~Gradient Text Animation Tutorial

Start off with basically any picture and any font. I recommend using a thicker font to a slim font. I used Impact. Ill use this picture for the tutorial. Picture

Now create a new layer above your text layer, and use these gradient settings.

Now create a gradient on the new layer, make it look close to this. Now press cntrl+g, and that will group the gradient layer with the text layer. Example pic *Note how the gradient overlays on the text now*

Now for the animation.

Goto File>Jump to Imageready, or for photoshop cs, File>Edit in imageready.

On the Animation Bar below, create a new animation. New Animation

On the first animation, bring the gradient to the left right before the text starts.example
On the second animation, bring the gradient to the right at the end of the text. example
Now, to make the animations in between, we will use the tween tool. Tween tool

Finally goto file>save optimized as. Make sure it is saved as a gif file.
