Title: "Do You Like Kids?"

sangorules - December 8, 2007 02:16 AM (GMT)
This is a random story I came up with on my way home to day.

.........................

"Do you like kids?"
I looked at her oddly.
Willow and I have been friends since I moved to this town. I was an orphan living by myself and she was an orphan with an adopted father who was our History teacher. I think the fact that we were such good friends right away was because we both were alone.
Anyway, Willow and I were now in college. I was her male homosexual friend that could keep a boyfriend, while she was the heterosexual girl with the guy of her dreams.
A little earlier today, Willow called me on my cell phone, crying. I asked her what was wrong and she asked if she could stop by my dorm. I told her I'd go to hers, but she said her boyfriend was there and she'd rather just talk to me. So I agreed.
I waited about ten long minutes. I think I spent the time brushing my teeth, 'cause my mouth tasted like mint.
Now, she's sitting beside, her face red and puffy from crying. "Do you like kids?"
"Um.... in a pedophilia way or non pedophilia way?" I asked, very confused.
"Non, you moron."
"Oh, sure. But if they're anything like me when I was a kid, I'm sending them to a therapist right away."
"Allen, you weren't that messed up."
"Ah, but I was messed up."
She glared at me, so I closed my mouth. They didn't stay closed very long though. "Why do you ask."
"I'm pregnant."
At first, I didn't understand the words. They just weren't in my vocabulary. Then, they started to make sense. Pregnant.... I learned about it in health class. Then, I realized that Willow, my best friend, was pregnant. "Oh."
"Oh? That's all you have to say! Oh!" She said, more shocked then I was. "I thought you were going to say, 'What, did you forget protection?' or 'Geez, I told he was no good.'"
"Sorry... Next time I'll react badly just for you."
"God! I can't understand you sometimes, Allen! How can you be some calm!" She shouted.
"I guess it's because I know the kid is going to have two amazing parents that'll always care about him." I said, smiling at her.
She stopped looking shock. A smile crept onto her face. Tears started to fall out of her eyes. She looked at me, and I knew she was saying thank you, even if there were no words.
"Allen, will you be baby's god-father?" Willow asked, quietly.
"Do you even need to ask? The kid's going to need someone to teach them everything not to do, then say not do it."
We both smiled at each other, just like we had when we were sixteen, on the first day we met.

...................

I have no idea were this came from, but hey, it's fun to read. The characters aren't really based off anyone I know and I don't know anyone currently pregnant, so this has got to be the most random thing I've ever written. But I hope you enjoyed it.

Nice plot ^^ Though it has some errors, and is there going to be a second chapter/post?

sangorules - December 8, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
No. It's a short story. And I wouldn't be surprised if there were mistakes. xDDDD I'm not the most brilliant writer.
