Title: What anime do you like/can't you stand?
Description: (Got this idea from Naruto section)
Saku-Tatsuya - December 3, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
Okay this is more of a rant topic:
Anime you can't stand, express it here:
Basically, this is the topic where you can rant and rave on an anime you particularly don't like. As in, you can express your opinion and point flaws of an anime. But do not start flame wars over this; everyone has their own opinion and respect that. Yes, you're allowed to disagree with someone ad state why but please no flame wars. As they say, there is nothing that everyone agrees with; there is nothing that can meet up to everyone's taste. When a new show/new leader or anything like that shows up in the real world, not everyone is going to like it. No matter what, not everyone is going to like the same thing.
Anime you love a lot, express your feelings here:
I'm sure everyone here has an anime that they like. If you love one anime a lot, this is your chance to express it in this topic. However, if someone expresses how much they love the anime and you don't agree with them and you feel the need to quote them then you may but be civilized about it and don't flame everyone. Everybody has a different taste in anime.
Happy posting. <3

I LOVE Samurai Champloo! I havent seen it in a while...but still, it's great, awesome animation, nice plot, GREAT MUSIC.
I don't really like Zachbell [or whatever it is written] oh and Viewtiful Joe.

Death Note is beast besides L dying. :cryriver:
Saku-Tatsuya - December 14, 2007 01:24 AM (GMT)
I love the anime Elfen lied. It's so gory, tragic, funny and yet it managed to bring tears to my eyes.
Now the anime I hate is Inuyasha. It's so typical, cliche', and well overall boring.
anime dragon - December 18, 2007 02:12 PM (GMT)
The anime I can't stand (well, maybe it's the horrible dub) is Battle B'Daman. It's just too childish and nonsense.
My favorites are Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, and Death Note... *can't think of a good reason* ...
Bankotsu 92 - December 19, 2007 01:43 PM (GMT)
I LOVE InuYasha and Bleach
I REALLY can't stand NANA...
Saku-Tatsuya - December 19, 2007 11:33 PM (GMT)
For some reason lately, I've been actually going back to watching Inuyasha (mostly Shichinintai arc) and well, I've got to say that there are actually some good points to this anime that I've never realized before.
But, I still dislike the anime.
<3 And Elfen Lied is by far my favorite so far.
>< But I hate Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni KAI (AKA season 2 of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni) a lot. Well, I know that one is supposed to sum up what happened in the first season but this season was just... how do I put it nicely? The weaker version of the first season. Don't get me wrong, the graphics got better, Satoko and Rika got more involved, yet, this one was just pathetic.
Ending was okay; that I'll admit. But I just didn't like this season to the very core. It kept making me think 'should I fast forward or not?' because most parts were pretty boring (to me at least). I think the ending could have been better but at the same time; it doesnt really need to continue.
Also, don't kill me fangirls, but I've been lately leaning towards MionxKeiichi lately. >< I honstly don't know why but that pairing is somehow appealing to me.
Oshiori - December 31, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
I can like any anime that's involving....Elfen Lied, Green Green, Inuyasha, Naruto, yahda yahda.
The only animes I really hate, are the five episode ones where people fall in love in like 10 minutes. It's so...unnatural and unnrealistic that it peeves me.
Tennis_no_Hime - December 31, 2007 10:38 PM (GMT)
I Love Death Note, Marmalade Boy, Gundam Seed, and Gundam Seed Destiny.
---
*I love Death Note because I love the idea of it. I like how they are trying so hard to catch Kira and everything. I love the fact that Kira is in fact working with them for the longest time! (In denial about Ls death though)
*I like Marmalade Boy because of the drama! It is like a soap opera but despite the fact that it is the epitomy of Cliche, I still love it!
*I like Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny because of the drama, love triangles, and action. I love Kira Yamato because he is just plain AWESOME! I don't like Shinn in 'Destiny' anymore becuase he is super cocky and he had the nerve to shoot down my Kira!!

I have more to add on why I hated KAI so much:
In comparision to the original one, this one was pathetic, appalling, awful, atrocious, horrid, ludicrous and really in short, bad. The first season at least had some thriller to the point where you want to watch all the episodes at once but this one was just awful. Everyone was just pathetic in this season. First we see Rena, Shion, Mion and Keiichi killing those who PESTER them and now they don't really fight back? I'll admit, they actually DID fight back in episodes 14-15ish in KAI and that was it. I thought that the last arc was just laughable; even though they fought back for a bit.
I was expecting something like how Mion or Shion would take Takano down to the dungeons where Satoko was killed (on episode 21, first season) and torture her to death. That would've been wonderful and all but it never happened. Takano by the way was a boring bad guy; your sterotypical beautiful villianess who wants to become a god... or something like that. I cannot count many times that's been used over and over again.
What I couldn't stand about it the most was how each episode was dragging, long and boring. The first season indeed had a lot of dialog but not nearly as much as this one did. Ryukshi (I can't spell his name) must have been disappointed too; since KAI could not capture how the game went in a way that it would impress the game players while they played. The game is a million Xs better then this. Play that and you'll see.
Moving on to Death note;
I honestly don't get why people like this show. Yeah, the graphics and plot are great but the show itself was long, dragging and boring. However, I did like Kira/Light since he basically was the villian and main character; which is a start. And this show is more interesting to watch then Inuyasha, I'll give it that but overall there were things about the show that peeved me off.
First of all, the deaths of the criminals all done by heart attack and the cops try to find out who the killer of them is? That honestly didn't make sense. Yeah, within a few days, sure a bunch of people got heart attacks but that happens in reality. >> With every blink of an eye, someone else also dies of a heat attack quicker then you can imagine. Sure, maybe in their world that looked suspicious but why they couldn't accept it as a coincidence is beyond me.
Meh, my rant of the day.
anime dragon - January 5, 2008 06:41 PM (GMT)
Well, I think that Naruto is very overrated. I mean, it has it's own magazine, it appears on 99% of Shounen Jump covers, and a least 5 Naruto videogames come out each year...
The show just drags on and on too. During the chunin exams, Naruto was complaining about how he wouldn't be able to pass the writen test, for like, 3 episodes strait. And when Naruto was trying to rescue Sasuke from Orochimaru, the battles would take forever to end, and it took like, 20 episodes until they finally meet up with him.

Quite honestly, I don't understand how you can't comprehend the point of the heart attacks. Sure in reality it may be all but a coincidence, but in Death Note it is not. If Kira does not specify the death of the criminal, then it is automatically a heart attack (as in written in the Death Note as a rule). The strange thing though is that all the people he is killing are criminals, and therefore are all linked to one another. Coincidence is not that common. And the heart attacks are NOT a coincidence. So to the point, Yagami Light is trying to kill off all those who have comitted a crime for he is trying to create a better world to live in.
Now, despite you're rant, I don't think you understand the full length of this show/manga. I think you're just raving against the dubbed version (which doesn't put any justice to the japanese one), and I bet you've never read the manga. The plot is quite simple to understand but also very complex. Death Note is basically based on terrorists such as the Taliban and other groups whom exhist in this world. Unlike Inuyasha or Bleach, Death Note is probably the most realist to our position in this world today. And for that, I think you should open up your mind to a better understanding and not bash against shows that you believe are "overated".

I just got tired of the show. I may read the manga someday, since I heard it is better, but I unfourtantly just don't have the money to. Personally, I found it to be quite boring. I do, however, understand that the heart attacks did happen because Kira/Light didn't quite describe how the person was supposed to die. It just bothered me that those people seemed to jump to the conclusion that it was in fact a killer (even though really, it was Kira but still...)
Then again, the manga probably does have a lot more of an explaination then the anime does. But still, I found the series to be quite boring. I am pretty picky nowadays on what I watch/read about. That and I can be pretty opinionative so yeah, I tend to rant about things I don't really like.
As for Inuyasha and Bleach, I don't see whats so great about those either. I used to like Inuyasha. As for Bleach, I'm not going to bother with that anime.
Full Metal Jacket - January 14, 2008 12:18 PM (GMT)
Always Rule:
Manga > Anime
Unless, of course, the anime is an OVA, which therefore is nearly the same to exact.
PS; Viz completely murdered and then chopped the anime into little bits to eat it. That's probably the only one you've seen.
------------------------------------------------------------------
ANYWAYS, BACK ON TOPIC.
Like: Hellsing, Gunslinger Girl, Disgaea[Even if it was short and way off from the game D:] and Trigun.
Weapons ftw.
Cannot stand; Bleach[NEVER ENDING ANIMES FTL.], InuYasha, Naruto.
The only thing I like about Naruto is the Anbu squads. Major asskickage.
But why hate Naruto, you ask? A few reasons, listed below
1) OVERRATED PIECE OF CRAP.
2) I don't care if Shippushit is better or not, it's STILL Naruto.
3) SASUKE IS STILL EMO, DUMBASSES.
4) No decent music, but that's my Metallica side speaking :DDDD (NEEDS MORE 'FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE')
DevilsPet - January 15, 2008 04:34 AM (GMT)
Well, the anime/mangas I really like are:
Death Note
Blood+
Fushigi Yuugi
Naruto
Inuyasha
Excel Saga
Saiyuki
Yu Yu Hakusho
Gundam SEED
NGE
Noeen (SP?)
I can't really explain why I like them. They just entertain me. Though, there's probably more reasons, just can't think of them now.
Right now I can't think of an anime/manga I don't like, but there probably is one.
Rin_Sama - January 23, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
animes that I can't stand:
All these crappy YGO/Pokemon wannabe shows yeah you know which ones I am talking about. Fruits Basket was rather annoying
Saku-Tatsuya - January 23, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
Another anime I can't stand:
Yugioh GX! As a hardcore fan of the original YGO GX is a total disgrace. For one there is barely a plot in the show and secondly half of the characters are nothing but a bunch of cliche anime characters.
Ugh!
IHATEKIKYOU12 - January 24, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
I like...pie...
no seriously though, I don't really look at anime from overrated/cliche/etc. I just look for a plot I can get behind.
Stuff I like:
It's not so much the anime, but the characters that draw me in.
L from Death Note
Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha
Itachi from Naruto
etc. etc. etc.
But overall the one anime I think everyone on here can agree to hate:
Bobobo-bo-bobobo...bo? sp?
what is it anyway?

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!
Michiru-san - January 24, 2008 05:48 AM (GMT)
I like:
NANA
Sailor Moon (despite the total fuckup of the dubbing)
Fruits Basket (manga is better)
Inuyasha (v_v; still intrested...)
Hellsing
Paradise Kiss
I don't like Naruto. It's so overblown and overrated. I have to listen to my friends fight over charecters (Lord help me lol) I tried to watch it but fell off from it. I only watched it for Garra the battle between him and Rock Lee was bad ass, and I loved his sand coffin attack.
Death Note I can't say wheather I like it or not, since I only seen one episode XD
Lady Lilith - January 24, 2008 06:36 AM (GMT)
Sailor Moon
Bleach
Inuyasha
Naruto
Wolf's Rain
I know a lot of people dislike naruto and bleach but it isn't so much the anime as a whole that I like but I like the stories and I am in love with the characters and I can't let go.
Saku-Tatsuya - February 8, 2008 12:32 AM (GMT)
The anime that I truly liked was School Days (Game is better though when it comes to violance and sex scenes though).
For one; it is unlike most harem/love triangle anime. Matoko Itou (the protagonist) is a lot more realistic to how players are in real life; he may have a pretty good personality but he's still a cheater since hes been with more then one girl at a time. And the fact that he began to lose interest in his current one was actually a pretty good plot device and added in the anime/game's originality. Not only that but it did show how some people are when they turn into players. It is not true for everyone; but it is for some.
The ending rocked. Personally it was the best fucking ending any anime could have. At first I thought it was just another highschool drama but then when I watched it to the end it was getting more and more clever with how it was turning out. Unlike most high school anime, this one didn't really have much repetition on every episode.
Rin_Sama - February 9, 2008 07:39 PM (GMT)
I cannot stand Nartuo,

Hmmm I love:
Gravitation
Loveless
Bleach
Sailor Moon
Kyou Kara Maoh
Black Cat
Betterman
Devil May Cry
I hate:
Ninja Nonsense (is complete nonsese and very perverted)
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
Bobobobo(whatever)
My hate list isn't very long though XD
Kaiame - February 14, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Well, I like Ranma 1/2 way more than I should. I mean, the plots so creative, and its, in my opinion, the best manga I've read so far, Though I'm still really pissed off that they canced the anime, even if it was way worse than the manga, just for nudity. Its really retarded that they did that in my opinion. It was a great anime.
InuYasha: Eh. I still love it, but am losing intrest more and more by the day. It just draggs on TOO long.
Mew Mew Tokyo: Sure its preppy, but, hey, when your bored, it comes in handy.
FMA: GOOD. Its a great show, with a great plot, but, comming up to the end, it just started doing nothing but fighting, and it dosn't explain everything clearly enough. You only catch enough to understand just what you need to to get by. I loved that Ed dies at the end of the series though. I love sad things!
Naruto: I hate it. I got into it at one point, and watched 250 some episodes over youtube, but, Really, it drags on so long, its just sad, and, its drawn horribly too. I mean, like, when their on their mission to go get sasuke, they fly. I mean, they have a convo as their hopping from tree to tree, and they fly, staying in the same place, every now and then one of their feel moving down. Their just humans, thats inpossible. The author was to lazy to have them really moving how they should.
Also, everybody loves little emo, the one who I with would go rot in hell like all the other characters.
Yo-Gi-Oh and Yo-Gi-Oh GX: I used to like it, but in the middle, they dropped the plot, it just died, and the anime pretty much kept going on a treadmill, going, but not anywhere. Then, they do this retarded GX thing, and it was even worse. Another great anime down in the gutter.
Oh, and how come theres never any REAL homosexual relationships/ Sure, people pair em up all the time, put its never really in the anime?

I Love:
Fullmetal Alchemist, Air TV, Maburaho, Gokujou Seitokai and Nerima Daikon Brothers. I like Inuyasha too, but I don't think I LOVE it anymore...
FMA-It has the best storyline out of any anime I've ever seen...It's so moving, addicting, sad, and just straight forward great. But I think everyone already knows that... :hehe:
Air TV- FMA is sad, but is nothing compared to the depressing tale of Air. Along with Air TV being beautiful and it's wonderful story a pleasure to watch, the ending will bring tears to everyone's eyes. There are GUYS who have admitted to crying at the end. Highly Recommended.
Maburaho- Before Maburaho, I had never watched a Harem anime before, and was sure it was Hentai after a couple episodes and seeing lots of panties and breasts. But Maburaho is nothing like hentai, (It IS harem though) and it evolves into an anime that will be one of the most fun ones you will ever see. It's pretty clean too...XD
Gokujou Seitokai- A crazy anime with crazy schoolgirls...But don't believe people when they say that GS has Shoujou Ai or Yuri, because it doesn't. A Yuri joke will pop up every so often, but there's nothing explicit. It's pretty funny too, and has some wonderful characters, even though it's not the deepest anime.
Nerima Daikon Brothers- Ok...It's a MUSICAL ANIME! What more could you ask for?! There's a fair amount of adult language and content, but this is probably the most hilarious anime you will ever watch, and since it's a musical, there's lots of songs to enjoy, even though most of them are a bit odd... ^^
I HATE:
Pokemon, Naruto and Fruits Basket... Sorry fans...
Pokemon-It's just plain stupid, and it makes the rest of the anime out there look bad too! Pokemon gives out a bad reputation for anime, and that is NOT cool with me...
Fruits Basket- It just annoys me...and I really wasn't able to get into it, and it's too girly for my tastes...enough said.

There's a fair amount of adult language and content, but this is probably the most hilarious anime you will ever watch, and since it's a musical, there's lots of songs to enjoy, even though most of them are a bit odd... ^^
I HATE: Pokemon and Fruits Basket...
Nerima Daikon Brothers rock!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have met all the main characters except Mako. I had Chris Patton aka Ichiro sign something "So Soft". Go Pandaikon!!! XD

| QUOTE (LadyKikyo3 @ Feb 23 2008, 07:24 PM) | I Love: Fullmetal Alchemist, Air TV, Maburaho, Gokujou Seitokai and Nerima Daikon Brothers.

YES! I thought know one else would know about it. It's become one of my life's dreams to attend an anime convention...I especially wanna meet Vic Mignogna and Chris Patton... :daydream:
I wouldn't mind not meeting 'Mako' yet...I find her a bit obnoxious. Yet I think she's pretty, and she has an awesome outfit. But I LOVE Ichiro! x3 I'm also impressed that they were willing to dub NDB. It's gonna be hard translating it in the first place, but to translate and write lyrics for an anime musical must have been just awful...XD But the english is actually pretty decent! There's a lot of fans who actually prefer it. I myself like both.
"Little Panda got me goin'... Fluffy Fluffy Tooshy Showin'...
Lookin' like a nipple waggin'...
I've got nipples too..."
HA HA HA! :victory:
