Title: Mon'tu d'ssussun
Description: The world changed... fantasy rpg.

The Ubbergeek - February 2, 2008 03:09 AM (GMT)
-Why do you do all of this, mommy?

-Remember what I have told you, sweetie? Each us, we create a point of light in the darkness... So little boys and girls like you grow up in love...

This was long ago.... When Mireny was a little kid... Before her parents left for a quest, and never came back, out in this world that changed so much...

The hybrid, the half-drow children, grew up and aged with friends of her parents. Over the years, as the world called to her, she found a determination to trace a path for her, united under the legacy of her father and mother; the human warrior that her drow priestress mother took up as husband. As her own blood, she mixed her father style with the devotion of her mother in a.. proactive way. An hunter of the things that wander in the darkness.

And there is many things that doeth wander.

A century ago, the goddess of Magic, Mystra, was murdered. Gods fought amongst themselves, many died. The world was ravaged by an horrendous magical even, the Spellplague. Millions died, countries, even continents where modified. Beings from other realities appeared in some places.

The worlds of Toril united with Abeir... 'And others'.

And so, in Targos, a young half-drow woman, already scarred by battle, went on long thought adventure... She would find what was the fate of her parents. If at least it means burrying their remains to peace. The colder north of the world was already in the past a rough, savage frontier... It became worse. Especialy in the frigid heart of winter.

The Icewind Dale

Caged between the jagged peaks of the Spine of the World and the frigid waters of the Sea of Moving Ice, Icewind Dale is a huddled collection of ten small towns, each attempting to carve out a life in the icy wastes.

The Dale has a reputation as a place of hiding and refuge for thieves, brigands, explorers, or pioneers seeking a better way of life far from the comfortable lands to the south, and it has drawn its share of nomads, tundra barbarians, rangers, craftsman, fishermen, and merchants willing to brave its harsh climate.

But the Dale is not a forgiving place... countless dangerous and malign creatures prowl the icy wastes, seeking nothing better than to prey upon any trespassers to their lands.

-Notes of Brother Marc of Cormyr - missionary priest of Illmater, compiled circa 1375 in the Candlekeep archives

The Ubbergeek - February 6, 2008 12:35 AM (GMT)
*The early morning....

In the room of the signal fire, a slander, dusky young woman watches the docks. Blonde hairs set in a long braid rest against her back, blood red eyes set on the activity in the lower part of the city, who hold the docks and the related shops and workhouses. isolated from the cold wind that lash at time from the inland.

Targos. Home. An home that she was ready to leave.

It was not always easy, here. The northerners have no love for the strangers out of the ports and trading places, and make you feel it. Especialy drow, the dark elves, whose awefull reputation of cruelity, deviousness and evil are sadly much set in truth. But in the wake - of the chaos decades that followed the madness that is now known in books are the Spellplague, they slowly accepted her mother; along her human husband, they fought along other unsung heroes the hordes of orcish brigands that ravaged the settlements years ago. The northerners respect bravery and honor, and allowed - tolerated - them settling in Targos. It was clear that they where not of dark wishes.

It's here she grew, as her parents settled in the lighthouse who needed a new owner. Father tended the signal fire, mother helped as an healer, and they now and then worked the knucklehead trout's 'ivory', in their own traditions. A good life, even if the brats could be mean to her half-drow being. She was a children of love...

Years ago, as she was a kid.... They left abruptly. A quest, an important things to do, they told lil' Mireny... They would be back. they would always think of her, their most cherish thing.... But they never came back to the front palissade fortifications, or the docks here. And so Mireny grew up with familly friends, old adventuring pals (you can't always escape the call of unknown roads...), foster parents now.

She waited this day for so long... Time is now. She have some adventuring experiene of her own. Time to find out what happened... Mireny would never rest in peace if she never did.*

Haiyato Berzerker - February 6, 2008 01:09 AM (GMT)
Masenthias:

I walked through the winterly lands, ahead of me I spotted what looked like a mass fortification. I had spent the night walking through the forest, using my fire based magics to keep myself heated.
"Could use a rest and replenish my items...." I muttered as I began a short trek towards the gate.
I hoped the guards would let me in, if not I might simply have to fight my way in.

Kitsune_kitty - February 6, 2008 01:14 AM (GMT)
Two travelers enter the city. A young girl dressed up as a whitemage (cleric) and another. a blue hairs youkai with pointed ears. They were riding horses into town, silently. "Why did you wish to come all the way out here miss Tatori?" The tall wolf asked. he was at least 6'4 in height. His long wolf tail swaying with eatch step. The girl smiled. "I wanted to continue my training in a much quieter place Vaika." She said cheerfuly. "Here seemed a good place to start." The wolf boy seemed a bit confused but shurgged it off. "Okay.. Whatever you say." He sighed a bit.

((Me like to join. Have the perfect person.

Name: Elvira
Race: Half dragon
Gender:Female
Class: Sacred Warder of Bahamut
Age: 19
Alignement: Lawful good
Look: Has long blue hair, mismatched eyes, one being deep blue while the other is light blue. She has on a simple robe of black and gold that may look fragile but is enchanted to be as strong as any armor but still give her freedom of movement. Her wings and tail are sky blue in color as well as the scales on her arms and legs, which she keeps covered. She also wears a necklace around her neck in the shape of a dragon, giving to her by her mother.
Items: Short sword, robe, backpack
Bio: Elvira was born in a bad time. Her parents' families didn't approve of their mating and it looked like a war would break out between them but it was stopped by her mother, saying that she loved her father. They then saw the bond between the two as followers of the evil dragon queen Tiamat attacked them. They both fought off the attack together, being the only ones who did. It then came out that they worshiped Bahamut. After leaving their families, they settled down, living a good life. After a few years, they were attacked again. Fearing for their daughter's life, Elvira's parents told her to run, which she did. She never saw them again and has been living alone since.

Perfect for this kind of rp. ^^))

A traveler was walking up to the city walls, a light cloak wrapped around the body loosely and a hood covering the face but by the body figure it could be told that this person was a female and a lovely looking one at that. Her robe of black and gold waved gently as she walked, soon passing by the walls and into the city.

The Ubbergeek - February 6, 2008 03:49 AM (GMT)
-Oy, ye down there by the gate! State yer purpose!

*Atops the wooden wall fortificatin of the palisade, by the side of the main gate, one of the archer interpelate Masenthias. Rough, yes, but the guy is a bit weird. And the locals tend to a bit of xenophobia.*

---

*Over the other gates of the town, the city gards and archer defenders eye the passing farmers, traders, hunters and other peddlers. The city may have been small and isolated as the other Ten Towns, it had an economical life - thank mostly to the peculiar knucklehead trout, a fish whose have an ivority like bone used for carvings and crafts, and who can fetch that way mundo coins.

However, again, they tended to be mefiant of the mudane, and while the two maidens have something pure and clergical and repectfull in a way, the giant boy was eyed with distaste and there was mutters in the background. Look like a malarite, a follower of the King of the Beasts, the divin predator god... And an hybrid - blessed by Malar?.

Even then, the god and his bloody clergy had a surprisingly anormal respect given - Mara WAS hunting, and earning His disfavour was getting bad hunts. Or huntings accents... or even getting hunted yourself. Oy. So, nothing was done, yet.*

(now, Tokijin's turn :fan: )

Rumours are ofthen the best source of information. In thought.

Vaika took their mounts to a stable. Helping the younger girl down from her mount. "You sure this is a good idea? Your far from home Young lady." He fussed. he was awful protective of the only friend he seemed to have on his journey. Tatori giggels. "You're such a worry wart! You can protect me just fine." She smiled. They were headed towards the inn.

The Ubbergeek - February 6, 2008 06:44 PM (GMT)
-I don't serve the dark ones generaly... But I will make an effort. Money is money. I have neverdavian vodka here....

*How surly, this burly nald man. At least, the Weeping Widow Inn was clean and warm. there was a few peoples at a table by the fireplace, some scurvy dogs who like typical luskan pirates... Better beware, drow. A tall and lanky uthgart dog with a mouse grey furr sleep closer the fire, and a butchy dwarven woman dressed as a city guard was snorring on a chair by the backwall. In the back, the stairs up, and opposed are the kitchen and bar area.

The innkeeper come in and offers cooly the said drow a glass of a lightly yellow-green translucid spirit liquor, with a somewhat sweet bison grass smell.*

-Twill be three bronzes, drow. And as for the rumors....

*A piratey man interjected, sneering.*

-Ye were to talk of the barbarians, aye? Ar... the tale in Sylverymoon was that the bloody brutes where massing as an 'horde' of sort to strikes ye Ten Towns...

-Not like you are going to help us, money-sabers.

-Nah, the cap'tains of Luskan await us soon....

-------------

*The inn, the same as said drow mage, was called the Weeping Widow Inn, judging by the post near - with a stylised drawing like a Banshee; the frightening ghost of an elf maiden.... There was light, and voices from the shut wooden revolving doors.*

Haiyato Berzerker - February 6, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
Masenthias:

I spotted some guards up on the wall watching me. When I arrived at the gate I looked around for some way to contact them.
"Huh.... wonder if I'll be welcome inside." I thought.
A cold wind blew, taking the heat out of my body, regardless of me wearing a large bear skin coat. I shivered abit and continued looking around.

Nightmare - February 6, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
The female walked along the city streets, not really caring for the inn right now as she looked around at the different shops.

The Ubbergeek - February 7, 2008 07:50 PM (GMT)
-hey you, are you deaf?
*the guard shoutted again, annoyed. He continued for Masenthias.*
-Are you a trader or hunter?

---

*Near the elegant lady, there was an humble shop, a knucklehead trout scrimshander. There was a few of his wares around by the window, his stalls closed due to the winter. She could see him by the fire in the back, working on a piece. An aged dwarf with a white beard and a red bandana, wearing a leather apron.*

*Also, there was an elven herborist trashing things in the back near, and a leatherworker who shown closed today.*

(awaiting Jostanos's turn)

A lone survivor of a shipwreck lies unconcious on a driftwood raft.

Somehow, against the currents of the river it floats upon, the raft and voyager ride towards a fortified town.

The guards at the Port, noticing this miracle, call for some assisstance to help the shipwreck survivor in.

Not getting an immediate reply from the lad.. They put him up in one of the inns to recover..

Perhaps when he comes to.. he may give the guards, and the elders some answers.

(How was that? ^^)

Kitsune_kitty - February 7, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
Tatori giggels again at Vaika who wasn't so sure about the idea. "Oh come on! You love snowy places. this is perfect." She pushes the inn doors open. small frail girl with white robes and a hood over her ears. "See? Not so bad, right?" She obviously wasn't afraid of people scarier than her and much much bigger. She walks to the innkeeper. "Do you have a room with two beds?" She inquired. "WHA!? Were sharing a room?!" Vaika piped. turning red. "Well we don't have alot of monney, Vaika."

Outside the town a Drow female was out hunting. she had an onyx staff and a knife in her boot. Hoping to catch something. if anyting.

Nightmare - February 7, 2008 09:37 PM (GMT)
She stopped in front of the shop window and watched the dwarf work, keeping the cloak around her tightly.

The Ubbergeek - February 7, 2008 10:04 PM (GMT)
*The old dwarf's hands work with skills born of decades of work... He carves out of the ivory-like material using a knife a sort of statue - a stylised skull, in a style used in ceremonials by the cult of Kelemvor, Lord of the Deads. He is quiet, silent, focused on the work.*

--

*In the pine trees, she heard a flutter of wings. A somewhat loud croacking... Surely one male ice grouse, a gamebird of the region. A delicious catch... Maybe it heard her?*

--

*The strange unconscious lad was brought to a small sailor inn of the docks, the Bed o' Trouts. Cheap and doubtus in cleanlyness, but well... The owner's wife, a tired-looking, bland brown-blonde human woman of middle-age, come to take care of him and any potential deep frozebites.

Atop the lighthouse, the dusky-skinned woman saw the mange. Curious, she quickly get her winter clothes and climbs down the stairs to leave for the inn. She place a round fur hat on her head, who hid her pointy - half-drow-born - ears. She would pack later....*

Haiyato Berzerker - February 7, 2008 11:57 PM (GMT)
Masenthias:

I looked up at the guard shouting at me. I took some steps back so that I could see the guard easier.
"Nay, I be a warrior." I replied. "I've been travelling and am in need of rest."
I sighed, hoping they would let me in. I winced again from the cold wind blowing

The Ubbergeek - February 8, 2008 12:55 AM (GMT)
-Come in, stranger... But know that we deals with troubles-makers without tergiversations.

*The guard atop concluded rather dryly, and the main gate of the palisade fortification opened for him.... Behind, a few men-at-arms, on guard duty. Looking bored, near the fire barrels to warm up. Racks of furnitures are aggainst the side walls on the back, and a sort of inner palissade - a corral? - is father.*

QUOTE (The Ubbergeek @ Feb 6 2008, 01:44 PM)

I took the glass and gave a try . "Not bad, I drank liquids more disgusting like goblin blood mixes whit subbskus egs. " in thought.

You say the "the horde"? Well if there is nithing but he horde, Then my yourny here was foolisch.

"Here ". The drow mage left 5 bronzes. "Take care, old man". Said Estar roaghly.
Estars face was ever grim. Yes he was a mercenary. Time to time. But that was not his purpose of living .

"Are the roads safe or have they been overrun by this horde?" Estars words were straith, he had his pride. Drows were not a loved nation, he cared not .

The Ubbergeek - February 8, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
-This all is a rumor again... If a chieftain regrouped barbarian tribes and clans, it must be in the east or north. Thankfully, we have bodies of water to stop them a moment if it's true, and there is also orcish tribes to jeopardises any serious hording.

*The tavern owner answered calmly, taking and counting the bronze coins. He added soon.*

-Well, across the Kelvin's Calm mont or crossing the water past Easthaven at well, the east, you are in the wild. Always was unsure, already. The Ten Towns are safe... for now, at least. Wouldn't go out alone, dark one.

*At this moment, he finaly noticed the young woman and her companion. He bowed deeply a bit.*

-Aye.... I have a few free rooms. Commoner room, or a merchant's? the first is one golden coin, the second 3 - it's furnished well an' fluffy, missie. They all have at least one bed and a couch.

*The pirate men smirks and oggles the 'purdy pale and clean cutie'. Wolf whistling, even. Not very subtile and courtly, no - but those are luskanites.*

Nightmare - February 9, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
She continued to watch the man work, kinda interested in what he was making and ignoring all that was going on around her.

Lalila pulls her knife out. eyeing the bird. She had mainy ideas on what to cook it as.

Tatori watched the lady in the inn for a minuet. not really sure what was going on but appraoched the innkeep.

Haiyato Berzerker - February 9, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
Masenthias:

"I'll keep it in mind.." I muttered as I walked in.
I kept my eyes pealed, not wanting to cause any problems because I had really no idea what they'd send after me. I looked around then walked towards the nearest person.
"Excuse me, but where is the nearest inn?" I asked.

The Ubbergeek - February 9, 2008 05:24 AM (GMT)
*Finally, the old dwarf noticed the elegant young lady and stopped working. Smilling, he adressed her.* Hello, young lass! Are ye here to see my things?

---

(guy, a drow mage.... He wa stalking with the innkeeper)

-Soo.... COmmoners or Merchants room, will it be?

---

*the bird looked at Lalila, fearfull. Tense* Skryyyyy?

--

*The person Masenthias address was a city men-at-arms. The young redhead quickly hid a flask of alcohol and straighten up* AH! He-hello, citizen! An inn? Sure! Pass the palisade and enter the city, then follow the logged path down, last building on the right of you. The Wheeping Willow Inn, nicest inn around.

---

*Mireny get in the sailors inn where the boy was brought, sliping her way in under the curses or outraged calls of the curious passers and clients* Let me pass...

Kitsune_kitty - February 9, 2008 03:31 PM (GMT)
(Oops my bad. ^^; I'll rephrase.)

Tatori looked up at Vaika. "Well maybe we'll just share a room. two bed's one room can't hurt. Right?" Vaika blushed. "But Tatori! A lady's room shouldn't be shared with anyone but a lover.. " Tatori giggels. "Well you'll have to just leave when I change then!" The girl was very cheerful. She finaly pulls her hood off and knocks off the snow. Big purple cat ears lay atop her head. "at least one of use likes the cold. Burr! And its not me!"

Lalila eased a bit closer. Boy this bird would make a good meal. She finaly sees her chance and throws the daggar at it as hard as she could.

Nightmare - February 10, 2008 01:45 AM (GMT)
The lady nodded and smiled gently, her hands holding onto the cloak around her body tight so it wouldn't get blown open.

Haiyato Berzerker - February 10, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
Masenthias:

I nodded and thanked the red head for the information and location of the inn. I began my walk out over towards the palisade and eventually past it.
"Wonder how long I'll be here for..." I thought and sighed.

The Ubbergeek - February 11, 2008 07:25 PM (GMT)
(Tokijin have read the turns, I think, but he ius a bit occuped, so I will make anothe rpost)

*The old dwarf smiles more, and walks to the door to open it.* Come in, mylady.. come seeing my works, welcome in my atelier! *he bowed in an archaic manner for the yong lady, opening the path*

--

*(Maisenthias could see it in the south... There, near the cliff bit, near the big grue used to pull logs up. The two story building on the right of him, the sign is visible.*

--

*The bird didn't see it coming... great throw! With a meep, the bird felt down on the snow, bleeding. His heart cut deeply. Good meal today. The wood near is calm again...*

--

*In the sailors inn where the curious boy was settled and treated, Mireny the half-breed made her way to the boy's room. sHE FLashes her holy symbol around... The Dancing Maiden medal that she bears at the neck everyday, like her mother did.* I know the gods's way! I will take care of the boy!

*The fatigued human woman bowed, smilling a bit. She knew Mireny... wild and chaotic spirit at time,a bit fiery-temepered, but honest and good...* he is here, the mysterious salvaged one... the men found him amongst a wreckage tat arrived with the river, to the dock.

*Mireny frowns and check on him, inspecting his conditions.* Goddess....
