Note to viewer: This is my first tut so bare with me.
The intention in this tutorial is to try to make the viewer (Begninners mostly) understand the basics of making a background from scratch.
1. Create a document, i choose, 400 by 100.
2. Now fill it with white. Now should look like this.
Result3. Create a new layer (Cntrl+Shift+N)
4. Go to Filter>Render>Clouds
Result5. On the same layer, Filter>Artistic>Sponge, Use these settings, Brush Size=4 Definition=25 Smoothness=9, Should look similar to this
Result6. Same layer, Filter>Brush Strokes>Spatter, settings- Spray Radius=15 Smoothness=6
Result7. Almost done, now again Filter>Blure>Radial Blur, Settings- Amount=50, Zoom, Best Quality
Result8. Optional step- Goto Filter>Liquify settings= Brush Size=48 Brush Pressure=50 then mess around until you got what you like. When you got your result press Cntrl+U and click colorize, then mess around with the sliders until you got your color you like.
ResultYour done! now add your own effects, and what have you..
