Well, let me first say that I put this topic HERE because it is a general discussion.

Anyways, if you feel the need that you don't feel like reading my little rant, then don't bother posting. Post only when you understand what I'm saying and don't try to put words in my mouth just so that you can be the right person and I'm the wrong. Honestly, it'll just show that you are pretty stupid. Anyways, on to the rant...

I am not going to give away any usernames; so don't bother asking to know who this person is. The best you can do is guess. However, after this rant, if you go on DeviantArt very often, you should know right off the back who I'm talking about. And if you still don't, well then I have no clue what to say to that. In short, do not ask for the username of this member for she has already been through enough crap on the internet.

So this is a member who is an artist. Just like any other artist on DeviantArt, she posts up her drawings. Drawing is her personal hobby. Most of her drawings involve snake people; they're very cute drawings. She actually has fans of her drawings who adore her artistic skills. The only flaw with her is that she simply cannot take constructive criticism when given to her.

No, I am not going to rant over the fact that she cannot take constructive criticism. Anyways, so time passes by and she goes to ConceptArt where some people gave her true constructive criticism and others just had to plain out bash her for her style. At first, I thought of this as nothing but then things over in this member's topic turned into a total flamewar. Hell, some people over there were making themselves the victims when they got suspended. That was something I found to be pretty immature.

Of course this member runs back to DeviantArt and ranted about ConceptArt. That was when some EDiots on Encyclopediadramatica thought it would be funny to make an article about this member. So they did for the 'epic lulz'. Around that time, people began to post wall of texts on this member's page over how she never improved or how she should stop drawing the way she does and do someone else's style. Naturally, this member blocked all those comments. But more and more people came just to bash the hell out of her.

In my personal opinion, this whole thing is just stupid. I may not be a huge fan of this member's art but I think the whole article was just plain out stupid and very, very immature. Just goes to show how some people on the internets are assholes for no specific reason. I like ED and all but that article was one of those that I consider 'crap' and most of the information on that article is very irrealivant to what this member does and says. All it is basically is just giving everyone an excuse to go flame this member. Not only that but it's also sickening to even think anyone would have such the nerve to go and make an entire article on a popular website about ONE PERSON.

Some of you by now should at least have a little hint of who I am actually talking about.

Anyways, that's the end of my wall of text. I doubt any of you have read it though.

I dunno who this member is, or have ever seen her deviantart...but I read all the way through that and just felt like posting up my opinion of the matter...*is bored* ^^

I agree that it was immature of them...but isn't it also a little immature of the artist too? I think she could have done some things differently, and in the end, maybe not of created such a mess....but it was also immature of the people at ED to do something so stupid as to create an article on it. People are sensitive to what happens on the internet (IJ is proof of that) and they are sensitive to criticism...especially if they never asked for any in the first place.

all in all...it was kind of stupid on both parts...but what's happened has happened....I hope the artist is okay after all of that though.

I really hope she is okay as well. I did post on her page and told her what I thought of the situation and hoped that it at least made her feel somewhat better. She claims she's leaving the internet though.

that's sad. Is she really young? (you don't have to give me her exact age, I was just wondering)

well...in the end I hope she'll come back later, knowing that this could make her a stronger person, and a little bit more mature if she is young.

She's about sixteen or so last time I checked. I feel really bad for her.

aw...that's sad. I guess 16 isn't that young...but still, I feel bad too....especially since you guys tried to help her out.

Yeah, me and like ten other members on DeviantArt tried to help her out.
I would give her the link to this forum but I don't think I should because I know there are people here who would yell at her for her grammar and such. She's a nice girl really so I'm not going to stress her out over this site.

true....but IJ has sort of fallen out of those categories too.....from what i have seen, most people post in the spam section, post up fanarts/fanfictions, and they come here to roleplay. Not too many people post in the anime sections anymore....and that makes me quite sad. I'd like to have a discussion about things going on in certain animes with more than the usual people.

I've been telling people lately to move away from Candyland; but so far they have not listened.
