Well, if you go just by the death of L in the anime/manga, Raito won. But L, which is not just one person, also had backups of 'himself' (so to say) that won in the end.

Kira = Raito Yagami = Light Yagami
Raito is the same thing, basically. Most people call him Light, but I think that sounds stupid. So I call him what some people call him: Raito.
Yes, he did die. And I suggest you watch the anime or read the manga. The movie is REALLY different from both. The manga is the best in my opinion.

super spoiler: L Lawliet is killed by Rem and Light is killed by gunshots/Ryuk. The actual name L is a cover name used by L Lawliet, Light, and Near. Even know L (lawliet) was killed, another L (near)((N)) was still alive at the death of Kira (light) so tecically, L did win in the end. There was four Ls in this exact order: L Lawliet (L) ((Ryuzaki)) (((Hideki Ryuga))), Nate River(Near)((N)), Mihael Keehl (Mello), and Mail Jeevas (Matt).
