As silly as it may seem... I have had this idea kicking around since I was on Neopets a few months ago.

It was originally a one on one role play that went horribly wrong because the person I was role playing with at the time barely even role played at all. (no offence)

I guess this should be in the RPG section, and probably may be moved later, if needs be. But for now...

Originally: Lt. Col. Jostanos Sonic was going to travel via a new gate found near where Roy Mustang was stationed to where the Elric brothers, but ended up at the end of the FMA movie "Conquerors of Shambala"; However, due to the unexpectedness of the Gate...

Sonic lands face first in the Pokemon world... possibly with his Sound Alchemy intact.

At first he thinks that the Pokemon are 'Chimera' but soon realises that he wasn't in Central anymore and no where even close to where the Elric brothers were (As far as he knew).

^__^ Well... That is a brief summary of the story yet to come.

Please let me know what you think of it, and perhaps I'll continue.

I have only watched the FMA movie once and that was on Youtube.

And I have watched, and have all the pokemon movies to date... except the latest to come out: Ludicario and the Mystery of Mew. (I do not have any of the t.v. series DVDs though :hehe: but have most of the games for the Gameboy, Gameboy color, and Gameboy advance systems.)

Like most of you, when you first posted your own fan fics, I have to get the chapter ready to be typed.

As you all well know: That is not an easy task. :hehe: But I shall try my best and post it tonight, if possible. Tomorrow at the latest. :)

Well...

Here goes nothing....

Chapter 1: Central HQ

Sitting alone at his desk was a man known as: The Sound Alchemist.
He sat there for a few minutes, thinking about what had happened merely a few months before and began to write:

It seems like only yesterday that Fullmetal and Knight left through the gate to that other world known as 'Shambala'. Nearly everyone here, Especially Col...I mean.. Fuhuer (Sp?) Roy Mustang, misses the Elric brothers.

Chuckling, the writer mutters "The way he used to yell at Edward." then sorta mimicking Mustang's voice "A shrimp like you would never be able to do something so stupid!" then he mimicks Fullmetal's reply "Who are you calling so small that he.." notices Fuhuer Mustang standing in the doorway :hehe: "Hi, Taisa."

Mustang smiles and says "There is a new gate that has opened up near where I was posted before the Shambala insident, Sonic."

The sound alchemist stood up and looked at Fuhuer Mustang and asked "Do you think that the Elrics could have sent it?"

Grinning and giddy like a school boy, Roy Mustang replied "There is only one way to find out, Jos. Let's go!"

Chapter 2: The gate to where?

It took a few days to reach Taisa's old post in the North but they made it.

"There it is Lieutenant." Fuehuer(SP?) Mustang informed Lt. Jostanos Sonic "The Gate that may lead us to Shambala and the Elric brothers."

"Roy, it may be best if only one of us went." the sound alchemist said with concern "You should stay here. I can give any messages that you have for Edward and Alohonse whan I get there." Sonic promised placing a hand on Mustang's shoulder then leapt into the gate.

As the gate closed, Fueher (SP?) Roy Mustang uttered these words "Good luck, Jos. SONIC BOOM FULLMETAL FOR ME!"

Any reply to Taisa's request was not heard or could be given for Jostanos Sonic was already on the other side of the Gate: lying face down in a field near a forest.

The Sound Alchemist sat up, shook the cob webs from his head, and, as he surveyed the area around him, asked aloud "Where am I? Is this Shambala?

Here is a small recap of what happened before (for those who just joined in or decided to skip the first 2 chapters :blue20: (joking of course)) :

Lt. Col. Jostanos Sonic (also known as "The Sound Alchemist" and "Sonic") was writing in his journal about the "Shambala incedent" and The elric brothers leaving through the gate. While mimicking a dialogue between Col. (now Fuhur)SP?) Mustang and Fullmetal, he noticed Roy standing in his doorway and stopped t hear what Taisa had to say: "A new Gate has opened near whera I was stationed before the Shambala incendent, Sonic." and, thinking that Ed and Al sent it Jostanos Sonic and Roy Mustang went to the Gate site to see it for themselves and then...

Chapter 3: Is This Shambala?

"Good luck, Sonic. SONIC BOOM FULLMETAL FOR ME!"

Waking up from his travels through the gate, Lt. Col. Jostanos Sonic shook the cob webs from his head scanned the area he was in and said "Where am I? Is this Shambala?"

All he could see was the field that he landed in and a forest near-by,and..

WT?! the Sound Alchemist exclaimed mentally when he saw a curious creature wandering up to him.

To Sonic it may have been a 'Chimera': A human made monster that was last seen shortly before the Shambala incedent.

But for those in the know..

It's a Pokemon! ^__^

"Pikachu?" the creature asked the Sound Alchemist when it finally arrived, and all the Lieuntenant Colonel thought to do was:

"CHIMERA SCUM PERISH!" he exclaimed and snapped his fingers expecting to hear his sonic attack being fred off at the creature..

It didn't happen..

"Pika?" was all the creature before Lt. Col. Jostanos Sonic said.

Then Sonic looked down at his hands and noticed something missing: HIS GLOVES!

"I thought I put those on before I left my office this afternoon." The Sound Alchemist said as he searched his State Alchemist Jacket for them. "AH HA!" He exclaimed, finding them at last, and put them on. "Now you'll get it, Chimera!"

Then Sonic snapped his fingers again and...

SONIC BOOM!

"PIKAAAAA!" The creature exclaimed as it flew backwards from the impact... and with swirly eyes sighed "pikachu".

WT?! Jostanos exclaimed mentally when he saw that the creature had only fainted not too far from where it was attacked; then he muttered aloud as he reached it "Perhaps you aren't a Chimera after all."

Opening its eyes, the creature looked at Sonic and said "Pikachuu" And with saying that, unleashed a small charge of electricity that shocked the Sound Alchemist.

Chapter 4: A new friend?

The Lieutenant Colonel looked like a certain Pokemon trainer we all know after that initial shock from the creature.

"What a shocking experience." He said, and fainted.

After what seemed to be hours later, Jostanos Sonic woke up to see the creature standing before him with some food. "Pika chu"

"Is this all for me?" the Sound Alchemist asked what he was fastly learning was a "pikachu", and got a "Pika." ^__^ in return.

The food that the Pikachu brought him consisted of: apples, and various berries found in the near-by forest.

"Thank you, my shocking little friend." Sonic rplied with a smile gently scratching Pikachu behind his ears; the electric mouse pokemon seemed to enjoy the complement, and the scratch behind the ears.

After Lt. Sonic had eaten his fill, he mused "You know.. 'Shocking' people seems to be a specialty of yours." "Pika." the pokemon grinned. "So why don't I call you: 'Shocker'?"

The Pikachu's response?

-_- "PIKACHUUU!"

He THUNDERBOLT ed Lt. Col. Jostanos Sonic for that remark.

"Scratch that." Sonic said as he puffed out some smoke from his mouth "How 'bout "Sparky" instead?" and as he fainted for the second time that day.. the sound alchemist saw the Pikachu smile.

*chuckles* So it seems that Sonic has a new friend: A Pikachu named 'Sparky'. ^__^

Yeah, I admit that it may be a repeat of an actual character's pikachu's name, but it was the only one that I could think of. :hehe:

Chapter 5: A New Journey Begins!

It was nightfall when the Sound Alchemist woke up again.

How long was I out? he wondered then added, as he scratched the sleeping electric pokemon's head, "You really can shock a person when you want to, Sparky." The electric mouse just smiled in his sleep and sighed, cheerfully "pika".

A little later that evening, sparky woke up to the sound of clapping, slapping, and a voice calling out "Sonic, To Taisa, Do you copy?"

Wondering what or who may be making those noises, the electric mouse pokemon scampered towards the location of the noises and saw...

His new friend: Jostanos Sonic with his hands on a tree. ^__^

At first that was a vast relief to Sparky, until he noticed that there was a slight glow around Sonic's hands where they were placed on the tree.

Why are my friends hands glowing like that? the pokemon wondered, and wandered closer to find out.

About 30 minutes after Sonic scratched Sparky's ears...

Lieutenant Colonel Jostanos Sonic remembered that he was trying to find the Elric brothers and had failed to do so.

I have to contact Mustang to let him know that I'm not in Shambala. he thought as he scrambled to the nearest tree and prepared to use his sound alchemy for that purpose.

Present

"Jostanos Sonic, to Roy Mustang, can you hear me, Taisa?" the sound alchemist called out again, and still no response.

Then Jostanos noticed that he wasn't alone and stopped using his alchemy.

:hehe: "Hi, Sparky." he nervously chuckled "I was trying to contact my home in Central." but the electric pokemon wasn't buying it.

Sighing, Sonic tried to explain to his new friend:

Jostanos Sonic's narrative to Sparky

"Sparky, I am a Sound Alchemist. I come from a world where people, such as myself, may use Alchemy to research, create, restore, and or destroy many of the elements that surround us each day."

Jostanos then pauses to take a deep breath and, also, to allow Sparky to soak all that in.

Then, as he scratches the electric pokemon behind the ears, Sonic continues "Central is my home, and I miss it, Sparky." the sound alchemist sighed and a tear fell from his eye.

Not too strangely, Sparky remained silent, but gave Sonic a comforting kiss and hug before sitting back down where he was and waited for Jostanos to continue.

In truth... I would rather not try to post sonic meeting Ash and friends myself because I think it may be just a tad biased in doing so...
