Microsoft offers to buy Yahoo! Inc. for $44.6 Billion

Microsoft is looking to gobble up somebody new now. They've now set their sights on Yahoo Inc. In some ways this can be good, like the combining of Yahoo IM and MSN IM together, and I support this on that, but this tells me that Microsoft is diversifying, something I'm not sure if I like or not. I actually look forward to the day Microsoft has to declare bankruptcy due to Linux and other open source software completely destroying Windows, but this looks like Microsoft already sees that day coming and so they've decided to branch out now while they still can before Windows starts to literally die on them. *sighs*

Yahoo and Microsoft are pretty much together anyway depending on the type of Windows you have.

Anything that is Windows 2000 or above may have the twosome combined in one IM.

For those of you who are like me and still have Windows 98 SE or lower...

MSN IM and Yahoo IM are separate.

As you said, Patriot, Thsi may be a good thing, but is it really?

*sighs* Only time will tell.

Well...

:hehe: Time and Kami. (No Blasphemy or Disrespect intended or meant)

After doing a some reading, Bill Gates I think has practically left the company. It's Steve Ballmer, the current CEO, who's the face of the company now, and I can see his idea of doing business is summed up in these words 'harsh, unfriendly, hit-your-competitor-hard-where-it-hurts, try to screw 'em'.

Ballmer believes in the old-school 'ruthlessness' kind of business that I hate so much. If he legally could, he probably would declare war on everybody who doesn't use Microsoft products in their computers, like me.

maybe that explains why the microsoft staff is completely fucking useless to my vista based questions....

GAWD I MAY BE YOUNG, BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN I AM A COMPLETE FUCKTARD WHEN IT COMES TO COMPUTERS ><

Follow up on this:

Yahoo to reject hostile bid.

Yahoo's not interested apparently, after mulling it over for several days. As long as Google continues to push Open Source-based stuff with it's activities, all I can say is GO GOOGLE!! GO LINUX/OPEN SOURCE! Maybe the days of Microsoft losing it's world dominance are finally arriving.
