It began with the first infectant. A 13 year old girl living in an apartment with her 18 year old brother. She bore a deisese with no yet discovered cure. Her brother worked hard to keep her alive and gave her foods that, by theorey, stunted the spreading of the deisese. But it was too late, for she contaminated him and after one year, they both bit humans and spread the virus further, turning people into a mimic of Vampire.
True Vampires called the mimiks vermin and freaks. They were sickened by the stench they gave off. There were several differences between the Vampires and the Freaks. Vampires drank bloood, usually killing their victems. The Freaks were unpredictable. They turned humans and left them.
A hospital was established by the Kalock government for the bitten and toxicated. Anyone who spent even one night in that hospital, you became an experiment. And there was no choice in going or not going. Most people would not willingly spend even a moment in a 10 kilometre vicinty of it.

There are four choices for your character[s] to be. A human, a Scientist, a true Vampire or a Freak/Mimic.
All that is needed in this RPG is co-operation with other characters and the person whom plays them. No killing without permission or god-moding.

Optional Bio- Dr. Harine was never normal. For a science project in the second grade she discovered a way eliminate brain tumors using household products. Since then she's been sought after for this very job, and eventually gave in and took it. She has found that she can prevent contracting the disease by carefully created eyedrops, but she has told no one because the chemicals needed are expensive and hard to come by, and she is afraid that soon her supply would run out if she did. Besides, it wouldn't cure the disease, so why get anyones hopes up? No one calls Dr. Harine by her first name, (which happens to be Hira, although that is none of your business) because she finds that those who do don't take her seriously. She has friends in high places, and is quite corrupted.

Strangely, as much as she wants human blood, when it is within her reach she does not feel the need to take it. She has yet to leave a victim alive, and wonders what has made her this way... (She knows nothing of the disease or her past, but has a distant memory of not being this way.)

Lindus watched the sunrise from the roof of the Kalock city hall. He watched as cars started moving and the rays began to reach his skin. He was not sensitive to light, yet it wasn't enjoyable. He found it a reason to continure to stare.

Rayne jolted from her sleep to her alarm in her ears. She covered them and buried her head. "Stop that dambn beeping!" she wailed and flung the clock off of the nightstand. It shattered. She didn't feel she'd hit it hard. She ddn't know what she was becoming.

As usual Dr. Harine was the first at the clinic. She checked her mailbox... things from her boss, her supply of the poweder... and something from mother. She scowled, casting it into the trash without even thinking about it. But there was something about it that made her unable to supress the odd desire to open it. She shrugged, making sure no one was around, and reached a hand into the dust bin to read the letter. It was written on yellow lined paper. How primitive.
Dear Hira, how are you... She didn't read anymore. She carfully burned the paper and began walking towards the lab, her white coat swinging behind her. She then gave a start and ran to the bathroom, her hand clutching the eyedrops in her pocket.

Iilara wondered what had happened. She had awoke in some old house, with blood splattered on the wall. Without looking around she knew she had caused it. With a smile, she looked at the young couple's bodies. Then she heard voices, and leapt out the window without looking back, doubting she'd remember this particular incedent in a month's time...

Lindus got to his feet as the sun became full, his eyes bloodshot and burning. He rubbed the sun away as he jumped into the shadowed ally. He closed his eyes and slunk down on the wall.

Rayne walked into the washroom and stripped down to nakedness and jumped into the shower. She noticed something dfferent about herself as she washed her bare body. Something seemed more mature about herself than the monthes befor.

Itzal thumbed through his wallet and smiled nervously at the innkeeper, "Just a sec..."

Said innkeeper narrowed his eyes. Just a sec had been about an hour ago. Then it had slowly crept down, and no doubt would continue to be in the distant future for some time, until the strange young man had to allow several other guests to go ahead of him. However, he was proven wrong, and Itzal handed over some very strange looking money.

"What is this?"

The writer smiled, "If I've done my math correctly, that's the equivalent of one week's stay. If the rumors are true, that's all I'll need..."

The innkeeper shoved the money back in Itzal's face, "This isn't any good to me. You're on your own."

Itzal sighed, "Third inn today..." and left to yet again begin his search for a place to stay...

After she had inserted the yellowish drops into her left eye, Dr. Harine again headed toward her private lab. Sitting at her desk. She began. As she pressed buttons on her rather advanced computers she watched as chemicals were dropped over onto a large tray, which eventually started to smoke and bubble. This made her smirk; it seemed exactly like one would have made it look in all the movies she had seen about these things as a child. It never occured to her she wasn't much more than a child. She looked at the button on her desk, which was glowing green. She pressed it. "Cliria," she said to the assistant, "I want a victim in stat... I think this will nullify the virus."
The assistant was shocked, "Really?" she was surprised it could have actually happened.
"Of course," there was a smile in the young doctor's voice, "I doubt the victim will survive, either."

Rayne quickly dressed in a plain black t-shirt and jeans. She grabbed the boxed lunch off the counter and stuffed it in her bag. She ran down the stairs away from the apartment and waited at the bus stop.

A soft sharp wind ripped by Lindus as he walked along the backs of benches in the park. He sang a sng in the Vampiric language. A lullaby that he once sang to hs love.

The pitiful thing was brought in. The girl behind the desk was pleased that she did not have the job of dragging the often muzzled vampires into the testing rooms, and shoving liquids down their throats. Dr. Harine gasped. The guinea-pig of her experiment was younger than she, perhaps only eight years old. She dissmissed this, after all, this was all for the better of mankind, correct? Once again she pressed the green button. "It is to drink. Do not let it touch exposed skin." The nurse looked nevous as she held the sleder vile above the mimics mouth, as high as she could get without touching it. The other's were holding her down.
It seemed that luck was not with the white coated ladies. The one holding the concauction (sp?) lost her balance and spilled some of it onto one of the other women's ungloved hands. How had the imbecile forgotten to wear protective gloves? Although most of the potion made it into the other's mouth, the part that didn't burned a hole clear through a hand, which promptly began gushing blood. With a shriek the left side of the monster was let go, and soon she had bitten all the uninfected humans in the room, and was running at the plexiglass, not realising she couldn't break it because of the special material it was made of. Even so, seeing her trying to cack it was rather frightening for a preteen girl, but as usual she appeared passive. As calmly as she could muster, the doctor walked out of the room and to the phone in the hall. "Attention," it was odd to hear her voice over the loud speaker, "Attention all employees; Do not enter LAB 104, it is in an unstable position. Very unstable." The young thing was frothing at the mouth when she returned. She opened a blank document and began to take notes on the event. Although she was unfazed by this happening, she knew her boss would be anything but pleased.

Itzal sighed and took out a notepad, "Character starts out in hostile territory, nobody's willing to give him a damn box, let alone a room to stay in. His money's no good, the bank claims his money adds up to about a nickel, and the alleged vampires seem to be non-existant..."

Lindus left the park, bored with tipping benches and thinking of the meloncholy and sorrow that was filling his dreadful mind. He boarded a bus that would take him to a school of pretty girls and boys, happy and dumb. He thought playfully of how he could mess arod with those un contaminated minds. But when he sees a man out the window, writing on a notepad, he unboarded and appeared infront of ghim.
"Hello. " He said airly. A tourist? he wondered.

Rayne awaited the bus on the curb, almost falling asleep. She sketched a picture as she waited. She was unfocused on the imaging but on the technigues of her pecil. When she looked at the overall drawing, she was afraid. She set it aside, for the image frightened her. It was an image of a girl that looked similar to herself, foaming at the mouth, spattered with blood, scratching at a sustained window. There was a should and an ear in the picture aswell. This was the scene that took place in the labratory and hospitals of the Kalock study. She dicided not to go to school that morning. she barely went to school anyways. Instead, she boarded a bus to the Kalock labs.

She scowled at her email. The boss wanted her in for a meeting this afternoon. In the words of the woman 'about the mishap.' Not wanting to deal with people, Hira signed out and began walking down a winding road, seeing a man crouching on the road, with someone talking to him. She sighed. She didn't want to deal with this, and walked on.

Rayne stod infront of the labs. She wondered if it was a good idea to enter. She just stod. Silent. Unmoving until the wind pushed her in the back and she stubled in, by fate.

Itzal was broke, hungry, and considering stealing a box for shelter, but he still had his writer's pride. He would not allow a kid probably three years younger than him tell him off... hunger had deprived him of his creativity though... "Listen brat, learn some manners and get to school."

"You're not from around here?" She pointed to the badge on the chest of her coat, brushing one of her braids out from in front of it. Dr. Harine; Disease Specialist "I'm one of the best doctors around, thank you very much. I probably have seen more than you today, if not you whole life." It was clear she was in no good mood.

I walked down the streets that were shaded. Though the sun had no damaging effects on me, it didn't make it a stroll in the park. I sighed and pulled my dark coat closer to my body. I looked around, wondering if there was any young girls to be prayed on.

Itzal sensed inspiration in a nearby man in a dark coat and took off, ignoring the young scientist, after the man...

I signed as she turned over in my bed. Suddenly I realized that my alarm never went off. I jumped up and ran to my dresser falling straight back down to the ground from getting up to fast.
"I am going to be late for school again." I said well scambing to get ready. The idiot principal said he would suspend me if I was late again for school.
I ran out the door not being able to lock the my apartment room door or even have a quick breakfast.

"Damn I already missed my bus." I said running. Knowing a shortcut I ran through a shady alley way. Not paying attention, I ran into a strange looking person.

The doctor scowled, hating to be ignored. But she didn't really care all that much, for the dreadful meeting was fast approaching. Her phone rang, "Hello... what?!" She began running back to the lab as fast as possible, but even in her state of panic did not forget to put something sticky and yellow into her eye.

I walked down the streets of the city in silence. Well, I was silent, but the world around me wasn't. I wasn't in a rush to school, since I'd be there in a couple minutes, and I was on the good side of tall the teachers, so I knew I'd be fine. I only had to worry about getting to school without being attacked.
