Ronnie had entered the park happily. She was finally going to get to run on the trail. Which she had heard was very long and some people barely finished it. She loved running and a challenge, so this was pretty darn exciting for her. She wore yellow jogging shorts. Which were a little too short for Jack's liking. He had almost trapped her in the house saying he wouldn't let her go out in them. But she persisted to tell him three reasons why she could go out in those shorts. One, she was indeed eighteen years old for Christ's sake. Two, there was nothing wrong with those shorts. Three, it was hot outside and she would surely faint of heat exhaustion if she wore long jogging pants. Jack couldn't really aruge back with her. But you could tell he wish he could up with something a little better to say. I mean, he was the smarter of the two siblings.
Back to the park. She stood at the beginning of the trail stretching. She knew she would probably need to stretch again half way through the trail if it really was as long as people said it was. She went to sweep her bangs out of her eyes forgetting that she had neatly pinned them on top of her head in a small pouf. She sighed at the though of her and her habits. After she was done stretching she stood up and tugged at the hem of her tight fitting blue, pullover hoodie. She began her run. Her once chocolate brown hair now a lightly lighter shade because of the sun was gleaming in the sunlight. Her breathing was steady and she kept at a good pace.
She knew that in running it was all about pace and keeping balance. You always had to remember to inhale through the nose and exhale through your mouth. And also never to push your limits and try to sprint the whole way. Time passed and it seemed like she became in sinc with her surroundings. Her ponytail bounced with every step from her Nike clad feet.Soon the chattering of the birds and the laughing of nearby children at the park became as normal to her as breathing. Ronnie had been running for atleast thirthy minutes. She decided to take a break.Stopping and stretching for a bit before looking around her. Everything was so peaceful and well...green. Usually it would be so hot right now you'd probably be ready to pass out. But the trail was lined with lots of trees. So there was some shade to keep cool. She stretched a bit more before sitting down not to far away from a tree.Little did Ronnie know who was watching her.
ooc:DUN DUN DUUUUN!!!! Haha.

Army times were over. No more gunshots, no more bombs, no more strenuous workouts and grueling hikes. They were back, all of them ... so why did it still feel like he was going to get orders barked at him every other second? Why was he so rigid and tense? Well, whatever the case, work certainly wasn't helping. Then there was the whole arranged marriage thing ... You'd think a guy that would be marrying a woman as gorgeous and lovely as Jennifer Linkin would be, at least, a little more happy ...
Heh. Yeah. Liam isn't exactly your everyday guy, now is he?
His camera dangling around his neck, he gripped the thick branches firmly and proceeded to climb the tree, slowly but surely making his way up to a thicket and seated himself, albeit a little uncomfortably, in the midst of the branches. His own leafy fortress, as he so fondly called it. His escape from the world and its troubles. And it was exactly what he needed to get rid of all the anxiety and tension; just a morning of 'observation'. God knows it helped him out of more than enough tough spots before.
That ability to stay perfectly still kicked in again and Liam found himself simply staring at all the passer-bys. It was a habit of his, one that he'd yet to break, but people could be so ... alluring sometimes. So very interesting with their oddities and impulses. Why, just look at him! He was human, wasn't he? A bit 'creepy', as they'd dubbed him, but still human. Sometimes he couldn't help but watch them, analyze their actions and the such. But at least he wasn't following anyone around. No, he'd stopped that. Johnny didn't believe a word of it, but he couldn't really blame him. Actions speak louder than words, after all.
And it was during his little musings and 'observations' that he came across one of the most amusing young women around. Ronnie Frost, slightly autistic and very funny. A small smile pulled at his thin lips, a slender brow quirking upwards. Well, it seemed he'd be getting the oppurtunity to put his word to the test and prove that he had indeed changed.
Liam got down from the tree -more like dropped down, actually- and approached her slowly, gray eyes flickering around just in case Cody was there. He cleared his throat to catch her attention, hands going to clasp behind his back in a very professional-looking stance, "Ronnie, if you don't mind I'd like a word with you."

Ronnie was surprised and taken back by the sudden sound of someone clearing their...his throat. Her head whipped around to see none other than Liam standing there. Truth be told , she was relieved that it was only him. She had gotten used to his 'observing' her. "Sure." She said smiling bright as she stood up. Ronnie brushed some grass off the back of her shorts before looking back at him. He was standing like was in the military. Well, he was in the military but he wasn't at war or standing in front of some general or whatever.
She laid a hand on his arm. "Your at home..you don't have to stand like that." She acknowledged before quickly pulling her hand away. She knew some people didn't like to be touched. Especially by some complete stranger. Well, he had been watching her, she was a complete stranger to him. "Sorry." She apologized looking down at the ground. She lifted her head back up but had to tilt her chin up just a little to look at him. Ronnie had never noticed how tall he was until now. Her eyes were a bright hazel today because of the sunlight hitting them. A few tenderloins of hair framed her face. Jogging always did that to her hair. No matter how hard she tried, her hair always found its way to her face.
She hadn't admitted but Ronnie was kind of interested in knowing what kind of of person Liam was. Other than him as the creepy stalker who apparently shows up out of nowhere. Which just adds to the creepy factor. Nonetheless, Ronnie smiled waiting for him to say what he wanted to. She also thought about him getting married..that's what she had heard from Bambi. And how Bambi knew this, she had no clue. Probably Tohna had told her. Who knew? For some reason, she just couldn't see him getting married.

He was a bit ... well, I wouldn't say surprised, because there was very little that surprised this young man. Let's just say he wasn't expecting her to touch him, or even the words she said. He couldn't help but laugh a little, quietly and somewhat under his breath. "It's become something of a habit now, I'm afraid." he shrugged, but he did let his arms drop to his sides, a futile attempt to loosen up. "No, no need to apologise," Liam held up a hand before pointing in the direction of the path in a gesture and polite request for her to walk with him, which she thankfully obliged to.
Creepy, but apparently painfully polite. Odd combination, no?
"Terribly sorry to bother you, love," he started with a weak smile. Pet-names were yet another old habit of his, something started by Christy and Alison. He could never bother to call them by their names for some reason and so simply opted for pet-names, and has been using them ever since. It was a bit annoying, actually. "But ... well, I didn't think a little apology note would suffice ... "
Damn, he hated apologies. They were so irritating sometimes, what with the search for proper words and the best way to express it, and then there were those that would refuse it- but Ronnie wasn't the type that would do that. At least she didn't seem so, from what he'd seen and noticed.

Ronnie just looked at him as he spoke. He definatly looked different. I mean..he looked a little older but was also a little bit buffer now. Not anything to brag about but he wasn't the skinny , lanky guy she saw before they went off to war. That was good, now he might have a chance at holding his own so he wont get bashed to a pulp. Not that Ronnie liked fighting in anyway possible. Oh no! Just after seeing Cody punch the crap out of him, she worried about him just alittle bit. I know ,I know, how could she worry about someone she did even know? It was just within her caring nature to. Thinking about the day Cody punched Liam made Ronnie think of Cody. Which she had succesfully been able to keep off her mind every since that day.
She felt a sharp jolt of pain at her chest that she had just grown to know all to well. It was something only Cody could make her feel. Because Cody had been the one to show her what being heartbroken feels like. She decided it wouldn't be best to break down. And it would be even worse to do it in front of Liam. His words caught her off guard. Had he just called her 'love'? The only person she had known to do that was Jack Sparrow. She was pretty sure Liam wasn't him or that he was even a pirate. She wanted to ask about why he called her that but she decided to go against. She should just let him talk."Apology note? For what?" She asked truly confused. She scrunched her nose a little bit. She had did it before and Bambi and called it 'incredibly cute'. If you could imagine Bambi saying something like that.

God, he hated the summer. He always burnt so horribly, which was why he was dressed like he was: a long sleeved shirt and trousers. Of course, those were very uncomfortable in this kind of heat, but it was way better than sunburns, something he would undoubtedly acquire if he stayed under the sun's scorching gaze for long. Liam tried to escape under the shade as much as he possibly could, even now that he was walking alongside Ronnie, he did occasionally swerve under a tree or something along the lines of that.
"For what?" he repeated, his voice laced with humor. Funny. Someone was out there who actually thought that he'd done nothing wrong. Full of surprises, that one. Straightening up a bit more (if that was even possible) he sighed and said, "Well, for watching, or rather, 'stalking' you." He raised his hands and made quotation marks to emphasize the word, portraying his dislike and disagreement for the term. Ah well. That was society, aye?
Long fingers ran through his dark locks, like he always did when particularly uncomfortable or stressed out. This time it was both, because there was still the whole wedding thing looming over his head. Oh, and he had to talk to Tohna too. Lovely.
ronnie frost - July 30, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
"For 'stalking' me?" She asked using air quotes just as he did. "Oh..you mean when you follow me around? It's no big deal. I mean..you didn't try to hurt me or anything. To think of it, you didn't even talk to me." She acknowleged looking up as if to think back to a past memory.
She was still thinking about Cody. Ronnie decided she should apologize for him. You know, cause he never would do it himself. Not in a million...no, a gajillion years. "And sorry that Cody punched you." She added with a slight smile. "I didn't think he would hurt you." And at the same time she was thinking , "I didn't think he'd hurt me either. Before she knew it tears were swimming in her eyes. Those bright hazel orbs were glossed in a watery sheen. She was trying to hold them back but they fell freely.
Ronnie never was one to hide her feelings, well she did with Cody and look how that turned out. Plus, she would have been extremely upset had she not cried. But there was still something on the inside that wished she could have been alone at the time. Or with Bambi or Kevin. Just anyone other than Liam. He just didn't seem like the type of guy that went around comforting people.
ooc:Sorry for the spelling mistakes. I had to rush this cause I just realized im about to be late for work.
