Does no one care about the true purpose of IJ anymore? It seems that the more new members come in the more they think they can spam and break the rules and frankly its seriosuly not working for me.

I personally don't think people care all that much anymore. I've tried to get people to see that; but so far only very few people listened.

I swear. I'd just like to know how many of us escape to the computer to get away from family problems or life problems or anything like that. I know I do. IJ used to be a place where I could express my imagination (in writing) and share idea's with people and make friends to talk to. Now this place is like spam central and no one gives a damn, everyone feels the need to flame other people's opinions and thoughts

I'm mostly trying to keep fights from breaking out, but I'm also got things going on in real life as well.

We understand that fully. We just don't want this place to be torn down any more then it is...

I actually want this board to improve.

Indeed it is. We all need to start now taking a pro-active role in making this place better and bringing it back to its former glory. We need some ideas on how.

I'd say encourage people to move away from Candyland but that should be saved for last.

I love Saku's Idea. There should be a writing contest and a reward if someone wins...Just so people could get motovated

Well lots of people come to IJ to have fun and get away from the stress of life. And its quite hard when people are flaming you for an opinion.

AM THE ONE THAT FLAMES THE PEOPLE FOR THEIR OPINIONS....

And it probably will eventually become a distraction for many others. And hell, maybe a lot more people will be active here.

I also think that if we somehow motivate everyone to get out of spamming this place up then I very well think that it'll be a huge start.

I think by fixing this place up that would make everything ok again. it will take time but I suppose this will be my new years resolution.

I wish Ms. IJ would at least give her power to someone who'll be around, or at least give someone else power over Candyland. But we all know the chance of that happening, right? >.<

It takes an entire board to make one become better. And if it takes us all of 2008 to make this board better; so be it then. I'm prepared for getting flamed for doing this and having people go all "there's no hope for this board." But there is still hope as long as there are people who still come to this board. And who knows? Perhaps some people will open their eyes and realize that they can only bitc.h about this board if they actually help this board to improve rather then to decline.

I'm with Saku. Were gonna work hard and get things back to the best of normal. I dont care if I get banned by Miss IJ herself. I'm going to send her PM's constantly so that she'll understand how important this is.

I think I heard someone once say that the admin or something can change the number of posts a person has, but I'm not entirely sure about that. If it's true, all we'd have to really do is move our topics.

That'd solve one big problem in my eyes because the admin could get more mods also, we really need some more.

I like the mods we have but I agree we need more.

Sure, the admin can give you the same rank, but the topics and actual posts will have to be left behind.

Plus, as new forums tend to sadly to die stillbirth or soo after.... may end up with two halves, dead.

Same for me. All replies and such will not be quite the same on the New IJ; and I doubt anyone will read it. But then again; maybe some people will take it as a chance to catch up?
