The park was not a place that most people would expect or even hope to find Amelia Jackons. In fact, parents everywhere probably hoped she would never cross paths with their innocent children for fear that her over the top ways would taint them forever. Though she was far from being the worst person to ever come out of St. Peters she was far from the best as well. Amelia was adrift in a sea of lost souls that seemed to be growing larger and larger as more chaos befell the town. With the boys coming back, not that she wasn't happy, she was feeling sort of lost in the shuffle. For once she wished she were like those other girls who had actually committed and hadn't just operated on lust and crushes. However, the brunette was aware that she would be equally unhappy if she had chosen to live that life. For she was really too independent to want to be squashed and smothered by the presence of another, too wild to want to be tamed.
Despite the fact that in her designer jeans and babydoll top she hardly blended in the par Amelia found the peacefulness kind of refreshing. Her life was chaos it seemed with step-siblings and a younger brother who really probably longed for the return of their elder brother. In fact when her brother had gone off to war Mia didn't think she had ever felt so abandoned. Though she didn't lay her problems on him in letters or phone calls. No, she knew that he had more to deal with like actually coming home in one piece. If he had come home dismembered or amputated Amelia knew she would have not been able to handle it. It wasn't that she was shallow like that she just feared the unknown, though there was a fine line between.
Sitting on the edge of the fountain she enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her face. It had seemed such a long time to Amelia since the sun had actually come out. Though with the reappearance came an end to the chilly winter and a beginning to the hot, humid summer. The temperature was not on the rise just yet though and despite it being just mildly warm the brunette had her feet ankle deep in the fountain on the edge of which she sat. Her pants were rolled up and she watched the dark enamel on her toes in the clear blue water as she wiggled them. Being alone like this was nice but it was also lonely and with a sigh she wished someone would walk by. Not just someone, but someone she knew and could talk to. Petty fights were growing old - not that she didn't enjoy them and she thought that if she had to listen to the snarls of another today she would surely hit them.
Instead she craved good conversation. Not necessarily a friend, there was drama brewing with her friends she could feel it but anyone. In short, she just needed human interaction. Her thoughts were never really to the point more round about than straight forward, unless she had reason to be. It was common knowlege that Amelia had a razor sharp tongue and cutting words, she was a bitch to be nice. But rather than seek out this company she instead arranged her shoes nicely next to her and continued to play in the water. She would wait for them to come to her just as she always had, just as she thought should happen.
