My plan after the GT is to crank up my army to 3k so I can once again field a dragon...which I love. Since there is no tournament play in the UK at this level of points I can theme the army a bit more, so here is My Necrarch army in all its glory as it shall be.

Its based around my current army as these are the models I have already done, and Ive built the army based on a single Necrarch Tower theory of a Lord, Count and Thrall. I would like eventually to fit a chicken (Winged NM) in for the Count but as it stands I dont have one and dont have the points.


So what do people think?

Just looking at your general, Master of the Black Arts is pretty redundant when riding a flyer, unless you really want to have it with Drain Life. And packing Sword of Unholy Power you really should have Unholy Cynosure, that's mandatory on my Necrarchs.

Yea that was pretty much the idea, get into the flank of a unit then use soul steal and drain life if i get them to cause some havoc at 18"

Could exchange Master of Black arts for cynosure easily enough, Lord has 10 points spare. Or even forbidden lore to give him more chance of getting the right spells. Will look at it again after the weekend.

I perosnally do not like this list at all. I;m not trying to bash you or anything though.

IMO, you have too few troops. My 1500 list I normally use has more guys than this one. Plus, you have only one squad of Fell bats and two little wolf ones. You'll need more if you want them to annoy your opponent.

Finally, those BK units should be 2x units of 10 or 8.

It does sound good from a fluff point of view but i don't know how well it will actually perform on the battle field IMO
