're looking for a sob story, you've come to the right place. Abigail Malone was born from Grace and Hyun Lee. And while they loved their home country of Korea, a new world with better opportunities lay in America. So they married and had their first daughter in America. Grace lived a few miles away from a town called St. Peters. Grace and Hyun were both American citizens, Hyun who immigracted and Grace who was born in St. Peters. Growing up she was friends with her classmate Scarlet. She even named her Abby's godmother, in case she ever died along with her husband. This very thing happened. Before the bombing Abby was just an average kid in life. From childhood she was never a loud kid and stayed away from problems. Her mother and father were blessed to have her and constantly took pictures of her and them. Then at the age of eight, after a good life with her parents and on a day when she was in daycare, there was a bombing. Her father was working as a manager in the office of a large business building and her mom was going to go pick him up and then pick up Abby. Both were killed in the first wave of bombs. Abby herself was in a daycare about ten blocks down the way. She heard the bombing noises loudly and the rest was just black to her. She remembered being found by social services in the daycare and being told things she didn't understand. They sent for a translator, who did the same, and she still didn't register the message. Of course she understood Korean and English, but the idea of her mommy and daddy dead was not understandable for her. They shipped her to her Aunt Scarlet's. She knew Scarlet because her mom always talked about her and she visited her a lot when her parents went out on business trips. At first that's what Abby thought it was, just another business trip. But Scarlet let her down easy. Her parents were really gone. She let Abby go to see their graves and see the funeral. She let her do almost anything that first year. Most of the time she didn't talk much and just stayed distant. The doctor's said it was normal for her. She didn't cry, just stared at the pictures of her mom and dad. It took her a year to recover, and she was just a kid then. She'd accepted Scarlet and Hunter as her guardians, but only Grace could take the spot of Mom and Hyun the spot of dad.

Growing up she knew how awkward it was for Hunter to play dad, but Scarlet was a natural mom. She accepted them before but she found herself starting to love them. Scarlet never moved around and even bought Abby the drums she'd wished for. She was scared that her mind was replacing them for parents. She kept her distance but was reassured by Scarlet that they could never fill the spot even if Abby wanted them to. We could say that meeting Delilah in high school was the first good thing she'd ever had since Scarlet and it would be true. Meeting Delilah opened new doors for her and Lilah. Spending time at the Frosts she met Piper, Bambi, Todd, Rastis, CJ, Cordell, and of course, Jared. That was her problem. She was after all the wrong guys. She fell for Todd first. It was odd because he was older and somehow always seemed different. When they dated, she felt completely comfortable around him. He was the first guy she could tell, I love you to. When he told her that he was gay, she was crushed, but even more, she was accepting. It was what she did. He needed her to confide in and she was there. She nodded and told him that she supported him, but went home and cried for an hour. They remained friends of course, Todd could never be different around her. She played around with him and joked, but that was all that she needed. Around this time, she started to drum a lot. She'd play for hours in her room, which soon became soundproofed so the family didn't have to go through the same thing she was going through.

Even after Todd, there were others. After meeting Piper, she'd met Scott and then she met Jared. She blames herself a lot for liking her Piper's guys sometimes. Although she knows that Piper was marrying Scott, she also knows that Jared likes Piper. Hell, everyone knows. Even if she'd fallen for Jared, she knew it was stupid because he could never stop thinking about Piper. She never really talked to him much, just between the periods she was waiting for Delilah or Todd. Yeah, even back then she felt an attraction to Jared. He was just always someone who was there, and after Todd she realized he wasn't just there, but he was... Well we'll just say that her outlook towards Jared had turned from friendly to something else. Obviously it was even harder for her to like someone that Piper liked back. Have you ever tried to compete with someone like her. Might was well label her as Miss. Perfect. So she knew that Scott was out of bounds. Even if he was gorgeous and totally nice. Although these were all guys she had crushes on, this was forgotten as she heard that Frankie, her brother, would be getting married to Delilah. She didn't know what to think. It seemed like only a few years when Frankie was added to thier family, but now Delilah would be her sister in law? It was weird, but still she knew something about Cordell and Delilah. They were closer than anyone else in the town. Then there was the issue of Frankie hitting Delilah. Eventually this might cause a lot of problems. Sometimes she wonders if she's living a normal life or a soap opera.

TEMPORARILY ACCEPTED.

AKA. It's good, but Peter just needs to look over the history and make sure there's no bugs. He came up with all the canons, so he knows 'em better than anyone else. You can post and whatnot, but make sure to come back here and see what he has to say!

((He'll be gone camping for a week, but don't sweat it!))

This is probably just my opinion, but I'm wary about this bit, "It was weird, but still she knew something about Cordell and Delilah. It was moving around. They were closer than anyone else in the town, he'd even wrote a song for her. " Yes - everybody knows Cordell and Delilah are close, but nobody knows that Hey There Delilah was actually written by Cordell for her. Just keep an eye on that..just because you have the OOC knowledge doesn't mean she has the IC knowledge. Just my opinion.

And please remember to register in a lowercase name!

Ok, I just changed it because I don't want any more confusion or stuff like that. WOuld you changed my name to lower case?

jack frost - July 20, 2007 05:26 AM (GMT)
Ohakie, it's nice. =] I like her. really.

(Sorry tired, and being kicked off. xD)

Uhhh, only thing, is Scarlet married Hunter YEARS after she had Abby in her care, so it was just her and Scarlet for a while, then Hunter came. Then Frankie.

And Scott isn't marrying Piper yet, he still hasn't asked her. ;]

Yep.

I love her. You definitely got her. =]
