Sango_theDemon_slayer1 - January 4, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
Thoughts of him haunted her mind as she sat on the edge of the well taking one final look at this moment in time, the time she would never visit again. It was only days ago that they shared their love for each other in these very woods, and only hours ago that she lost him forever. Kagome, InuYasha, and the others the night before had finally discovered Naraku’s hideout and prepared for the long battle to come.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“InuYasha I can’t hardly wait its not long before we are finally free of Naraku and have all the jewel shards!” she smiled at him.

“Yup Kagome you're right and then after we’re done here, me and you will be able to start a life together.” He said cupping the side of her face. It had been quite some time since he decided he wanted to be with Kagome and not Kikyo.

“Do you promise?” She asked with a soft smile and had a small tear in her eye. He leaned in and kissed it away.

“I promise.” He said with no doubt what’s so ever in his voice.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tears filled her eyes as she recalled that wonderful moment. ‘How could he!?’ she mentally cursed. ‘How could he leave me like this?’ She felt her heart brake all over again. ‘How could he break his promise to me?’ She was breaking down with huge tears running down her face. She heard a noise and looked over towards where it came from and saw Sango emerge from within the trees. She wiped away her tears.

“Kagome are you leaving?” she asked in a shaky voice.

“Yeah I am?” she said in barely a whisper.

“Are you coming back?” she asked on the brink of tears as she thought of never seeing her best friend again.

“I… I don’t think so Sango.” She said in an equally shaky voice. Sango couldn’t hold it in any longer she burst into tears and so did Kagome.

“You weren’t even going to tell us either?” Sango asked heart broken.

“I wasn’t going to tell you because I didn’t want this to happen!” Kagome snapped.

“Fine if we aren’t worth even a simple goodbye then leave, just leave and don’t ever come back!” Sango yelled and ran back into the woods towards Kaede’s hut. Kagome went back to the edge of the well, took one final look around and hopped in. with a flash of blue light she was gone, forever…

For the next few weeks she went on with life as best she could but everything reminded her of him, even looking at he cat reminded her of her beloved half-breed. At school her friends tried to cheer her up but with no prevail. Once she returned home she went strait to her room, did her homework and went to sleep. Of course she went down for dinner and went and took baths but she isolated herself from her family after she told them why she had returned. Now and then she would sneak out at night and go to the well house and contemplate going back and reconcile with Sango and the others but always decided not to because in order to get to Kaede's hut she would have to pass that damn tree. The tree she had released him from. The Sacred Tree.

At school a few days later she was sitting in her math class and she wasn’t paying much attention to her teacher. A young boy walked into her class and turned almost all the girls heads. The mysterious boy handed the teacher a slip of paper. The teacher cleared his trout and Kagome snapped back to attention and looked at the boy. She felt like she was going to faint. He was the spitting image of InuYasha except he had shaggy brown hair but that was basically the only difference.

“Everyone we have a new student, his name is Kenton Inushisa, he is our new student.” Kagome raised her hand because she felt like she was going to be sick.

“Yes Kagome?” the teacher asked.

“May I… May I go to the bathroom?”

‘Yes you may. Oh why don’t you show kento around while you’re out.” The teacher smiled.

She nodded her head feeling even sicker. “Ok.” She walked out the door and Kento followed.

“Hey what’s up I’m Kento obviously, what’s you're name? he asked with a smile on his face. ‘Oh my god he is so much like InuYasha, he even smiles like he did’.

She swallowed down her feelings so she could politely answer him. “I’m Kagome Higurashi.”

“That’s a nice name, so how long have you come to school here?”

“Um this is my second year here although I’ve missed a lot because I’m very sick almost all the time but I’m better now.” Did she really just spill that much info to this complete stranger?

“Oh uh that’s good that you're better.” He said with a charming smile on his face.

Kagome showed him the whole school and barely said a word to him because she was afraid she would vomit. Thank goodness by the time she was done the final bell rang because she needed to go home and talk to the one person who would understand. Sango.

Kagome stood at the well on her family’s shrine. What would Sango say when she say her? Would she be mad, happy, burst into tears? She decided to just do it she jumped into the well. As she reached the other side she climbed out of the well and walked into the forest. And there it was that tree. She swiftly ran past it and into the village. She saw Miroku standing near Kaede's hut and walked over to him. He was faced the other way and didn’t notice her.

“Hey you” she said in a meek voice. He jumped and turned around and his eyes grew big and a smile spread across his face.

“Kagome how are you?” he asked giving her a great big hug. She smiled for the first time in a few months.

“I’m good how are you?” she asked

“I am good we have all missed you” he said with a small smile.

“How is Sango” she asked shyly.

‘She’s in the hut go see her Kaede will be back soon she is out with Shippo” he said pointing at the hut. Kagome nodded and went into the hut to find Sango cooking stew. Sango looked up and smiled so big.

‘Kagome, oh how I have missed you!” she stood up and pulled Kagome into her warm embrace. As they pulled away she saw Sango’s stomach was huge.

“Sango is this Miroku’s baby?” Sango smiled again and nodded her head. Kagome leaned down and spoke to her stomach.

“hey little baby how are you, I am you're auntie Kagome.” Sango laughed and then became very serious.

“Kagome why did you come back?” Sango listened as Kagome told her all about these past few months and then about Kento and how he looked exactly like InuYasha and Kagome left nothing untold.

“Oh I see. So you’re beginning to have feelings for Kento?” Sango asked.

“No…. well yes... I mean not rally we just met… I don’t know.” She said ever so confused.

“I see. Well Kagome maybe you should just get to know him and see what he is like maybe he was sent to you to help you get over InuYasha.” Sango stated profoundly. Kagome nodded her head. Maybe Sango was right after all you could never have to many friends. Kagome knew her heart would never full heal but she knew it would certainly allow others in it. Kagome said goodbye to her friends and walked home to the well. She stopped in front of the sacred tree and looked at for a moment. She then walked up to it ant and kissed the bark in which her lover had once lay dormant upon. She then walked to the well and jumped in. as she got to the other side she went inside and went to do her homework then maybe tell her mom about her day.

The next morning Kagome woke up feeling like a weight had been lifted off of her. She got ready for school and then went down stairs for breakfast.

“Good morning mom!” she said with a smile on her face.

Well you're sure look like you're feeling better.” Her mother said relieved that her daughter was finally getting over what had happened.

“I am feeling better.” She said as she began to eat. After breakfast she helped her mom clean the kitchen then went to school she began to think of him, oh how she missed him, but today she wasn’t as upset as she usually was whenever he came to mind. Of course her heart still felt like it was in a million pieces and then like it had been stepped on but yet… She just couldn’t explain. As she arrived on her school campus she walked into the building and then to her first class. As she took her usual seat she felt some one tap her shoulder. She turned around and found Kento smiling at her.

“Hey I wanted to thank you for helping me out yesterday.” He said with an adorable smile on his face, InuYasha’s adorable smile. A lump formed in her throat before she could answer. She found her composure and smiled at him.

“You're welcome, um would you mind… hanging out with me for the day… I felt kind of bad for not really being that friendly yesterday?” he looked completely thrilled.

“Uh sure, to be honest I was going to ask you the same thing for the same reason.” At that moment the teacher walked in and the class turned their attention to him. Class went on for about 40 more minutes and then the bell rang and Kento and Kagome walked out of the class together.

“so uh… um… how are you liking it here so far.” Kagome asked shyly.

“It’s ok I haven’t really adjusted yet but the girls here are better looking than the ones I used to go to school with.” He gave a coy smile at Kagome and she bushed deep red. They walked to their next classes and then at the end of the day were getting ready to say their goodbyes.

“Thanks for hanging out with me today I don’t think I could have made my way around without you.” He laughed.

“No problem.” She went to give him a hug but he was some what taller than her and caught her chin with his hand and kissed her on her lips. For a moment she was in shock then realized what happened and just wasn’t ready. She pulled away from him and ran. Ran strait to her house and up into her room. As she closed the door she began to cry huge heavy tears. ‘he even kisses the same way.’ She thought to herself.

“Oh InuYasha what is it you want me to do?” she asked out loud. She lay down and curled up on her bed crying the hardest she ever had before.

Sango_theDemon_slayer1 - January 9, 2008 06:32 AM (GMT)
Kagome woke up and saw she was in the middle of the forest. She sat up and saw some one standing near a tree to the right of her. She immediately recognized the person to me InuYasha. She jumped to her feet and ran up to him.

“InuYasha is that you?” she asked beginning to cry. He nodded his head and he put his had on her face. She broke down into a sob. “InuYasha is this a dream?” he nodded again. She cried even harder.

“Kagome I know about Kento.” He said some what sad.

“I swear I didn’t do anything with him.” She choked out between sobs.

“Kagome, I know. Please don’t be sad any more, I’m better off now and I thought you should know, that Kento is my re-incarnation just like you're Kikyo’s.” he said in a neutral tone of voice. She looked up at him in some what of a shock. How could she not have thought of that? “I know you think I abandoned you but things didn’t turn out how I wanted them to. The reason I had to come and talk to you in you're dream is because I want you to make the right choice with Kento.” She was taken back completely.

“InuYasha are you telling me to be with Kento?” she was so confused.

“Kagome this is you're choice, I’m not telling you to be with him or keep away from him, but I did need for you to realize my body is gone from you now but my soul will be with you if it is what you want.” He leaned down and kissed her on the lips the same way he did just before he died.

Kagome shot up in her bed and was breathing heavily. Her head was so clogged with info that she needed to vent it out to someone and so she decided to go see Sango. Outside the sun was setting and the sky was a mixture of orange and pink. Kagome climbed into the well and ran to Kaede's hut. She heard screaming coming from the hut and saw Miroku sitting near the river. She decided just to go into the hut and see what was going on. She walked in and was shocked to see Sango in labor with her child and Kaede helping deliver it. Kagome rushed to Sango’s side and took her hand for support. She gave a few more pushes and then the room was filled with the sound of baby cries.

“It is a boy.” Kaede announced. Miroku burst thought he hut entry.

“A boy?” he asked. Kaede nodded and handed the baby to Miroku and he stared at him. “He is so handsome.” Sango and Kagome chuckled.

“Oh and don’t forget about this one.” Kaede said holding up a little girl. Miroku’s eyes grew wide in amazement and so did Sango’s.

“Am I a man or what!?” Miroku said in a manly voice.

“When did she come out?” Sango asked.
“The last push, the boy only started to cry when she did that’s why you didn’t realize you had her.” Kaede said.

“Wow.” Kagome said very surprised

“Miroku what are we going to name them?” Sango asked him. He looked dumbfounded.

“Kimila and Kenjo.” Kagome whispered softly.

“Those are beautiful names Kagome. If you don’t mind I would like to use them?” she asked.

“Go ahead.” Kagome said.

“well Sango look at it this way we only have to have 18 more kids before we reach our goal!” Miroku expressed with a smile. Sango shot him a death glare and Kagome laughed.

This chapter is dedicated to kag_inu_4_ever!!!!!

After staying a while to help Sango, Kagome knew it was time to go home. She walked down thru the forest and found her way to the well. Once she got home she went to her room and lay on her bed thinking of her dream. She touched her lips with her fingers to her mouth and thought of InuYasha then some one else found their way to her mind. It was Kento, she smiled knowing that even though he had a different body, it was still InuYasha.
The next morning Kagome woke up and did the same think she did every morning. As she left for school she saw some one standing at the front of her families shrin. She recognized the shaggy brown hair. He noticed her and walked over to her.

“Hey Kagome I’m sorry about yesterday.” He said with a sad face.

“I’m sorry to I should have told you that I wasn’t quite ready for anything like that, instead of running off the way I did.” She said regretting yesterday.

“If you don’t mind, why aren’t you ready?” he asked genuinely curious. Kagome swallowed audibly and spoke.

“My boyfriend recently died and to be honest you look so much like him it scares me.” She looked away afraid of what he might say next.

“Hey can I tell you something?” he asked. She nodded her head. ‘well when I was younger my grandmother used to tell me stories of my ancestors I remember her saying their name was Sango and Miroku, well she told me stories of them traveling with a half-demon, a priestess and a fox demon…” Kagome swallowed hard. “My grandma described the half-demon as: stubborn, hard headed, and a wonderful friend. Then she told me when I was a bit older that the half-demon and the priestess were in love and one day in the heat of battle he was killed, and she was so devastated she ran away and was never heard from again. The reason I’m telling you this is because I think I am a re-incarnation of that half-demon.” Kagome went white as a sheet.

“Kento if I told you something I have never told any one before would you believe me?” she asked looking at the ground.

“Of course.” He said smiling at her.

“Kento I… I am the priestess and the half-demon, InuYasha was my boyfriend who got killed.” She swallowed one last time and looked back up at him. His face looked like stone.

“I should have known… I should have known you would make fun of me! I kept those a secret all my life and I thought I could trust you but I guess I was wrong.” He stormed away leaving Kagome standing there stunned. What had just happened? She spilled her biggest secret to a complete stranger and he had the nerve to say she was lying? She wasn’t going to school today that was for certain. She turned around and ran back to her house and into her room. She was so angry she didn’t know what to do, she wasn’t mad at Kento, he was a stranger why should her believe her? No she was angry with herself for thinking she could trust him. She needed to sleep so that she could dream of InuYasha again this way she could ask his advice and maybe get another one of his delicious kisses she was missing so much…

Kagome woke later that day realizing she didn’t dream. She got up from her bed a little upset and decided she was going to spend the rest of the day in the feudal era with Sango and her babies. Kagome first went to the store and bout ‘ninja food’ that she knew the others liked. She also bout diapers, rash cream just in case, baby powder, and a few baby outfits for Kimila and Kenjo. She paid and went to the well and jumped in. once she got to Kaede’s hut she went in to find only Kaede sitting down and cooking stew.

“Lady Kaede where are the others?” Kagome asked.

“They are over at their own hut. Miroku has been building it for some time now. I was just making stew to take over there.” She said gathering bowls and the pot the stew was in.

“Oh well I’ll walk over with you.” She gapped a few of the things and they headed over to Sango’s new hut. When they walked in it was the same as Kaede's only a but larger to accommodate the babies. They all greeted each other, Kagome gave Sango all the supplies she bout and showed Sango how to use them. After they all consumed Kaede's stew they began to chat.

“So Kagome what brings you here today?” Sango asked rather curiously. Kagome told the whole story and even the part where Kento yelled at her. Sango listened tentatively and then spoke again after hearing the story. “Kagome- I’m so sorry. You gave away you're darkest secret and he didn’t believe you. Well give him time maybe he will realize you're telling the truth. Go home Kagome and then talk to him.”

“Thank you Sango you always know what to do. Ok I’ll be off now.” She gathered her things and left. She walked back to the well and stopped at the Sacred Tree. She decided to stop and sit for a moment. She sat down and leaned against the bark. She recalled the very first time she talked to InuYasha. That was when she was being attacked by mistress centipede. As she thought she heard a voice.

“Its you're fault you know.” A cold voice said. “He is gone because of you.” It said again. Kagome opened her eyes and saw Kikyo standing in front of her.

“W…what did you say?” Kagome felt the tears.

“InuYasha is gone because of you. If you had just stayed in your own time this never would have happened.” She said in her usual annoying tone.

“I- I don’t see how that is.” Kikyo rolled her eyes.

“If you had never released InuYasha from the tree all of this never would have happened. In a way you are the one who killed him.” Kagome couldn’t see anymore because she had so many tears in her eyes, that and the fact she was mad out of her mind. How dare her say these things to me! How dare she assume I am to blame? But then again she is right I am to blame.’ She let the tears stain her face and the ground beneath her. Finally Kagome got an idea. She was only mad because InuYasha picked her over Kikyo.

“You're only mad because InuYasha decided he would rather live and have children with me instead of go to hell with you.” Kagome smirked at her revelation. Kikyo’s face filled with rage and her eyes burned with hate.

“He was mine in the first place! I was the one he was supposed to love! And after all you're just an imitation of me!” Kikyo raised her arrow and was prepared to shoot it. When the arrow was released from the bow something happened that it was all a blur to Kagome. The arrow came right at her and she closed her eyes tight and when she opened them she could have swore she saw InuYasha move her just an inch and the arrow stuck straight out of the tree only centimeters from Kagome's ear.

Kikyo was gone and Kagome got up and went to the well, got in went to her room and laid on her bed trying to figure out what happened.

After a mind numbing couple of hours Kagome got out of bed and saw that it was night already. She had been contemplating all the possibilities of what might have saved her when Kikyo tried to shoot her. Kagome was quite tired and fell asleep quickly only to wake up just as quick. The next morning she didn’t eat breakfast or say goodbye, she simply got ready and went to school. Once she got to her first class she sat down in her normal seat without even taking a glance at Kento. Their were still a few minutes before the first bell so others were talking amongst themselves.

“Hey Kagome how are you?” Kagome looked to see Hojo standing in front of her desk.

“Oh hi Hojo, I’m fine how are you?” She was actually happy to see him. It had been so long now that she used to bring her gifts when he thought that she was sick.

“I’m good. You have been in school a lot lately and then I noticed that yesterday you weren’t here, are you alright?” He asked with concern in his eyes. She couldn’t help but feel that Hojo was one of her only true friends because he cared so much about her.

“Oh Hojo I’m fine I was just not in the mood to come to school so I took a day off.” She said some what ashamed of missing school because she was mad.

Relief washed over his face after hearing these words. “Oh that’s good to know. Well since you seem to be feeling much better would you finally go to the movies with me without standing me up?” he asked with a smile on his face. She felt a ping of guilt and said to herself that she owes him that much.

“Hojo I would be delighted.” He smiled then took his seat when the teacher came in. Kagome snuck a look at Kento and saw a look on his face she couldn’t quite figure out. I was a cross between anger and guilt. Kagome loved it.

Sango_theDemon_slayer1 - January 23, 2008 02:35 PM (GMT)
For The remainder of class Kagome couldn’t stop thinking of her up coming date with Hojo. As the bell rang Kagome collected her things and was getting ready to walk out the door when some one tapped her on the shoulder. It was Kento.

“Can I talk to you for a moment?” he asked in a hard tone of voice.

“Why we have nothing to talk about unless you're going to apologize than I have a few minutes before my next class.” Kagome heard the bitchiness in her voice but ultimately decided it was appropriate.

“Why should I apologize? I didn’t do anything wrong.” His voice was filed with acid as well.

Kagome smiled, shrugged her shoulders, and walked towards the door. Kento followed her into the hall and matched her quick strides.

“Can I talk to you or not?” he asked, irritation clear in his voice.

“You can talk all you want, but you should really be asking if I will listen or not.” She was surprised she had the courage to act this way. But then again she was pissed and why not take it out on the one who caused the aggravation, she thought.

“Fine!” he shouted right there in the crowded hall. “Will you freakin’ listen to what I have to say?” Kagome was taken back by the shouting and grew angrier that she was being yelled at in front of her classmates. Her face grew red with anger.

“No! No I wont listen to you because I don’t appreciate you're tone! And further more there is nothing that we need to discuss because I told you something I have never told anyone and you didn’t believe me! There are you happy you have successfully ruined my morning!” Kagome stomped down the hall towards her next class leaving behind a dumbstruck Kento and Terrified classmates.

* * *

The rest of the day for Kagome passed rather quickly. Once her final bell rang she flew out the doors eager to get home. She saw Hojo leaning against the school wall and he stood straight up as he saw her come out of the building. As soon as he was aware she had seen him he drew a smile to his face.

“Hey Kagome, do you mind if I walk you home?” he asked enthusiastically.

“of course not Hojo. I would be honored.” She said put on a halfhearted grin. They walked down the side walk and Hojo was the first to break their silence.

“Hey um…Kagome we need to talk about something,” uh oh this didn’t sound good. She nodded indicating to him that he should continue. He did, “ok well Kagome I wanted to talk about our date, and well I know about you're last boyfriend.” He frowned at that last part.
“Oh.” Was all Kagome could choke out, a large lump forming in her throat at the mere mention of him.

“Yeah, look Kagome I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable so I thought that when we go to the movies we should only go as friends because I want to make you feel better not… you know, like you're just doing this because you feel bad about all the times you stood me up.” A sort of grin made its way to his face at that last part.

Kagome didn’t know what to say. She looked at him for a moment registering what he just said. Finally it sunk in and she gave Hojo a big hug. He did care. He was the only one of her friends who was actually trying to make her feel better. Of course Umi, Edi, and Ayume had tried to cheer her up at first but her unwillingness to have fun made them give up after the fist 3 months and then quit hanging out with her all together in the end. She pulled away and looked at Hojo. “Thank you so much, Hojo! I can really count on you for support?” it came out more of a question than a statement.

“Of course Kagome, I will be there for you if you need me.” He smiled and they walked again down the road to her house.

After their short walk, Kagome and Hojo walked up the steps to her house. Once there they planned out their ‘friend date’ as Hojo put it. Hojo left and Kagome immediately decided to go to the feudal era. Once there she was sure to check around not wanting to run into Kikyo again. Kagome found the new hut easily and went in side. She saw Sango taking care of Kenjo and Kimila.

“Oh hello Kagome it’s so good to see you, how have you been?” she asked with a big grin.

“I’ve been good and you?” she asked as she grabbed Kimila from her arms.¬

“I’m very busy these days if you didn’t notice,” she said as she looked at the babies.

“Yeah I’m sorry about that I’ve got big news though,” she grinned some what. Sango immediately snapped to attention.

“Oh I love good news what is it?” she asked curiously.

“Well I have a “date” this weekend,” – she made air quotes at the word ‘date’- “and we’re going to see a movie.” Kagome felt something in the bottom of her stomach but just passed it off as nerves.

“Oh, a date I see. That’s nice you know, you getting over Inu- I mean him.” Sango immediately regretted bringing that up.

Kagome couldn’t speak. She hadn’t seen it like that. She had the feeling like she was cheating on InuYasha. She had to leave. She got up on her feet and started to walk out after putting Kimila down.

“Kagome I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you're feelings I didn’t-“ she was cut off by Kagome.

“Its ok I just need to get home and do my school work,” she faked a smile and dashed out of the hut. She knew she was acting absurd. She couldn’t help it. She ran as fast as she could. She could feel the tears. As she got in the well she couldn’t hold it together anymore. ‘What brought this on?’ she asked herself. ‘I knew what I was doing when I said yes to Hojo,’ she was sobbing violently now. ‘I have no reason to act this way, I have no right anymore.’ She finally made it into her house and collapsed on her couch unable to make it up to her room. No one was home that much she was certain of.

After a good hour of crying Kagome was finally able to fall asleep. In her dream she was in the forest. Not in her time but his. She just wondered through the trees till she came to her tree, their tree. She saw someone standing against it and knew immediately who it was. Her beloved InuYasha. She ran to him, once within touching distance he rapped his arms around her and his lips found hers without fail. They stayed like this for quite some time before Kagome had to breath. She looked up into his golden eyes that smoldered with passion.

“Hello Kagome, how are you?” he asked in a velvet tone.

“InuYasha…” she didn’t finish she just went onto her tippy toes and kissed him again. “InuYasha,” she again “I suspect you're here to tell me something important huh?” she asked not wanting to know the answer. He nodded his head. “Well what is it?” she asked reluctantly.

“Kagome I-“he didn’t finish because Kagome was waken up by her mother at that moment.

"Kagome! Kagome are you alright?” he mother asked frantically

“Mom I’m fine,” Kagome said trying calm her mother down.

“I didn’t know what to think you were talking in you're sleep and then started crying“ Kagome stopped listening to her mom and started thinking about her dream. ‘What was he trying to tell me?’ she was trying to think but her mom kept prattling on and on.

“Mom don’t worry it was just a bad dream.” She said flatly the got up from the couch and started towards her room. Her little brother came down the stairs the same time that she was going up and ducked around her not even making eye contact. ‘How long had that been going on?’ She thought to herself bewildered. Her brother always said hi to her whenever they passed each other, when did he quit talking to her? Ugh this was just one of the suckiest ever in her book. She got to her room and lay on her bed recalling her dream. She could feel her eyelids get heavy and noise from outside her window drown out when she heard a knock on her door. She went to open it and saw Sota.

“Hey mom wants to know if you're going to eat dinner tonight,” his voice was so vacant of all expression or emotion. Kagome shook her head no and Sota walked down the hall without another word. Kagome slammed her door shut. ‘What the hell is with that little jerk?!’ She needed to scream and curse and throw something she was so mad. She threw her door open and stormed down the stairs and past her family eating in the kitchen.

“Kagome are you alright?” Her mother asked from the kitchen.

“I’m fine!” she snapped” I’ll be back later,” she stormed out the door and slammed it. Her mother, grandpa, and brother all looked at each other shocked.

Kagome had thought about going to the feudal era to find Kikyo and beat the sh*t out of her but decided against it. She was walking down the street into town and was getting ready to kick the man she was walking behind in the knee for walking so slow. It was late afternoon and the streets were crowded from all the people getting off work. She walked into a local restaurant just to get away from all those people. When she turned around and saw the person working the front counter anger over took her again. It was Kento.

“Oh hello may I help you?” he asked with a fake greeting.

“Oh yes you are the perfect person for me to see right now can you take a break?” she asked, all her words running together. He looked at the clock and nodded his head and walked around the counter to walk with her.

They walked out of the restaurant and down the street. ¬

“So the last time we talked you wanted to ask me something or tell me something, what was it?” Kagome ask after a moment.

“Yeah it’s about that Hojo guy,” Kagome just shook her head even though she didn’t know what he was getting at. “I don’t know if you should go out with him.”

“Why do you say that?” Kagome asked stunned. ‘Does he even know Hojo?’ she asked herself.

“Because I get a bad feeling about him and well I don’t know how to say this but well… I don’t think you should go out with him.” Kagome stopped short and looked at him. His face was completely serious. “I’m only looking out for you.” he said.

At his last word Kagome couldn’t hold it in anymore, she burst out in a hysterical laughter. She couldn’t breath she was laughing so hard. What the hell did he mean? Looking out for her, yeah right. She told him a deep dark secret and he threw it back in her face by telling her she was lying. This thought changed her mood completely: she was no longer hysterics but anger so strong her face felt like it was on fire.

“That’s what you're doing,” she accused “Looking out for me! That’s what you call it! I told you something so deep and so personal my own mother doesn’t even know!” She knew she was lying about that part but she wanted to get her point across. “I was in love with him and I lost him and you were the first person I thought I could tell without being recommended to an insane asylum but no you thought I was making fun of you! If you even knew me you would know I’m not one to judge.” She was officially lying through her teeth but she thought ‘screw it I’m never going to be close to him again why not rip up every ounce of trust that could linger.’

“Hey look I had never told anyone my secret either but what was I supposed to think? Besides I only said anything about Hojo because I wanted to be a good friend!” he said getting angry to.

“We are not friends ok! Hojo and I are friends but not me and you. I trust Hojo completely because he was always there even when I didn’t know he was. But you, you lost any piece of friendship you had from me when you walked away the other morning.”
She was calming down some then realized the crowed that had formed around them. A tall man came to her side.

“Miss is everything ok,” he asked. She turned to look at him and realized it was a police officer. She looked back at Kento and gave him an evil smirk. He froze once he comprehended what she was smirking about then mouthed the words ‘you wouldn’t’.

She turned to the officer and spoke clearly “No officer I’m fine. But thank you.” She smiled and he walked away. She turned back to Kento.

“You got lucky this time.” She said and went to turn away but he caught her arm violently hard and spun her around. She took in a big gulp of air and let it out in the form of an ear shattering scream and the officer started running back towards them.

Kagome smiled as she walked into her house. Her mom rushed up to her and hugged her tightly, then became very serious.

“Kagome where have you been?” she demanded.

“I told you I was going out. Why can’t we just leave it at that?” Kagome asked with venom in her voice.

“Kagome… please don’t-“ Kagome cut her off.

“Mom when I was in the feudal era you didn’t care where I was but now that I’m back in this time you care. Why is that?” Kagome scrutinized.

“Because you weren’t alone then that’s why.” Her mother was taken back completely. She didn’t understand what had come over Kagome.

“Whatever I'm going to bed.” With that said she walked up the stares and into her room. She plopped down on her bed and laughed again as she recalled what had happened once Kento grabbed her arm.

The police officer came barreling down the street and tackled Kento to the ground. A lady that had been in the crowd came out to comfort Kagome. The officer pulled Kento up off the ground and put handcuffs on him.

“Sweetie would you like for me to drive you home?” the women asked. Kagome nodded her head and the lady led her to a silver car. Kagome told the women where to go and to let her out a few blocks away from her house. Once she was out of the car and he women was out of sight Kagome burst into a fit of hysterical laughter. She couldn’t believe what had just happened. She wondered if Kento went to jail.

She was jerked out of her reverie by her mother yet again. Her mother knocked on her door and didn’t wait for Kagome to open up. She burst in and her face was full of anger.

“Kagome I demand you tell me what happened tonight.” Her mother yelled which was unusual because her mother never raised her voice.

“I don’t want to talk about it!” Kagome yelled back.

“Kagome do you know who just called?” her mother asked in her normal tone but was still angry. Kagome shook her head not even aware that the phone had even wrung.

“It was Tenka Inushisa, Kento's mom. She told me you had he son sent to jail an hour ago. What happened Kagome what has gotten into you?” her mother asked.

“Maybe his death has caught up to me. Maybe I want attention. Maybe, but what happened between me and Kento is personal and it is none of your business so just leave things alone.” Kagome said and stormed past her mother into the hall and down the stairs. She walked out of her house and then went down towards the well.

O_O WHOA!

Shippo: That was harsh, Kagome. To do that to Inuyasha's Incarnation like that.

Sylt: Well.. It was sorta deserved, Shippo.

Shippo: *blinks* Huh?! What do you mean. Sylt?

Sylt: Kento grabbed Kagome's arm, for what ever reason, and nobody should grab another person's arm when said person is still a little frantic.

Shippo: *giggles* Or if a guard is still around.

Both 'sune: :hilarious: :hilarious:

Please update when you may, Sango!

:hehe: I have been called worse, Sango. ^^

Thanks for the compliment, by the way. I appreciate it. ^^

Sango, In case you have not read my replies and reviews in other fics and topics, I portray various characters like Sylt and Shippo as well as post as myself.

Occasionally I post little skits that have relevance to the reviews.
But, on occasion, they may be ideas for our fellow fic writers to help them update thier own stories.

:hehe: Also the posts may be completely random and have no relevance what so ever to the topic or story.. after the initial reply.

Please continue when you may, Sango. ^^

Sango_theDemon_slayer1 - March 3, 2008 04:44 AM (GMT)

Kagome stormed through the forest and was heading to Kaede’s hut when she sensed something to the side of her. Before she knew it a large twister was in front of her and when it vanished Koga was standing next to her. She looked up at him and it brought back memories.

“Hey Kagome!” he said in a surprised tone.

“Hey Koga,” she replied pleasantly. He sniffed around her.

“Um… so where’s the mutt?” he asked trying to ask nonchalant. Tears she had been fighting since she climbed out of the well spilled over the rim of her eyes. Koga took not of this and took her into his embrace. She felt so comforted by his presence. He reminded her of her life before it was taken over by sorrow and pain. She looked up at him.

“He... He was killed in our fight against Naraku,” she managed to say between sobs. He pulled her in tighter.

“Oh Kagome I'm so sorry,” he said and she could tell he meant it. They stayed standing that way for several moments until Kagome regained herself. She straightened up and looked at Koga. He was staring up at the moon. “Kagome?” he said.

“Yes… Koga,” she answered.

“Kagome I could make you so happy, if only I could get a chance.” He turned his head and looked down at her. “If only you could see how much I love you, you would understand. Kagome please… let me love you.” He said with emotion flooding his voice. she looked into his eyes and knew she couldn’t resist. Koga did have some part of her past and she knew he could make her happy. Instead of saying anything, she simply got on the tips of her toes and kissed him. Kissed him gently but that simple yet passionate kiss said everything she wanted to say.

~ three years later ~

“Mommy aunty Sango is coming” Nineta, Kagome's two year old daughter said. Kagome walked out of her hut and saw Sango, Kimila, Kenjo, and Miroku jr. (hehe had to put it) walking toward her. Kagome set down Deidin, her 10 month old son and greeted Sango.

“Hello Kagome,” Sango smiled. “How are you feeling?” she asked. Kagome rubbed the small bump in her abdomen.

“The baby kicked for the first time this morning,” she practically sang. Kagome smiled as her children played with Sango’s near the side of her hut. She looked up into the sky and smiled. Her life had taken a complete turn for the better. She had her wonderful husband Koga, beautiful children, a nice home, and memories of InuYasha which she could visit anytime she wanted.
