I'm actually planning on getting both games considering how much I love pokemon games.
I am having a hard time choosing which to buy so I'mma go get both versions just to see which is better.

I just got this game two days ago and I've got to say that I have mixed feelings over Diamond (my sister got pearl). The game still has it's classic 'gotta catch em all' which is a good thing but at the same time a bad thing. After playing Sapphire, LeafGreen and a few other pokemon games, the beginning to this game was a bit cliche. However, it was a nice change to see that you get two friends (Lucas/Dawn and Barry... well I called him Landon) and only one of them is competitive with you (well, that has been done before but a pokemon game is never complete without a rival of some sort... right?) wereas Lucas/Dawn on the other hand does participate with you in double battle a few times, which is fairly fun.
However, the story of the game does get a bit hard to follow at times. But it's a damn good thing that characters actually explain things a soon as possible, otherwise I would've gotten bored with the game very quickly. The plot is fairly developed so far which makes up for those hard times to follow. (I always look at story of the game first before playing, just so I have a rough idea of whats going on.)
Anyways, I do like the fact that this game truly gives you the same feeling you'd get as you probably did when you played your first pokemon game. It gave me that same happiness I had when I played pokemon Sapphire when I was twelve. What I am hoping is that I don't get as disappointed in the ending as I did with Sapphire. Playing this game gave me that same childlish happiness which is what got me overjoyed. LeafGreen did give me a lot of happiness playing it but just not the same one as Sapphire and Diamond did.
The game is very fun to play. You meet interesting trainers, people and the villians rock. Especially Team Galactic boss, he was just the perfect villian for the story as Archie and Maxie were for PKMN RS. Again, that gave me the same good feeling that I got while playing Sapphire.
The only thing that bothered me about this game was how easily the Gym Leaders were defeated. My pokemon would only be higher in level then the gym leader's and they were still able to K.O them. I don't know if anyone else had to notice this but I sure did. Maybe it's just me though. I do like the fact that there's always something happening as soon as you earn a new badge so that's off the hook.
Now if I were to rate this out of 15 then I'd give it a 13.
5/5- Music (exellent)
3/5- diffiulty (It would be about medium)
5/5- Graphics (Awesome)

I haven't gotten too far in Diamond, but I think the DS controls are a little confusing. Well, it's probably because I've only had it for a couple of days...

What's the rock climbing move thing?
And how do you get it?
I'm stuck there... So I gave up on my game..

You people know that town with the daycare; right? And then there's the little girl that goes all "I'm too little to take care of my pokemon so that nice lady is taking care of them for me." and she's looking into the daycare. My question is; should she really be looking in there since eggs ussually result when two pokemon of the oppisite gender are put in? Espeically with the things she would probably be seeing?

There was a topic about it on the Game FAQs forums when someone pointed that out and here was the script.
Little girl: I'm too little to raise pokemon so I left mine with the nice daycare lady.
Trainer: I left my lucario and Gardevior there too.
Little girl: Is that them over there?
Trainer: Yes
Little girl: What're they doing? Why is Gardevior moaning? Is it hurt?
Trainer: Uhhh.... .__.
Little girl: Why are your pokemon acting so weird?
Trainer: uhhhh O.o;;
Little girl: did lucario just stick his pe-
Trainer: I'm going to bring them home now.
xDD I laughed when I read the script and it did kinda open my eyes to that thought. o.O
And Edit/// Who was the idiot that concluded that Lucario is a legendary?
