Hello, i'm new to this site, and i recently found out that there are quite a number of people who hate Kikyo. I am a kikyo lover and i dun really understand why ppl hate her.

Can someone enlighten me?

ok..im a kikyou hater so are my sisters so i will tell you why some people hate kikyou(not just me)
1. she is kinda boring..just the way she talks pisses me off
2. she is a walking dead..and every time she is killed she lives again
3.some kagome lovers hates her because inuyasha loves her more than kagome
4.she is hard to undestand ..you can never tell in which side is she
5.they show gives her a big deal of importance >>more than needed i should add
i know that none of this is her falt(wich most kikyo lovers think) but i dont really care if its her falt or not..i dont like her

I just hate Kikyou because the episodes with her in it are usually boring-ass fillers xD

I don't like either her or Kagome.

My reasons for not liking Kikyo very much:

To me, the way she is now resembles the ways of an 'angst Mary sue'; and she's a freaking canon character. I don't HATE her, I just dislike her. Does that woman really need to feel sorry for herself 24/7? Okay, she doesn't go and say it but she always seems to loathe herself a lot to the point where it is frustrating. What I think she needs to do is find someone else to love her.

My reasons for not liking Kagome:

Okay, I know that she isn't meant to be but she is the most frustrating character on the show, in my opinion. The fact that even in the manga she never finishes most of her statements and goes all "Inuyasha..." randomly is what really pisses me off a lot. Yes, she has said full sentences before but she does not finish most of them and it seems like she speaks for the sake of speaking. If you're as hotheaded as I am; then you'd be bound to be frustrated as well. I also don't like her for the fact that she is also like a 'Helpful Mary-Sue' which is a sue that always seems to be of great help 24/7 but when they get kidnapped they're almost helpless. That and they have a lot of spotlight. The show may as well be called "Kagome".

Sorry if I had offended any of you; I'm just voicing why I don't like either of them.

I don't really hate Kikyo. I do like her because I think she was a cool character, back in the day when she was living and all. Now, I'm just pretty much neutral about her. Besides, I think Kagome and Inuyasha make a cuter couple.

Well, she's way better than Kagome for sure.

Like her because of how strong she was despite how much she endured. Also she's the most beautiful woman in the series.

lol, i'm glad there are at least some Kikyo lovers here. Most of the fanfic i read seems to portray Kikyo as a slut...

Well, there are different opinions for sure...
For example, I think Kagome is way more beautiful than Kikyo...I prefer Sango to her too...However, Kikyo isn't strong enough to forget the past, and she's really boring to me...As I said, they are all opinions...

but its the inside beauty that matters

My name is quite misleading ever since, (SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER: ...You all who have read so far know what I mean.) I haven't really hated her. Infact...no, you know what, I don't hate her, but I don't like her. That's basically it.

Well, I'm neutral about Kikyou. I only like her because she is quite powerful, and quite intelligent. Although, st times she becomes stupid and wrecks everything. At times, she ruins everything....Although, at times, she helps. Although that's not very often >_>

Now, about Kagome, she's quite annoying. She's kinda helpful, yet kinda helpless...

Hmm I think I admire Kikyo for her Perseverance, Rage, and Strength, but I also hate her for ruining things between Kagome and Inuyasha . I am sorry but you can NOT argue that some reanimated clay with a little piece of Kikyo's soul mixed with billions of random dead girls souls is better for Inuyasha than a normal teenage girl.

I am gonna need to to disagree with some previous statements... I do admire Kikyo for her inner strength referring to the fact that she hasn't just gone off the deep due to the emotional stress that she has endured but she is far from the strongest character. If she were strong enough to get over Inuyasha and move on with her "life" I would have 999 times more respect for her.

I am not a huge fan of Kikyou, she gives me the creeps both when she was alive and resrected. I don't even like Kagome for cryn out loud I just want to see Inuyasha settle down with someone besides those two!!!!

Kikyo would get more respect from me if she would just die and/or leave everyone else alone.

She already dies finally in the manga! Thank God for that!!!! Inuyasha holds her tight as she dies in his arms Inuyasha starts to cry yadda yadda yadda!!!!

OMG YAY! I'm not the only one who thinks Kikyo should move on and love someone else! And there is this one crack pairing that I do like that had seemed appealing lately. KikyoxSuikotsu; mainly for the sake of Kikyo getting over Inuyasha. I did read one good fanfiction about that pairing that took place in an alternate universe. I haven't even reached the ending yet but I expect to someday.

x3 I remember this one time in one of my notebooks I wrote a funny story over how Inuyasha chooses some guy over Kagome and Kikyo. I kinda wished that happened.

I really wish that it did happen so that Kikyo may have been a happier person with him. His bi polar personality shouldn't get in the way since in the anime she did manage to tame his Shichinintai half!

I'm a Kikyo Hater and heres why...

It all gets started when she first saw Inuyasha. Inuyasha and Kikyo Started liking each other, well I kinda think Inuyasha almost fell for Kikyo's trap (Until Naraku messed things up) as she wanted him to turn human with the jewels so she can no longer have the responsibility to protect them from other demons. I really doubt that Kikyo had any feelings for him. Shes a user just like naraku. Both of Kikyo and naraku would be a good pair.

If Kikyo truly loved Inuyasha, she would not had even mention about him turning into a human with the jewels, she would accept him for who and what he is.

I'm not a kagome fan, however I don't hate her. I can say that shes almost like Jaken in the overly depended on stronger individual department.. I believe Kagome does love Inuyasha, however she doesn't truly trust him... I mean why does he still have those beads on his neck? Their nothing but a remote control to control poor inuyasha when he does something that princess Kagome doesn't like.

well I cant think of anything else about the two characters. I'm about to go to bed, it's WAY pass my bedtime!

Yay; so I'm not the only person who thinks that the beads are pointless. They seem to be there just for comic relief but they're not even funny anymore. :/

Kikyo's just boring and she even has a boring tone of voice but I guess the show benefits from the character because she's in a love tripod with the main character, I don't like her but at least she isn't ditzy like kagome and she's more skilled with her 'priestess power' than kagome too.

I love Kikyo she is my favourite female character, she's pretty and all, apart from the fact that she goes with Inuyasha lol :P
