Alright, so I had this idea for a signature-making contest on the IJ message boards. There was one a while back but it was a bit chaotic and besides, it's over now. I asked DarknessAngel712 for permission and got it. The next time he/she gets on, he/she'll probably be pinning this thread, also.

Anyway, onto the details. This contest is totally themed! The theme? The end of summer. Since summer's almost over I thought a Summer-themed contest was in order. But there's a catch!

You have to use this image for your work.

RULES
- All entries must be submitted before Thursday September 6th at noon [Central Time], two weeks from now.
- You MUST use the image provided.
- You may include as little or as much of the image provided as you'd like and you can even add other images to your work but the girl in the image must be clearly visible somewhere in your entry.
- You may only submit one signature per person. However, you may edit your entry and replace the old with the new as often as you'd like until September 6th.
- Your entry should be no larger then 450x200 pixels and no smaller than 300x100 pixels.
- No inappropriate images or text may be included in your entry.

Feel free to ask questions. Oh and your winner will be picked by other members of the message board. After September 6th, I'll post a voting thread that'll decide the winner from the opinions of the other members.

The winner, I think will recieve a snazzy banner for their sig for being the winner that will say clearly that they are the winner. I'll make the banner myself. And if some one has any other idea of how to reward the winner, I'd love to hear it [through PM].

EDIT: Fixed the link to the pic. Deadline extended for my mistake. Also changed the dimension restrictions since 500x300 is just WAY too big.

Okay, I fixed the link. You should be able to get to it now. I appologize for my mistake and since it was my fault and it took me so long to fix it, I've also extended the contest deadline to the 6th.

No, no, no, no, no. You just make it and insert it into your post. You post it as an image on the page.

That's all you have to do. You don't have to include it in the sig you're using unless you really want to.

CAN I MAKE THE BANNER A LITTLE BIGGER THAN THE SIZE YOU SAID? I WANT TO TRY SOMETHING, AND IT NEEDS A BIT MORE SPACE THEN WHAT THE SIZE HAS TO BE.

Sorry, yin but those are the rules. You could always try scaling your image down a bit to try it but it has to be between 450x200 and 300x100.

You use a programm like Photoshop or PhotoFiltre....

God, I hated rendering that picture.. >>;; The flowing hair was just such a tedious job..

I just erased part of it. -cough-

AT first.. XD I was just going to erase some of it.. and then it was more and more.. >.<.. I spent like a freakin hour on that hair.

Lol, I didn't use much of that pic.......so I didn't have much hair to worry about. ._.;;

I'm using brushes for now........maybe I'll see what I cna do with the filtres later on......

Ah, but you did so well. It's very decorative, it was worth rendering it.

Well, the best thing to do is to be nice with critique. I have nothing to say about it because I think adding something else to it might ruin it. I don't go on graphics forums mainly because I'm still ammature. > >;;
