Title: Rurouni Kenshin
Description: aka the Smexy Wandering Samuari <3

Lady ZeiKumi - January 25, 2008 10:10 PM (GMT)
As you can guess, I'm a fan girl of his too. ;]]

Anyways, I love the anime. I've been a fan ever since the dub came out a few years ago.

Anyway else a fan?

anime dragon - January 27, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
I've read the first volume of the manga. It's pretty good.

Lady ZeiKumi - February 3, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
Me too! I used to watch it on Cartoon Network years ago, and I only got to see the first season I think. Now I'm watching it over on YouTube. I still love it. <3

Kagome24 - April 2, 2008 06:16 PM (GMT)
what i like mainly about Rurouni Kenshin is
how the series and the plot was put together.

the story was very nice

I really love Rurouni Kenshin. It was one of my favorite animes! I liked the pairings. KenshinXKaoru and SanoXMegumi.
I love Kenshin, but besides him, my favorite character would have to be Saito! XD Luv 'im

ichinichi - April 20, 2008 01:55 AM (GMT)
Rurouni Kenshin is my all-time favorite. I only recently got into it because I was bored one day and read up on the Manga. That soon sparked to a Kenshin Doll and the OVA series ^^ and several volumes of the Manga.

Takimaru of Setsuna - April 20, 2008 03:24 AM (GMT)
I don't think i like that show probably because it's on you 'MUST NOT KILL ANY ONE'
it also gives you a massage that you must treat everybody nice. Come one a 'blade that dos not kill' on top of that he never tries to kill any one what type off ''boll'' is that?

The show over all reminds me of Pokemon and telitabice put together.

I think Samurai Champloo is way better

Well any ways it my opinion

Then you have no taste in good great Anime and Manga.

Kenshin is not about the whole 'You mustn't kill', it's about a man who wants to atone for the sin of killing his wife, accidentally, and for all the lives he took away as being the "Hitokiri Battousai".

And his blade is called the 'Sakabatou', sometimes mis-translated as the 'Sakaba'. which is a reversed blade -- the dull edge of the blade is where the blade would be, and vice-versa. If Kenshin switched the way he held the sword, then he could do some serious damage.

If you are comparing Pokemon to Kenshin, then you obviously have no clue as to what good/great Anime is. Try to watch an Anime/read a Manga before judging it.

I have watched it.

And his blade is called the 'Sakabatou'

I am sorry that i don't remember the name of his sword and the names of his companions fore that mater.

Because i don't like that Anime that, dos not mean " I don't have a clue to what good/great Anime is"

I gave my opinion i did not fores it on any one. If you so passionate about it well good fore you there is no reason to bite other people heads over it.

And i still think this Anime is to dame "UPRIGHT"
If you don't like my opinion on this subject just say you "disagree" don't go saying that i have no "taste" on Anime.

Ohhhhhhhh, you misunderstood me. I am not passionate about the Anime at all! I just have it on my Top 5 list. But, what made me quote you and snap at you was the whole 'Pokemon' bit. I mean, surely, you could of found a better Anime to compare it to.

I had respected your opinion, and have no desire to shoot it down, but I, too, voice my opinion and defend the series because it is good, because it is emotional and because it's better than 'Pokemon'.

Pokemon? How the hell? Those are two totally different shows. I think Rurouni Kenshin gives a nice message. It's a very good show.

And what's so bad about not trying to kill anyone? That's part of the whole plot of show. You don't seem to have much understanding as far as this anime goes. You're reasons make no sense, either.

Saku-Tatsuya - April 20, 2008 11:20 PM (GMT)
His reasons most of the time don't make sense at all. Hell, I couldn't even make out what he's trying to say. All I'm catching is that he thinks the whole "Don't kill someone" is a bad moral to the story. I also think that the whole 'you must treat everyone nice' is another good moral to the story. If the world decided to pay attention to those morals and actually put them into play then the world would be much better.

Honestly, I think it is a good thing to have in the anime. At least it isn't one of those "OH THAT GUY HURTED ME! BECAUSE I AM BUTTHURT OVER THIS I'LL GET REVENGE!!!!!!!" Which by the way, revenge isn't something that solves everything, in fact, it causes more problems and not just for the perpetrator either.

I am thinking of watching this anime. From what I'm hearing, not only is it pretty accurate to Feudal Japan but also it has good morals.

ichinichi - April 20, 2008 11:38 PM (GMT)
I believe it is set in the Meiji Era... (I could be wrong), and it mainly plays around the Bakumastsu, Meiji and the "New Age".

Ninja.girl - April 21, 2008 02:13 AM (GMT)
I like the manga a lot more then I like the anime.

They took away Kenshin's Oro in the english anime

T.T

How could they? xDD

But, I do love both and it's a awesome series<3

I'm Sorry i dint make the point i was getting at clear.

I have a habit of compare Anime the world it's based in, to the reale world and frome there i make a judgment weather ill like the Anime or not.

Pokemon and Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) Well... what they say the value's they try to bring up, the way people interact with each other its like they truing to teach kids who are watching both animes how to make a world a better place. And all of that really robs me the wrong way.

What's so wrong with that? Is it good to have a world where people are killing each other? Is it nice to live in a world where war is started over stupid little things and stupid meaningless grudges? Would you prefer children to run around hurting others because that's all they see on TV? And you must know what they grow up to be like if that happens, right?

And it's not like they're trying to go out of their way to teach kids morals. At least Rurouni Kenshin isn't. Since when is having a good moral such a negative thing?

This is what rubs me the wrong way. I'm really confused about this and your views, no offense, seem a bit out of whack to me. Maybe you should try explaining why it rubs you the wrong way. Maybe then I'll understand it a bit better. Don't get me wrong, I do respect your opinion, but it doesn't make any type of sense to me.

We are living in the world you just described.

''Since when is having a good moral such a negative thing?'' It's not each and every one have their own definition of a good moral and we all try to teach the other even fores it. Thats what makes the world you technically described.

I don't see how it's outdated. And they're not trying to force it on anyone. It's not like it's brainwashing or anything. Each show as a point it wants to get across. Whether you like it or not is up to you. But I think it's just a bit crazy to dislike a show that's not even doing those things that you describe.

You're right, it is your opinion. It's all right to feel that way. But it doesn't make much sense and seems very weak and irrational. You did little to explain it at all. But whatever.

LOL My little brother loves Samurai X! He all ways makes me watch it with hem, so eventually i gotten in to it.

I also read somewhere that the animated series enjoys immense popularity worldwide, and although designed primarily for young male fans, its detailed exploration of emotion and relationships attracts many young female followers as well.

So i don't think it's "All out dated ".

At first, I always hated Tomoe... but, when I watched the OVA, I felt that despite being a sake-lover, she was perfect in every way. So, now, I favor both the K + K couple and the K + T ^^
